This review is solely based on drinks. We wanted to go somewhere not too busy for a friends birthday that fell on valentines Saturday night. We got a large table for a group on the main floor and we all ordered a couple rounds of drinks. The vibes were fun, the drinks were strong and prices weren't bad. My favorite was a valentines special called the Jazzmine martini that came with a little lip gummy. It did clear out around 9:30 so that might be the time to go if you want to avoid the crowd. They have a special for $20 unlimited play through the end of February. read more

Highlights included the Falafel Sliders, which were a hit, and a variety of veggies served with hummus and other dips. The Sweet Potato Fries, Brussel Sprouts, and Guacamole were all solid choices for casual bites. While the Pretzels were hit or miss, they added to the variety. I didn't personally try the chicken or meat sliders, but teammates mentioned they were decent. Overall, the food was surprisingly good considering it was served in a bowling alley setting. This was my first time experiencing Duckpin Bowling, and it was such a fun twist! Unlike traditional 10-pin bowling, duckpin involves a smaller, finger-hole-free ball and allows for three rolls per frame, similar to candlepin bowling. The unique format added an exciting element to the game, and our team thoroughly enjoyed it. This is definitely something I'd love to try again when the opportunity arises. Beyond bowling, the venue offered plenty of activities. There's a karaoke section, a small-sized arcade area, and even a cornhole/beanbag toss section. The variety of entertainment options makes it a versatile venue perfect for team outings, parties, or just a fun night out with friends. The place was lively and bustling, with a vibrant energy that added to the experience. It's clearly a popular spot, so reservations or early arrivals might be wise. Punch Bowl Social is a great choice for a fun and engaging outing. The combination of good food, excellent service, and unique entertainment options makes it a must-try. First off thank you Punch Bowl for having us at your lovely Luau event! We had a blast. The food was the perfect. It had a little bit of everything. There was a Feta Cucumber salad with tomatoes and red onions, salmon, pork sliders and mac and cheese. My absolute fav's were the Feta Salad and Mac & Cheese. For drinks the Tiki Torch was a tinge of sweet, but also had some smokey mezcal flavors. Downstairs we played some arcade games. They also have bowling, darts, karaoke and some board games. After visiting the Capitol this was the perfect spot to have lunch and play games with my middle school boys. We even got to watch the game while we ate. Our server was attentive and the food came out fast. I'm normally not thrilled with quesadillas, but this one off the appetizer menu was an exception. The chicken and waffles were also excellent! We wandered in on a weekday afternoon wanting to checkout this Punch Bowl Social location. We've been to one other in Portland and had a great time, so wanted to see if this one was similar. It was not busy at the time we went so we were free to play ping pong, darts, and shuffleboard all that we wanted. Karaoke and bowling were also available for an additional fee. We don't dine or drink at this location, but I'm sure it gets busy on weekends and in the evenings. This is a great place for date night or a group hangout. read more

This PBS location is a bit outdated though and the underground bowling is a little dingy. It felt more bar like with sticky floors and strange smells rather than a family friendly hangout. Had a few friends in town who wanted to check out Punch Bowl Social over the weekend and since we were in the area we decided to head on in. Upon walking in, the restaurant area is bright and welcoming and definitely nicely decorated. The host stand was super friendly and broke down everything and outlined what we could find on both floors. If you're in the mood for a drink, I would highly recommend you stay on the main floor. After descending down the stairs to the bottom floor, I should've trusted my gut instinct and headed on up back upstairs. The bottom floor definitely looks a bit seedy and the staff is super disengaged. When trying to order drinks at the bottom bar, the bartender couldn't have been less friendly and disconnected. At times it felt like there was no staff in the area aside from the kiosk for bowling shoes and board games. Lightening on the bottom floor is super dark and had it been just a bit brighter it could've really changed the ambiance. What couldn't be forgiven though was how gross and sticky all tables were. I doubt they had been properly cleaned for a few days. If we had seen a staff member we could've addressed this in the moment. Seems like other people who were bowling had a better experience, but keep in mind this is like carnival bowling as they're not full size pins (each lane has them on strings) and the lanes in proportion are smaller. Not sure if this location for Punch Bowl Social is my vibe. I think their Domain location is much more inviting, aesthetically pleasing, and more vibrant. read more

