Attic Brewing is dog friendly but they have Bad Nina's food truck so not no outside food. I got a cheesesteak from Nina's. Why she is resisting my genius is a story for another day. My pals were itching to try Bad Nina's hot dogs, located in a food truck right outside of Attic Brewing. We popped in on Thursday night to give it a go. The staff both inside the brewery and in the food truck were friendly and helpful. There was a private event taking place in one of the sections of the brewery but you couldn't tell unless you walked towards the entrance. It didn't disrupt the flow of anything. The brewery is super spacious. What really caught my attention was that Bad Nina's offers vegan hot dogs. They're not that easy to come by, but it was nice to know that I could get any style hot dog. I got the Chicago Dog and it did not disappoint! All the ingredients were fresh, the bun was soft and I couldn't even tell it was a vegan hot dog. I loved the pickle on it, too. The fries were crispy and hot. I devoured the food and babysat my beer. Looking forward to coming back to try additional varieties of hot dogs! read more

I've drove past here several times and always wondered how the vibe was. Well today I celebrated a dear friend's engagement party here at Attic and it did not disappoint me. Kudos to the chef of the food truck and Emily the mixologist can make one of the best Espresso Martini's and the gentleman that was working beside her. I love this little spot! First off, there's a parking lot, which is an impressive feat in this city. Does the parking lot fill up fast? Yes, but it's okay, and it's the sheer principle of the fact that they even have one. Their beer garden is very nice and spacious, and they've got tons of games and toys for kids and adults alike. You can let your kids roam free here without too much worry of them bothering other patrons, since the space is so huge. All the beers I tried from them were solid, my favorite being their cream ale called the Philiado. My second favorite was their hazy pale ale called Bad Nina, which was super drinkable and smooth. Attic is my new favorite Philly brewery! For starters, their beer menu was AWESOME! Attic offers a variety of different brews, and there's something for everyone. We tried almost every one on the menu, and there wasn't a single one that wasn't fantastic. I was a big fan of the sage gose: earthy, not too sour, incredibly thirst quenching. I also loved the Bloodhound Brown Ale (GABF Silver Medal winner!) While there were not cats wandering around, most of their beers are cat themed including Cat Boss IPA and Electric Whiskers. They have great merch, including posters, shirts, and hats -- all catering to my cat-loving heart. They have a plethora of indoor seating including tables, comfy couches and chairs, and barstools. Cat friendly? I'm a fan. There was a food truck and a cool BBQ place next door....but otherwise it's BYOF. Attic also has PARKING! All in all, I loved Attic. The rustic philly-chic homey-ness of the bar, the friendly staff, the cat-themed beers, and the menu offerings. I can't wait to come back! read more

Stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon as it's a big tradition and dog friendly. Unbeknownst to us there was a dog event going on outside and well, with treat booths, toys, and more. Beers here range from $6-8.50, and they do flights as well. Started off with the "Direct Register" IPA ($8) - a hoppy, citrus ale with a full flavored finish. Next, decided to try for a Flight ($8 four mini pours). The "Breath of Change" and "Tiger Smile" were a couple other decent IPAs. For food, there are some snacks behind the bar, or go to the awesome food truck they have outside. Really like the decor here, with all sorts of seating for everyone. Board games near the restrooms, merch to the left, and a spacious beer garden. Well worth the trip if you can drive over from the city. read more

We hosted our daughter's first birthday at Attic. They were so easy to work with. Answered my many questions leading up to the party. Provided tables and table cloths as needed. The environment was perfect, we were lucky they had live music the same hours our party happened to be. Our family and friends loved the drink offerings and space. We are so glad we hosted her party here! Thank you to all the staff that helped to plan, set up and clean up the party. They have outdoor "beer garden" seating, but I didn't check that out, but it's yet another positive. Finally got a chance to try here as there is a large amount of outdoor seating in the parking lot right now. I will say the home brew selection is stellar especially since I am fan of the hazy brews. They had close to a dozen beers on tap segmented into 4 different categories. One of the categories was hazy where they had about 4 different IPAs. I didn't get to try them all so I'll definitely be back. The one I had was really good. To start I got a Belgian blonde which you don't see much at all. When I see blonde as a beer on the menu it's usually a generic, flavorless, yellow lager; but the Belgian variety of blonde is rare to see and was done right, fruity, sweet, floral with maybe a hint of spice. You know leffe style. The triple was good as well. My only two issues were there was a line building up towards the end and also I wasn't a huge fan of tax not being built into the beer price. Usually six bucks for a draft means six buck not six dollars and forty eight sense. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon with my dog. After confirming that she was allowed in (and welcome!) we settled in for a couple pints. We made quick use of the the outside area, and then came back to the main room. I had the Blaisdell IPA and also the brown, both of them tasty. One very large tV, which is surely in use for Eagles games, but I was surprised that it wasn't on for a college football Saturday. (We weren't staying long enough to make an issue of it.) The pretzels (for a buck) were a nice touch for a Philadelphia brewery. Definitely worth a return visit. read more

