Lively spot on a Saturday night! They've got a full food menu. I tried the Artesian ranch steak frites, watermelon salad, fried olives, and market pasta. The salad could use more flavoring but the pasta and fried olives were solid. We also ordered (almost) the entire drink menu -- the Arlene (frozen), the green drink (tequila), the East End Cooler (watermelon vodka), and the Fitz Spritz. All were fun and tasty, but my friend's espresso martini was weirdly salty (definitely skip that one). After 10 PM, a DJ came out and the place started to get popping. Great vibes, good drinks, and an easy spot to keep the night going!

The pros: great location close to other bars and restaurants. Clean bathrooms, several seating options (booths, tables, and barstools inside, as well as large picnic tables outside), a pool table inside, and live music outside. Also a private parking lot onsite, making it easy to park and just walk right in. The cons: SO loud. Live music outside and loud music from speakers inside, but the whole place is open so the noise competes constantly. Lots of ants outside, as well. The table we were at had hundreds crawling around underneath it. In general, it was a cool experience, but I think a few things need to be improved. It definitely is a cool spot, though!

Went to the East End Ballroom after a run based on a recommendation. It is a dynamic new bar, restaurant, cafe and live music venue. The inside is very swanky with a bar area and large dining area. They have the largest booths I have ever seen. The dining area is adorned with mauve velvet curtains. They have a large TV that they were broadcasting sporting events. They also have an upstairs area where they can host events. We sat in the dining area in one of the most enormous booths ever! The service was very welcoming and friendly. They had a vendor on site giving free samples of a tequila sourced from cactus and we tried a shot. I ordered the white peach Bellini with for my brunch cocktail. I also tried the breakfast sandwich with brioche, fried egg, thick cut maple bacon and Gruyère cheese. The egg was cooked over easy and the yoke breaks on the sandwich. The bacon was especially tasty with a rich hickory flavor. I really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich but felt like it could have used a side. The reason I am removing a star is because we experienced several issues with our meal including: *Order was incorrect - The grain bowl ordered with steak but came out with avocado. *Missing ingredients - The grain bowl did not include the amaranth even though it was not removed from the menu. *Slow food preparation - The food took a very long time maybe due to the large event they were hosting upstairs. *Price Discrepancy - The white beach Bellini showed as $11 on my bill and $8 on the menu. (The server did comp the drink when I brought this to his attention.) This venue has a lot of weekly programming event on the website including a martini happy hour, live music and artisan market. It has a lovely outdoor space with a trellis and lots of plants. Was glad to try out a new spot in East Austin.

Grain Bowl: Two poached eggs (after breaking the yolks) , wild rice, sweet potato, kale, tahini, pickled shallots, amaranth

We chose East End Ballroom because it was within walking distance from cabana Club, where we joined in a 3-mile run. We were very hungry! The atmosphere is very luxurious, with velvet curtains, large marble tables, and fine wooden furniture. To me, it felt a little too fancy for breakfast. It was a little pricey, but I guess in line with other Austin restaurants. I ordered the Grain Bowl: Two poached eggs, wild rice, sweet potato, kale, tahini, pickled shallots, amaranth. $13. It sounded really tasty...and healthy. You could add chicken for $6 or Steak for $8. I skipped the add-ons, because the two eggs provided enough protein. It took a while for the food to come; I imagined it was because we got there right at 10:00am, their opening time. The server kept coming to our table to check on us to see if everything was all right. The bowl seemed a little skimpy, but it looked beautiful and was very good. The two poached eggs blended well with the wild rice, sweet potato, kale, pickled shallots, and amaranth. I noticed that it didn't contain tahini, as listed on the menu. Tahini would have made the bowl more hearty, given it additional flavor and would have made it more filling. (I was still a little hungry after eating.) I inquired about the omission. The server went back and asked the chef. He said they removed it from the offering but haven't updated the menu yet. They could have mentioned that after I ordered it; maybe they thought I wouldn't notice. My friend also ordered the Grain Bowl with steak. It came without steak but with Avocado. She was okay with the mistake, as long as she wasn't charged an additional $8. My other friend ordered a Peach Bellini, listed on the menu for $9. She was charged $11 and mentioned the discrepancy. The server removed the charge completely because he didn't know how to change the price on the app. He was gracious about the mistakes. My sense is that they're a new restaurant and are working out the kinks. At any rate, it's a beautiful and spacious place. The tables are too large for an intimate experience but it felt grandiose. It would be fun to go back in the evening for their live music events. As we walked out, we noticed the lush plants.

    absolutely amazing steak!

Thursday night steak night at East End Ballroom is a standout. This upscale sports bar knows how to do steak the right way. It's perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and far better than what you'd expect from a casual game-day spot. Do not skip pairing the steak with a bowl of sticky rice. The combination works surprisingly well and takes the meal to the next level. The service is impeccable--attentive, friendly, and right on point without being overbearing. With plenty of TVs, great cocktails, and a fun but polished atmosphere, it's easy to enjoy a great meal while catching a game. If you're looking for a reliable Thursday night dinner in a lively, elevated sports bar setting, East End Ballroom's steak night is worth the visit. One word of advice the parking can be a little tricky Brilliant Dinning!