Punch Bowl Social was just okay. One of the main reasons it was knocked down a full star is that none of the TVs played any of the sports games on. With being such a large space with a big bar and a lot of tv's, you think they would be able to get regular cable to play football. We went over college football opening week and the staff was unable to turn on any of the games. Disappointing. If you are looking to go and watch sports while enjoying your time there, I would call ahead and make sure they have the channel since they only seem to have 5 channels. The service was mediocre. Slow at times. Fast at times. A bunch of games were available to play so we didn't have to worry about reserving any. For food, I really enjoyed my smashburger, I thought it was delicious. However, I tried my boyfriend's chicken and waffles and it was sub-par. Again, it's hit or miss. If you're looking for a spot with games, have a big crowd and need a last minute place to get everyone together, this is a good spot then. read more

My wife and I bellied up to the bar for dinner on a busy Sunday night. They had a private party with 15-20 people, and about 3/4 of the bar patrons showed up at the same time. The bartender did his best to keep up and apologized a number of times, but he and the other staff did a great job. I got the Cocoa Dusted Carnitas but swapped out corn for flour tortillas. I added in the pickled chiles from my wife's bowl, and the combo was delicious! My wife got the Superfood Bowl and added chicken for $5. It was a great bowl of fresh grains and veggies. It is absolutely a fun place to have a good time with with your friends, they offer some free games like corn holes, Jenga, darts, etc. and other games you'll have to pay by hour, like bowling, ping pong etc. There are 4-5 lanes for bowling, but get there early or get on the waitlist early, as soon as you arrive. This is definitely not a place for good food. We got the Ahi salad and chicken quesadillas, our other friends got some drinks, salad and a burger. We weren't a big fan of the food unfortunately. I adore this place, but apparently, they remodeled it on 3/25. There are no more darts; bowling is now guarded by the front desk girl, who is crazy rude, doesn't understand customer service, and ruined our night last night with my two sons in tow. I had come with my two boys, and she didn't try to help us get seated, understand the new layout, or see what could fit a family with this new floorplan. I was so flabbergasted that I chose to leave because she gave us no options nicely and in front of my kids. It makes me sad when one person can change the direction of everything and never even try to understand her role and how to make it better. Please find friendlier employees who care about regulars who often spend money here, work, and live nearby. The service industry downtown should understand that people who live in the close to town and frequent places with their children and take time to bring them there should be spoken to nicely. I'm just saying. Customer service is key and they are lacking with this young girl. The bartender downstairs is fantastic. Always lovely and helpful. Hopefully, we will try this again next week. Our waitress was very unprofessional. I asked for lemon. When I didn't receive the lemon I went to the bar and asked her for lemon. She says to me, " there's some right there". Mind you I was sitting on the opposite side of the table where the lemon was. Went with family for publicized Mother's Day Jazz, Brunch and Musical Bingo. I had low expectations and they did not disappoint. Host was a hot mess and unable to answer questions about bingo start time, when does music begin... server was in the weeds from the moment we sat. she tried but had 9 tables (that we saw) and a clueless food runner who kept trying to deliver the wrong food to us. Food served with no condiments for burgers nor dressing for salad, no catsup for fries ( requiring a run upstairs to get), no parm on the Parm Tator Tots (we asked for ramekin of cheese to sprinkle ourselves-by the time it came, tots were cold). Drinks (2 mimosas, 1 Paloma, 2 Sprite) took 15 minutes. Every little thing took sooo long. I had to get app plates and flatware at the bar-server was all over the place. bingo guy ran out of cards after 1 round (?) so we shot darts while he waited to get more from the back (?). 45 minutes later, we were given bingo pieces of paper. Got them an hour and 15 min ago ish after arriving and there was hardly anyone in the place. This was burgers. Then when the food came out she would bring out two dishes go serve a different table or tend to another matter, come back with two more plates, do something else.... By the time me (the 8th person) got my food the first person was almost finished.