This is a fine establishment is a true gem. I enjoyed every minute of having frosty glass in a safe and clean environment. Not to mention the selection was 'bar-none' (see what i did there). They ticked all my choices: Ample parking, local selection, clean, slammin' bbq next door (sometimes they have food trucks), friendly staff, you can BYOF sometimes as well. The 'mullet of bars' to boot: Beer garden in the back, and a cool lounge area in the front. I would say this is an easy place to get to via Lyft or Uber if you were coming in with friends. This ranges from a casual to folky to lounge-y to cozy. Again date worthy, group friendly and -I can't stress this enough- clean! My favorite libation to consume was "you can't tame wild women" (my personal plea to the company -do not ever stop making this beer, please?) I can't see a down side to this place and yes for me it is rare to find a 5 star place like this. I'll see ya when I see there! read more

Absolutely love the beer and environment at Attic! They have a great selection of beers. When we visited in the early winter, the brown ale was my favorite. The inside space is large and they have a great viewing space for sports (I am not personally a soccer fan, but they draw a big crowd for soccer games). I absolutely love the back outdoor space. Comfortable Adirondack chairs, heaters in the winter, space for kids to play and great music. My favorite daughter and I came to enjoy some dinner from the establishment that connects to this one. We were first timers and thought it was the same restaurant. It's self serve so we ordered mango margaritas, from the happy bartender with a ring in her nose. We loved her and she really seemed to like her job, or at least people. And it was happy hour!!!She told us we could bring food from next door over. However, we could not bring drinks to the other side. (Speaking of the other side,not to sound sacrilegious, do they have happy hour there? I would surmise EVERY hour is happy hour. Just a random thought.) We saw a sign that said karaoke at 6 ( this after we ate our food)but it was after 6 and there were no signs of karaoke life. Oh well. So my daughter got us two more drinks and she was told there was a seating area in the backyard area, if we wanted an outdoor experience. Be the first East Coast person to drop a non-soft opening review* for a brand new brewpub? Don't mind if I do! Before opening I learned about Attic Brewing and their passion for the Germantown area during beer fests and events. So when I heard that they were opening up their own brewpub right by Wayne Junction train station a year or so ago, I made note to stop by and check it out during a happy hour. So when I finally got word of the opening I stopped in on MLK Jr Day and got to enjoy some awesome beer flights and their Metal Monday! The space was HUGE and the bartenders were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their brews. While I eased into a stool by their large vintage wooden bar space, I also really enjoyed their art wall and made note to keep tabs on what art openings they had on their events calendar. While they don't have a food menu of their own, they do share the space with Deke's Barbecue and have people walking around and taking orders for their delicious BBQ, so that review is coming at a later date TBD! The main thing to note about their happy hour (from 5-7 PM on weekdays) is that beer flights were $6, so I had a significant preview of the beers that that had to offer! my one caveat was that they had a few too many pale ales on tap, but they did have a good range for them since they had West Coast hazy ones and a hoppy double IPA among them. Stand out brews for me included the sweet but slightly hoppy Illiado Cream Ale, and the smooth but heavy Love Bird Oatmeal Stout. Toss in some occasional live music and events, and there's plenty of reason to check their calendar for special occasions. *Reasonable side note for the first reviewer from the West Coast: Unless your dog is a licensed service animal, or a place has a special permit that allows them to maintain a separate space for animals (like a kitty cafe), its a health code violation in Pennsylvania (among other states) for a place that serves food to allow non-service animals inside. So their not letting your dog inside was about more than a "personal choice", and you should be able to have some outdoor fun with your dog here on a warmer weather day. read more

Horrible treatment of customers! I came here on 8/30/24 at 7:15 PM with three other people (25,26,26 years old). The bartender asked for my ID. I gave them my ID and they started bending it and telling me it was fake. I am 25 years old. I provided another form of identification that I had with me that also confirmed my birthday. The individual then made a face at me and started laughing. I asked this individual to get their manager because this was in fact my real ID. As well, the manager came and started BENDING my ID despite it scanning and having the proper decals under their light they put it under. The manager then said she could deny me service, so we decided to leave and not make a fuss. However, this is ridiculous as a 25 year old! I have been to this establishment prior, and when this was explained, this individual continued to deny me service. Will never be back- much better breweries around that value their customers! read more

Very laid back, chill place to hang out with a group. There is a big backyard with chairs, so there is plenty of outdoor and indoor space. The children running around one Saturday was annoying, but the owners posted on IG about it, & encouraging folks to keep their kids in arms reach, which I appreciate. The staff are very friendly and helpful. On the Saturday I went, there was a homemade pizza tent outside that had delicious pizza. Theres also a bbq place next door. I don't think Attic serves food though, which is fine. I had a cider, next time I might do a little mixed well drink. read more