Loveeeee this place. The service has been impeccable the last three times we went. The vibe is awesome and very unique to the east side. Absolutely love the music every weekend, especially Sunday service! There aren't many reviews for the food here, but I absolutely loved everything we ordered... highly recommend the fried olives

Had an amazing date night at East End Ballroom. We loved the vintage-meets-modern vibe and the plush booths that felt both cozy and a little bit glam. We ordered the steak frites (so tender, fries crispy and perfect) and enjoyed their wine and cocktails. The energy shifted seamlessly as the night went on, with music and a lively bar crowd, but we never felt rushed to leave our table. The outdoor courtyard was a bonus, super cute under the string lights. Definitely coming back next time we want food, drinks, and a fun night out all in one spot.

Grabbed a quick bite and drink durning Wednesday happy hour! The service was fast and the vibe was chill. I ordered a petite espresso martini and the burger! Both great options.

    Dog friendly patio

This spot checks all the boxes for a laid-back evening -- dog-friendly patio, great food, excellent music, and solid drinks. The Caesar salad was crisp and well-dressed - love a miso rendition, the steak frites rich and flavorful, and the cocktails perfectly balanced. The music programming is on point, with a great selection of artists & DJs, like the Peterson Brothers and Sean the Outer Heaven owner (RIP) that make the atmosphere even better -- no surprise, since the owners used to run one of my favorite bars in Brooklyn. Perfect for a casual week night out where everyone (two-legged and four-legged) leaves happy, or a little boogie on the weekends!

Nice clean ambiance, delicious food, average service, but a little pricey for what you get.

I felt the vibe instantly, like as soon as I put one foot in the door. Magical, sophisticated, worldly, wonderful and more were the feelings that spontaneously hit me. The dark and elegant decor, lighting, design, & layout made me feel as though I were in a high-end Tokyo cocktail lounge. The front room as I mentioned is an intimate bar and lounge area with artwork adorning the walls. It's a modern, minimalist, and sleek space. The artwork is ever-changing (every couple of months or so) and the cocktail menu changes right long with it. Note: artwork is available for purchase. What an absolutely glorious way of combining different mediums (liquid art vs physical art). The craft cocktails & mocktails are the epitome of works of art. I've had great cocktails and mocktails elsewhere but honestly I'd be hard pressed to find anything on this level. You're taken into an entirely different realm just watching the genius of mixologists. It's mesmerizing watching them hone their craft. In the back of the lounge is an enclave of eclectic art and other pieces that then leads you to Konbini, the sushi bar. It's an industrial, warehouse vibe with a long counter that screams hip, Tokyo inspired, late-night eatery. Service is impeccable and welcoming at this cosmopolitan venue. It's truly an amazing experience.

I was pretty bothered by my experience here. Even aside from their mid drinks, it felt like we were constantly chasing down servers and they were only attentive when they needed something from us. We went to the photobooth to take pictures before we sat down, but the machine ate my money and broke down. I let a server know, and he came back and said he would comp $20 off of our meal, which I was happy about. I honestly only wanted them to refund me my $10 for the photobooth strip. However, they came back a few minutes later and gave us a photo card and told us to use it to pay for the photobooth and it could be used an unlimited amount of times. I was also happy with this solution, but what happened afterwards left a bad taste in my friends' and my mouth. We hadn't gotten menus or been asked what we wanted to order yet. We were just waiting around for drink menus and food menus, so we didn't want to get up and go take photos when they might come back to take our orders. The manager (?) came back to me a few minutes later and asked if we had taken photos yet, and I let him know that we were waiting to be given menus. He said someone else would give us menus, and another server gave us only a drink menu. A few minutes later, we are still waiting for food menus. The same manager came back and asked us to not lose the photo card. At this point, we were frustrated. Why come back constantly to ask for a photo card when we haven't even been given our food or our menus yet? When we finally got our food, a different server asked if we had given back the photo card yet. They were so pressed about getting this photo card back and not actually getting our orders, and we also thought it was a bit distasteful to offer a solution (the $20 off the meal) but then go back on it with the photo card. It was presented as "unlimited" swipes but we were rushed to give the card back, and realistically, we only had enough time to take one set of photos. The drinks themselves were truly just okay. I don't think any of us were particularly impressed with our drinks, but the interior of Papercut is really nice and intimate.

THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here to catch up with a buddy that enjoys wine as much as I do. Starting off, we got a glass of Aubry brut 1er cru glass. Nice, acidic, and bubbly. What I expect out of champagne. We got a philippe jouan (aka pinot noir) bottle which was so delicious. For food, we got the baguette and a egg confit dish that was divine. Then wrapping up, we got a single glass of produttori del barbaresco and capellano barolo. These were super old wines from the 80s and boy were they screaming tertiary notes. Awesome experience. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall, we spent around $270 for a bottle of pinot noir, two glasses of really old wine and a sneak peek bite of their tasting menu. Will be back to try more wines and food.

The Scarlett crab was soo good and added the perfect amount of saltiness and sweetness to the comforting soup! For our mains, we got the duck which had a delicious hoisin sauce. While I enjoyed the bok choy I felt it could have a better accompaniment. We also got the salmon which had a smaller portion, but was unique in its taste and execution.
