My go to Brewery but this year they now have space to reserve for work holiday parties so I'm trying that out. I was complaining how hard it is to find private party space in Philly and then they told me they rent out a room at their American street location. So far the process is really good, my coworkers are excited.

Stopped in on a Friday night in February for some end of the week beers. There was a Girl Scout cooking pairing! The vibe is fun and relaxed. - Trefoils paired with Tour De Buggy French Saison - Lemonades paired with Beetle Juice Hazy IPA - Toast-ays paired with American Street Cream Ale - Thin Mints paired with Vroom! Roasted Coffee Stout

Went for a quick bite and a good beer, ended up with a whole outdoor performance! So much fun and great vibes always. I especially love the cornhole games set up, when the weather is nice this is a great place to come with friends. Excellent service & incredible food from Happy Bites as well!

Awesome little bar with plenty of beers on tap and solid food options. I will emphasis it is little - there are only a handful of seats inside. Luckily, they have a nice bit of outdoor seating, which is clutch when the weather agrees. Regarding drinks, I am a cider/sour type guy and love how they usually have at least one of each on tap. They don't kill you on prices either. If you aren't sure what you might want, the staff will help and small samples are available as well. Food wise, I have not yet eaten here. However, I've seen enough to realize I probably sure. The stuff looks amazing. Also worth noting they can do their menu with jackfruit instead of meats if you'd like to go that way. Either way, quality is certainly a focus.

A small but mighty brewery with food by Happy Bites! Beers are great but a little limited, but the food is great! They are sliders (but really in bun size only!) everything is reasonably priced and comes out quick and with a smile. Will be back.

It's a shame when I lived over this way I never stopped it. It's a super cool spot with a cafe next door. So they hosted a little outdoor market last night with a bunch of local art, food, and live music. Things like this is why I love nice weather. It's always great to have "free" events. I put that in quotes because I always end up spending money! That's my fault though. What stands out most here is their pickles. You're all like what?!? Ok when you check out look to your left. Their is a little fridge full of jars of pickles. We go the habanero ones and they are some of the most delicious pickles I've ever had. Now they are very spicy so I can't down more than one without some dairy but if you wrap one of these suckers in a creamy slice of American cheese!!! Maybe Boarshead..... Oh my wife and friend had their beer and really enjoyed it. He got the milkshake flavor and was like WOW. As a washed up designer I love their logo. Whatever that's worth to ya.

Small little brewery in an ok part of town. The beer tender was friendly and searched for stickers for me and brought them over. They had someone there making pasta dishes, Pasta Boy, I think his name was. Didn't try the food but looked pretty decent. We had a beer and moved on to the next place. I would check it our again if in the area.

Yeah absolutely love this spot. Our bartender was amazing, super cute and funny. We must have had 5 beers a piece while shooting the shit with Olivia. Food was great too. Now it's not sold by PBBC but there is a small spot behind the bar that made some dope sliders that I was drooling over. This spot is down the block from my school. I may have to frequent it more often.

Hole in the wall spot in Fishtown. Stopped for quick beers. My husband got the peanut butter brown ale on nitro (Downtown PB) and I got the puffy milk stout with Cocoa Puffs. Mine was very smooth and I preferred it. Liked the low key vibes and outdoor seating.

This was our 4th Brewery that we came too and I wasn't too big of a fan of the beer that we ordered. My mom ordered a glass of the Stone & Key Pinot Grigio. Street parking available nearby. It was a cute decor and I enjoyed the ambiance. I would have liked to try the hot dogs or the grilled cheese as both sounded good. We ordered the Coffee Porter Nitro ES Cafe Coffee Blend. He opened the wine [did not cut the seal and just opened through the seal] bit it was not cold at all even though 2 ice cubes were added. It was not very enjoyable. The Porter had a strong coffee aftertaste but was quite heavy. I didn't enjoy it too much as it was a little on the bitter side, similar to a dark roast coffee. I did try a little bit of the Strawberry cider which I liked and it had a good sweetness.

