We had a great time celebrating my brother's birthday! The place is huge with several bowling alley areas, arcade games, a karaoke room, full bar, shoe rentals for bowling, and rooms for special parties with games like Jenga, paddle ball, and more. It's perfect for a group gathering of fun activities, drinks, and food! . We had a party of 21 and they provided us with one of the first rooms once you enter the place. The staff were friendly and our server Erica was attentive and great! She helped facilitate our food order: we did two platter of tacos that was served in a platter of chicken, pulled pork, and shrimp accompanied with cilantro, thinly sliced onion and two kinds of sauces for topping. I believe one was a chipotle sauce the other a crema. We got corn and flour tortillas where everyone built their own taco.. it was good, my favorite was the chicken tacos that i used the corn tortilla with. Then we had four orders of the wings with a variety of seasonings: the Thai chil and buffalo sauce was a hit! We had to do a second round of orders. They were crispy and flavorful. The nachos were good we had two platters of it. They custom the boneless chicken pipers for our party and they were delicious served with three different sauces. The drinks were also good. From apetol spritz, to tide, and variety of beer on tap. We had a great time and would recommend for a fun time with friends and family. It's like an adult version of Dave and Buster. The only thing I want to add was it was hard to reach a staff member to get help with preplanning the party ideas. We expected a crowd for Easter Sunday brunch, but it was nearly dead. It was our first visit, so we didn't know what to expect, but we loved the vibe. There are table games you can borrow for free + plenty of pay to play opportunities: ping pong, pool, bowling, even karaoke. There were plenty of insta-worthy spots for pics, and they even offered a selfie station (with GIF option) with the opportunity to downloads pics from online for free. Really enjoyed myself at this private Bumble event. This was our first time here and the atmosphere was great, the staff were very welcoming, and friendly. Kelsey (the manager), and Christian (our very nice bartender) showed attentiveness to all the guests Thanks everyone. The Happy Hour menu was pretty decent..we played connect four, bowled a few balls... and a number of other games as well (can't remember the names of them) lol. We'll definitely return, there's a lotta of FREE parking areas wether street parking or inside a parking lot ABC but I highly recommend arriving pretty early. I booked a reservation at Punchbowl Social for my daughter's birthday, and what should have been a fun celebration turned into an awful experience. At no point during the reservation process was I told that the entire venue becomes 21+ after 10 PM. That is critical information that should be communicated clearly upfront. We were seated 15 minutes late, and only after we sat down did a staff member mention the policy. She said she would try to get us a grace period since the delay was on their end, so we expected some level of understanding. Instead, right at 10:00 PM, a security guard named Brandon came to our table and addressed us with an unnecessarily rude, aggressive, and disrespectful attitude. He bluntly asked if the kids were with us and told us they had to leave immediately. No courtesy. No explanation. No acknowledgment that we were seated late because of their mishandling. His behavior was completely out of line and absolutely ruined the evening. This was supposed to be a birthday celebration, and Punchbowl Social made it anything but enjoyable. The lack of communication, poor management, and unprofessional, hostile approach from their security staff was unacceptable. We will NEVER be back, and I would not recommend this place to anyone planning a family gathering. read more

Okay okay, probably one of my favorite bars that we checked out while visiting the downtown Dallas area. We ended up staying at this bar for quite some time. My sister in law was actually the one who told us to come here, as she had come the week prior and really liked it. So we decided to check it out. First of all, the vibe in here is so great. We actually entered through a back area that I think is more of a sit down restaurant, but they had a host sitting there and he greeted us immediately. He told us that we could just walk through and reach the bar area, so we did. Once we got to the other side, realized just how cool this place is. They have games, including a mini bowling alley, pool, darts and more. Just such a cool vibe. We did put our name down on the list for bowling, but I guess there was a huge party right in front of us, so it was a bit of a wait. By the time it was our time to bowl, we had already called our uber. Next time though! We did get to take photos in the photo booth. Loved that they had that. So fun! We decided to grab a seat at the bar, which is always my favorite place to sit at outside of Vegas because there's no casino game staring back in your face. The bartender was great and got us our cocktails quickly. I can't remember what I had exactly, but I did like it. The best part of this place? The people watching and music. They had old school music videos playing and my husband and I were having such a great time listening and reminiscing on songs we haven't heard in years. At one point, there was even a police officer I think working the front and checking IDs? That was kinda funny to watch. Went here for dinner on a Sunday, the waiter said they were short on staff and if we'd be okay with ordering at the bar, we went to order at the bar and they ended up assigning a waiter to us anyway. My sisters and I went to Punch Bowl social for our frequent outing and we will DEFINITELY be back! The food was good the drinks were great and the service was perfect for the atmosphere. Our waitress was Naan, she was extremely attentive, friendly and made sure to check in on often. She kept the food and drinks coming and was really accommodating to our party even tho we showed up at different times. I loved the way she monitored and came to the table each time one of us showed up to see if we needed anything. There were several things to go here but we only ate, bowled and did karaoke. The mechanical bull wasn't being operated that night so we couldn't ride but it was all good. Thomas was the attendant that assisted us with bowling and Karaoke. He was super nice and made our night even more memorable. He was very down to earth, showed us how to setup bowling and the karaoke, he even let us know when it was time for his shift to end so we wouldn't be wondering where our help would come from. There was another guy helping us after Thomas left but I didn't catch his name, he was great! From the outside, the building doesn't look too big, but once you enter, you realize that the space is massive, with multiple floors and even outdoor patio seating upstairs. There is a main bar situated in the center of the lower floor space with many beers on tap. Pricing