They have so many exceptional pieces of clothing that I really want to drop a small fortune. But as I was on vacation, I limited myself to one exquisite dress. I walked in and as soon as I did, this delightful young woman helped me find everything I need. Remember the days when Hop girls used to really offer you service! Well, she was wonderful. I wish I had asked her her name. As for value, I can tell you this, you're gonna drop some change. But it's well worth it.

There are plenty of other clothing stores with better selections and a more welcoming vibe.

Disappointed that such an awesome curated offering had potentially closed up shop, it wasn't until a few weeks later when I was in Yountville and poking around after at tasting at the JCB Atelier and Tasting Room that I happened to find them not closed but relocated to a bigger and better space in Yountville with an expanded offering. Now full disclosure, I do think of Hunter//Gatherer as more of a women's store -- that's where most of their assortment is dedicated. That said, in the new space has really allowed them to expand their men's offerings to include an awesome set of curated goods. I find the new space to be super welcoming and a bit like exploring a museum of wonders where everything is for sale. I can't help but pick up something every time I wander in... which is not infrequently since it is right behind R+D Kitchen. I also have to say I really love the team -- in particular Colby. She's always apt to share an opinion and has equally steered me towards things that I wouldn't have expected and turned me away from others that I thought could be great but she pointed out why they just weren't "perfect" for me. She really knows her assortment and makes the extra effort to know you as a person to make sure she is making a recommendation that really makes sense. It's awesome to see people so knowledgeable about their stuff. Highly recommend.
