This is a picturesque spot on the water with yummy food options. They have hammocks, swings, and it can even take a dip while waiting on your food. They have no wifi here due to the nesting turtles and no electricity. But we've eaten here twice and the food is always good. The service is friendly and relatively fast considering the guy has to walk across the beach to get to the bar and kitchen. The beach itself has rough waves so not good for snorkeling, but great to cool off a bit. read more

Definitely a tourist trap, the menu is even priced in USD. But once you accept that, it's actually pretty nice. You can get food and a massage in the same place, the foods were pretty basic, but I genuinely enjoyed sipping a margarita while getting a massage on a swing chair. A solid 3.5/5. read more

We spent all day checking out beach places for lunch. We came across Punta Morena and were HIGHLY satisfied. Drinks: 2 cokes, a mojito and a strawberry daiquiri. Both drinks were mixed perfectly and that was the best flavored daiquiri I've ever had. Food: chips and salsa, chicken tacos and beef/shrimp fajitas. Everything tasted great and was well worth the price we paid which was $115 for everything. We stayed on the beach and it was an amazing experience. read more

My favorite stop on the drive around the island! This was our last stop before heading back to the hotel in Cozumel. This had all the fun things! First, they hav swings for seats at the bar! This was a blast. Second, the drinks were huge, well priced, and quite tasty! The piña colada was delicious and I'm not usually a fan but this was super coconutty and creamy. The Maitai was also yummy. We took up Dulce & Blanca for couples massages for 45 minutes. I was highly impressed with how good the massage was. Very strong hands. This was right on the beach and very relaxing with the ocean waves in the background. A little expensive, but well worth every penny. Definitely the best massage I've ever had in Mexico. I have already told my family that is coming in November to get over to this place asap! Super fun and relaxing. read more

Making a bit of a bar crawl on the East side of the island finally stopped in to check out Punta Mureno. We'll be back. Had their Gauc n Chips and an order of chicken quesadillas. Ample portions were enough for the three of us. Beer nice and cold. Friendly staff throughout. Quite a number of vendors stop by the table but are very nice about No Gracias and moving on. Several shops with decent prices. Clean restrooms. Bar looks fun with some swing chairs but we didn't do that activity. Great stop on the east side. read more

Arrived here on a island tour through a local taxi company from the cruise pier. The seller advised the driver/guide would be able to speak English and would stay with us. He didn't speak much English but used his phone to tell us a few things The Putnta Morena resort had its menu pricing in the local currency which should have been the first clue. We ordered chicken/shrimp nachos and three diet can cokes. The bill totaled $63.00 is dollars. I ask the taxi driver and he checked with the manager and he assured us that was the correct price. The restaurant at the beach club serves classic Mexican food in a superb location. We have been there several times and have never been disappointed with the food or the service. As a plus there is that fabulous view of the ocean to enjoy while eating. read more

I've been to Punta Morena a couple of times now through a bar hop I've done as a cruise excursion. The beaches and ambiance of this place are great. It's off the beaten path so its quiet but can get packed with tourists during excursion times. Drink wise I had the Mayan Sacrifice, which was a blend of juice and liquors. It wasn't too sweet and pretty refreshing for a beach day. We ended up sharing the chicken nachos between a few people and they were well portioned and some of the best nachos I've ever had. I'd go back again just for those. Overall a great stop on the east side of the island. read more

We stopped at Punta Morena on a bar hop tour. It was our first stop and around lunch time, so we decided to order food. The food was very good, but is incredibly over priced. We were very shocked when we received our bill and it was over $130 - for nachos, chicken tacos, beef tacos and 6 drinks (2 were non-alcoholic). It is a nice atmosphere, but if we go back we will not be ordering food - as the prices are ridiculous. read more

If you are in cozumel, and have a way to get to the more remote part of the island, this is a great place to go. The restaurant is on the beach and has postcard worthy views to enjoy while you eat mexican food and enjoy ice cold cervesa. We had beer, of course, guacamole, salsa, and an order of fajitas. Everything was great. The prices are a bit above average, but in line with the location and beach/island experience. The property is sprawling and after lunch you can take a siesta on one of the many hammocks, tan on the beach, take a swim in the ocean or in the pool. There are also many souvenier shops. We thoroughly enjoyed this establishment. Easy 5 stars in my book. read more

