Just stop to use the bathroom and get a fresh snack. We had some peaches. So sweet and so juice.

My son loves pumpkins that it inspired our recent trip here. I've never been to a pumpkin patch…read morebefore. I was really clueless of what to expect. There were several activities to do here besides pumpkin picking. The staff was nice as we were greeted with friendly smiles. The admission price is $18 at the entrance. It's $16 online, but you have to reserve a time slot. Children under two years old are free. I don't go to farms regularly so I don't have much to compare to it. We visited on a weekday, which wasn't too busy. It was mainly made up of school field trips. It was an enjoyable fall activity for my toddler. He was too small to fully enjoy the big slides and other playground areas. He still had fun seeing the different types of pumpkins and farm animals that he recognized from his books. He liked running around and going through the tunnels. There was a corn maze and carnival style games without the prizes. There was also a hayride, which you can also use to go to the parking lot. It's not a long walk to the parking lot, but it's good to know it was an option. There's a store if you want a souvenir or some apple cider. I forgot to take photos to post with this review, but I guess we were just caught up in the pumpkin patch fun. Seeing my son's happy face and hearing his laughter were worth the price of admission for me.

***Updated review after going to this farm for pumpkin season***…read more During Christmas time, you get to explore the grounds without paying an admission, but for the fall season it's $18 admission per person at the gate or $16 if you purchase tickets online ahead of time. There are a few more activities included during the fall season, but most require an additional cost anyway. For example they have pig races and pony rides on the weekends, but the pony rides cost $9. They also have apple and pumpkin cannons, but they cost $5 each. There are some activities only available on weekends, but if you're trying to avoid crowds and go on a weekday, admission costs the same. And on top of all that you still need to buy the pumpkins that you pick out. And you need to buy some pumpkin donuts before you leave (do not miss out on these donuts!) So, while I love this farm, it can turn into quite an expensive day depending on how many people you are coming with and which activities you choose to do.

Spending the day at Dolan Creek Farm is an absolute must! Pack a snack or buy something in the Auto Lounge Cafe - you won't go hungry here. There are hand washing stations (legit water and soap) all over the place, restrooms, and picnic tables. Nestled in the shadow of Mt. Hood, Dolan Creek Farm is a stunning backdrop to family photos, and an excellent way to kick-start this holiday season. Don't forget to grab a Farm sweatshirt or hat on your way out - I know I did!

Would love to see more pumpkins to be able to go pick yourself out in the field, but they did have quite a few to select from that were already pre-cleaned that just sit out in small areas of the farm. They also had you pick flowers, which was a really cool concept that I loved for an extra activity. Regarding payment: You don't pay for any items you purchased until the end! They use a sheet to track what your purchase throughout the farm. You pay at tin barn upon your exit along with the $25 car fee. All the staff were amazing and so helpful.

We went on a Saturday which was really busy and unfortunately they ran out of several food choices. However, service was really great which made up for it and the lines moved fairly quickly. My kids liked their pizza. One suggestion would be to offer a pumpkin beer for purchase. I did appreciate that they had cider options. My son's favorite activity was the ball launcher and my daughter's was seeing/petting all the animals. We had a great family day there which also included The Bird Man show and the Magic Show which both my kids enjoyed.

They were relatively everywhere, then when you go to look for a pumpkin, they are free roaming and you get to pet them and hang out with them. Such a beautiful animal. It was our first year and hoping to be back again soon!