is fair, but you definitely pay for the convenience of being at a location that has many activity options. The bouncer at the door was extremely rude to me about my ID, which IS VALID and has never caused problems anywhere else. We then sat at the bar and ordered an appetizer and the steak frites, which they came back and said they were out of for the night-- which is totally fine, except that they still tried to put it on our bill at the end of the night. We decided on something else to order. My food came a full 30 minutes after hers did even though we ordered at the same time, and then I was charged TWICE for my entree on the bill. When we were both finished eating and had stacked our plates, I tried to catch any of the 3-4 bartenders' eyes to go ahead and close out... about 40 minutes passed before we were even *acknowledged* by any of them. I wasn't going to write a review because I thought, you know, maybe it was late and they had a rough day or something. I've worked in food service, I get it. But this morning I woke up to a bank notification that my account had been overdrawn. PBS charged my card a SECOND time for a different amount (the first was $70.85 and the second was $71.61). I have disputed it with my bank directly because of the reviews I've read from even up to this past month about the horrible experiences with calling to resolve this same or similar issue. Our waiter was nice and took our orders immediately. That was great! Now on three separate occasions and different days of the week they are always out of the featured punch and the watermelon punch. It will either get one or both! I do not understand how you can be PUNCH Bowl social, have three on the menu, and only have one. I don't understand why this happens every time I'm there. I ended up getting a rum and coke and then their night in Jalisco drink. I will say you are better ordering off menu because the drinks they have on the menu never taste good and don't have a consistent flavor. We ordered some food next and the waiter didn't bring silverware or napkins and we had to wait 15 minutes just to eat or wipe our hands. This wasn't a fact of it being busty, because we can see all the waiters sitting in a corner laughing and talking, he just kept forgetting to come back. Saturday afternoon brunch hours we stopped in on a whim. It was kind of hard to identify who the patrons were versus the employees. One thing we noticed right away was the lack of trays. Everything was carried by hand but you would see a tray every now and then. Not too pleased that someone carried my drink in hand touching close to the rim. Request a straw! The food was good for what I ordered. I did notice that when we asked for condiments that were taken from the neighboring table where the people were leaving. On par with every other one star review, we were greeted with nothing but rude employees from the moment we stepped foot in the door. We walked in and asked to bowl, they said it was by the hour but they closed in 55 minutes, to which I replied we don't mind paying for the hour. Was told we could only do 30 minutes-- which we accepted and we were sent to the bowling check in to pay and get shoes etc. No real issue there. After checking in and getting to the lanes, we started bowling around 11:15. At 11:30 our lane shuts off and said see front desk. I walk over to the bowling desk where I was met with an immediate attitude letting me know we only paid for 30 minutes. I replied that I was aware of that however we didn't start bowling until 11:15, she herself stated our check in was at 11:07 which I replied correct, therefore our 30 minutes has been cut short. She POINTED to the time on the screen showing 11:07-11:30 saying we got our 30 minutes... I told her not to worry about it and walked off. Our group moved to the Photo Booth off to the side for the remainder of the night taking photos as we were celebrating ours friend's birthday. Close to close we were told to leave and we told them we had one more round of drinks we were waiting on and that we also needed to pay our tab. They informed us we wouldn't be getting our drinks bc it was too late. This was a random person not our server who then proceeded to mock us as she walked down the hallway to another employee which we heard ourselves and she denied saying anything later. We were met with security to tell us to leave when we were still waiting to close our bar tab and there were also about 30 people still in the building besides us. The waiter came, we paid our tab and started walking out when the manager asked one of us what had happened. While myself and another girl waited on our friend to finish talking to the manager security put hands on both of us including pulling my friends boob out of her shirt in the process of pushing her towards the door. Again, still a crowd of people inside and the manager had approached US to speak about what had transpired. The only honorable mention was our server who was nice and brought drinks in a timely manner, everyone else was rude from the moment we walked in the door. To say the least we will never return here and I will advise anyone I know of anyone reading this to steer clear of this place. They are disorganized and you can tell no one there cares about customer service nor do they get reprimanded for it as there are tons of reviews stating the same rude, bad attitude, lack of communication service. As others have said in reviews below - the service and general employee attitude here is just not good. I'm usually 100% "team restaurant & bar staff" - but hard as I tried to get a basic level of assist or caring - it was not happening for me on this visit. I visited Punch Bowl Dallas / Deep Ellum twice to set-up a small gathering of health-care workers because I needed a somewhat quiet and separate space in the restaurant for a meeting to include viewing a webcast - admittedly finding an appropriate venue for this in the Deep Ellum area was difficult. No problem - staff helped me locate a larger circular booth off the main bar area and suggested it would not be an issue for my meeting - even though this space is typically closed during the week. The night of my event - the manager on duty suggested there was no way I had arranged for this space and told me I would be 'on my own' for food and drink service. A simple request to the 'events manager' for an extension cord was met with a "we'll take a look at it" and then never to be seen again. Luckily a friend nearby was able to save the day by bringing a cord for my laptop / projector and my event with several very-deserving health-care workers from the local hospital were able to have an enjoyable evening ---- albeit with me as their server :( Remember when in doubt - read the cautionary Yelp reviews! read more

Best of all; the games are separated into small areas throughout - each spot suitable for small to medium size groups. This turns a bigspace into a lot of smaller more intimate areas. But don't be misled by my use of the word 'intimate.' PBS is very brightly illuminated; not a spot for romantic liasons.