I rented a buggy and toured Cozumel. I found this place on the eastern shore. It was a great place to hang out at the beach, lie in a hammock, and toss a couple back. Plenty of shade if you need it, plenty of beach and sun if you don't . I had typical fajitas, pico de gallo, rice and beans, all of which were done exactly as you would expect from a nice restaurant. There was a mariachi band available to enhance the ambiance. All in All, well worth the stop. read more

If you have time to go off the main portion of Cozumel, this is a bit of a hidden gem. Although prices are a little higher than other places, you won't regret the experience! Clean beach and great atmosphere, its a great place for family with tons to do! Enjoy the pool or the beach or a relaxing beach hair or hammock! I traveled with a large group of 21 persons and stopped at Punta Morena Beach restaurant at the recommendation of a car rental rep...big mistake. The lack of guests should have been a tip off. Within minutes of arriving photographers with birds and lizards descended on us along with local merchant vendors. It seemed as they worked in unison to draw us away from our belongings so they can help themselves to our personal belongings. In all, we lost one phone but that was enough to shatter our expectation of service and ruin our experience. If you go here do not leave your belongings unattended. read more

I had no reception to check into this beautiful beach side restaurant. This place is gorgeous. Our taxi driver brought us here after zip-lining. The restaurant was just an oasis. It's completely secluded. There's nothing in either direction. The prices are definitely high for what you get. I do have to say that the guacamole was delicious and the shrimp and beef tacos were amazing. The shrimp tasted fresh. The black beans and rice were also pretty damn good. I have to say that the price was just fine because of the million dollar view. I felt Morgan Freeman was going to pop out of somewhere with Tim Robbins. read more

We found this place on the way from the mayan ruins going toward the eastern side of Cozumel and then south. We ordered the shrimp and also skirt steak baguettes. They were huge and very tasty. Included was beach access and service on the beach. They have restrooms where you can change. A bit rustic but ok and clean. There is a full bar. Beach chairs, tables and hammocks. The beach and water were beautiful! What a nice place. Service also really good. Definitely recommend! read more

It's for tourists... without a doubt. The prices are jacked up, the Mexican food is designed for American tastes, and everyone there wants your money. Keep your wallet/money somewhere close to your body. But the scenery is amazing. The location is unbeatable. And the drive is worth every disappoint the food, price, and service might bring you. Stick with chips, salsa, and cold beer. The salsa is at least truly Mexican, and it will pair well with an icy Pacifico beer. My wife, adult child, our two teenagers, sister in law and her young adult daughter visited this place during Thanksgiving break. Jesus was our waiter and he was great! Water is indeed beautiful. The facility a little rough around the edges. Food was very good. However stay on your toes regarding prices. They saw the group of 16 of us a mile away and saw $$. Constant orders of food and many drinks, throughout 3 hours on a few different tabs, with different servers, created a convenient way for confusing and absurdly high bills. Then as another reviewer wrote, credit card machine "was down." We weren't about to make a fuss so everyone just paid up. As if you'd have a choice?! read more

Convenient restaurant located at this beautiful beach. Service was excellent and the drinks were cold. It started raining so I ordered the Fish Tacos. The fish was fresh but with basic fried onions and green pepper very not interesting. It came with refried black beans with a white powder. Possibly cheese hard to say. Also a Mexican rice. Customer Service was great. There are a few vendors before you get into the bar/beach area but if you politely tell them no, they don't bother you. Amazing views and the outdoor bar on the beach has swings and tree trunks for seats. I thought that was very unique. They even have a pool on the beach where you can stay cool and tan. :) read more

The food was excellent. My family's favorite was the shrimp, octopus, and squid ceviche. The beef nachos and fish tacos were good, the salsa and the guacamole were good as well. For the drinks, we ordered the virgin Pina Colada. It was excellent. The waiter was very nice, and the prices were reasonable. Everything was good here. Next time I travel to Mexico, I will make sure to come here again. read more
