Truck Yard is one of my favorite laidback spots in Lower Greenville. The atmosphere is always fun -- live music, cute dogs running around, great people watching, and just an overall relaxed vibe that makes it easy to spend hours there. Right now my go-to drinks are the Purple Drank and the Mangonada, while my boyfriend usually grabs one of their IPAs. The drinks are consistently good and fit the casual outdoor setting perfectly. The food is also underrated. Their cheesesteaks are excellent, and honestly everything I've had from the food trucks has been really good. This was actually the first place I ever tried spicy dill pickle chips, and now I'm hooked. One thing I especially appreciate is the QR code ordering system. It's super fast and efficient, which helps keep the experience relaxed instead of spending forever waiting in lines or trying to flag someone down. Amazing place to hang out with Met up with some work friends there and we just had the best time Staff and bartenders were great and our food came by using the QR code ordering system serve right to our table. This place was so hunky tonk cool. We really enjoyed having drinks in this courtyard surrounded by old trucks and even converted into food trucks. We got the word from some hipcollege kids that we had to come here. Very happy that we did. At Keats for a few drinks just to see all the old things. Very comfy and fun. Drinks served in plastic glasses only. The old weave type lawn chairs were everywhere. Old soda machines, bullet holes, old bikes , treehouse. We had a little bit of everything here. 3.5/5 I enjoyed Truck Yard on my first visit recently, the atmosphere is very cozy and it's a great indoor/outdoor bar where you can sit next to a fire and bring any pets and have a drink. The only thing I wish they had more options for was food, there are about 1-3 food trucks available outside in the patio section but the selection is pretty limited. Overall it's a nice local spot that gives off very Texan vibes with live music and friendly people. read more

Just here to review the burger and the Philly. We lucked up and got a parking spot right at the door. Behind the bar, there is another section where you stand in line (cafe style) and order your food. The burger was small, but decent. Not as good as I thought it would be, but decent. 3.5/5 rating. On our burger tour, this was #3 on the list of 4 (Gusto's, Slider and Blues, here, and Sweet sugar high ) The Philly was a no for me. I like that they still have non alcoholic drinks for gardeners and alcoholic beverages. Variety! Truck Yard is located on Grove Ln off Destination Dr in The Colony area. Yup, everything is bigger in Texas and this place is no different! Truck Yard is like a huge beer garden with tons of open space and seating all over the place, and I dunno, there's probably like 4 or 5 different sections to buy beer. There's also food trucks on site with a decent selection of food choices. And, for whatever reason, and I loved it, they have a toilet seat art museum on-site as well; Barney Smith's Toilet Seat Art Museum. There's no charge to check it out, so... check it out. They've got an outside stage for live performances too. When the weather's nice, grab a drink, some food, and sit back and just relax. read more

Came to take advantage of happy hour on a Wednesday afternoon. Vibe is really great and I'm sure it's fun when there's live music. I got the tropical aperol and the nachos. The nachos were great and a huge portion. My aperol felt a little watery, I was hoping for a stronger drink to make happy hour feel like a good deal. But still a cheap happy hour lunch overall. Firstly, it's super cool to see all the food trucks with different variety definitely want to go back and give other trucks a go. Went to where you order the burger and the cook took my order. This pains me to give this place a 3 star review because it was one of my favorite dive places. But since I came last time they instituted ordering and paying by app. No server will take your order. The app is terrible, ultimately I've heard others complain that they couldn't combine tabs. My friend ordered from the app while I got up and ordered at the bar. And went to get in line for a Philly cheesesteak. I got both mine immediately while he waited a long time, therefore we didn't even eat together. This will stop me from going back. I loved this place! The idea of a semi-permanent truck yard with fixed establishments and food trucks is a great idea. Even in November, we could enjoy the outside area for live music and an assortment of food options. You can also take advantange of indoor seating areas and maybe even make your way over to the Tiki Bar hidden in the back. This was where my friend and I spent a good hour. We enjoyed simple (sweet) drinks in a casual tiki setting. I only wish we had known beforehand that to use the karaoke rooms you have to reserve in advance. I'll be prepared for next time! 5 out of 5 for vibes and ambiance. Truck yard is a dallas staple. First time here since they re modeled the space. Seems bigger and more spaced out seating. They still have that treehouse thing. They have their own kitchen now with Philly cheesesteaks. I've had the version in The Colony and I recall it being reasonably priced and it comes with chips. The standard food trucks are there. They have their own parking lot too. It may be hard to get spots if it's busy weekend. On a early weekend (5pm), didn't have any issues with parking. Their pre mixed cocktails seemed more pricey than what I would've expected. But maybe they see it like a regular cocktail. Sazerac $12 and margarita $9. Water is pretty accessible at their fountain. Come here to catch up with friends, go on a date, whatever. read more