My fiancé and I went to Punch Buggy one afternoon and we did not care for it at all. First, I would definitely consider it smaller than a microbrewery and we understand that it is a smaller facility but they barely had any of the options available, everything had ran out... and it was like 1 PM on a Saturday so we were a little disappointed in that. We would have loved to try the flavors that everyone mentioned like the Pumpkin Pie and French Toast Stout, they didn't seem to have any cool flavors other than some sour beer when we went. We loved the small outdoors atmosphere, which was set up more for like 2 people rather than larger groups and they had a couple of games on the side you could play. During our time here we had some weird customer service so we almost rushed finishing up our beers because of the guy helping us, and I didn't even get the chance to get his name because it was horrible. Overall, I would definitely like to see some different flavors and better customer service.

It's enormous with a lot of different seating options, including booths, couches, bar seats, and a nice outdoor stool area. The music was LIT, a most random choice of 2000s emo. It wasn't super crowded when we went so super easy to get service. It's combined with a bagel place and not sure how appealing that would be for like later in the day beers. The main drawback is the beer options itself: about 7 options and a wide gamut of things but nothing overall so so appealing.

We knew their beer selection from looking online, but they were happy to break it down and answer any questions. My coworker and I both enjoyed a Rangi New Zealand Pilsner (but we saw our other colleagues enjoying a variety of other drinks). It's located in a sort of office building that makes it a little tricky to find, but there is a nice outside patio where you can see the Schuykill River (we saw lightening too haha). We'll definitely be back and recommend folks to check this spot out as well!

The $10 martinis on Friday were an excellent deal and definitely one of the highlights of the evening. A well-priced martini always sets a promising tone, and these did exactly that. The bartenders were helpful and kept things moving impressively well, even with a group our size, which was much appreciated. The space itself is huge and very clean, with plenty of tables and seating, so it was easy for everyone to spread out, settle in, and enjoy themselves without feeling packed in. A major point in its favour is the setup for watching sports. They have a massive wall of TV screens, plus more TVs throughout the space, which made it very easy to keep up with multiple games at once. No awkward craning for a view, no fighting for the one good seat, just a very solid setup for a group outing. Overall, it was a fun experience and very much in line with the good times we have had at other City Tap locations in DC. A lively, well-run spot for drinks and groups, and one we would happily return to.

The first thing I did was head straight for my favorite, Cantillon from Belgium. This visit, I tried their Kriek LG, a fruited lambic made by adding sour cherries to a two-year-old aged lambic. All I can say is... WOW! Tart, complex, refreshing, and dangerously drinkable. If beer could win an Academy Award, this one would be giving an acceptance speech. Now, let's talk food. I ordered the Thai Curry Mussels, and they were absolutely outstanding. The broth was packed with flavor, and the mussels were cooked perfectly. They easily rank in the top five mussel dishes I've ever had, and I've done my research! Pro tip: Don't make the rookie mistake of eating all the bread first. Save some for the end so you can soak up every last drop of that incredible curry broth at the bottom of the bowl. Trust me, you'll thank me later. The service is always excellent. John usually takes care of us in the back, and he consistently makes the experience even better with great recommendations and friendly service. In side is cozy and friendly! If you live in Philly and haven't been here yet, what are you waiting for? Great beer, amazing food, and outstanding service--this place checks every box. Just be warned: one visit and you'll be planning your next trip back before you even leave.

And it was walking distance from my hotel. Indeed their beer selection was impressive and carried Belgian Tripels, ales and IPAs and the elusive Pliney the Elder on tap at $8.50 a pint. I also learned their food menu boasts some well known choices. However, on this lunch visit the grill was out of service; no burgers, steaks, etc. I pivoted to their popular steamed mussels. A sizable pot of plump mussels in their black shells swimming in their liquor and considerable diced garlic and chopped fresh parsley. Delicious. The meal was accompanied by pommes frites and small slices of baguette for sopping. A chilled pint of Elder finished the monk's testament to excellence. Take a break from the cheesesteak and commit to the Monk. Well worth it.
