We spent $35 for a bar of locally grown lavender infused soap and an 8 oz. tub of blood orange olive oil scrub. I couldn't resist, I just had to have these items. Well that and it was Lizzy's b day weekend so I was much more likely to hand over the cash than the other 364 days of the year. Our purchase also gave us a 10% discount card at the St. Helena Olive Oil Co., which is their sister store.

It was an extremely slow day so I was the only one in the shop and got an excellent personal shopping experience! It is expensive, so beware. It is also a very nice store with very nice staff. It's the type of place that doesn't sell what you need, it sells what you suddenly really want. I would guess it also appeals more to women than to men. But then again, that could describe most of St. Helena.... I managed to make it out without buying anything...and then was haunted by a necklace by Jeanine Payer for a week. The woman remembered me trying it on and happily put it on hold...even though I had completely left the county, not to mention the area. Two days later it was easy and delightful to pay for it by phone and have it shipped. It arrived in only two days, beautifully gift wrapped even though I'd purchased it for myself.
