I really appreciated this because he cut Kolby exactly how we I wanted (we do not do the traditional cut on him). I was initially worried about my fur baby because he gets extremely anxious, but, I felt comfortable once we were able to discuss things. The appointment took the standard amount of time, so no complaints there. The checkout process was smooth as well. Overall, Kolby looked like a new furman! Bad customer service. I call to get an update at 12:30pm, they say one of my dogs is almost done... 1:58pm comes around and I get a message that ONE of my dogs is ready. I call to check the price, cause it's only cash. They say $220.83. My mom goes to pick them up but my mom was short .3 cents!!! 3 CENTS.. the lady still waited to get her 3 cents, but luckily my mom had a bill of $100. So my mom hands them $300. The change should be $1.17, and this lady only gives my mom $78 of change. Just like they didn't want to be short .3 cents instead they shorted us out $1.17 which is nothing but it just says a lot about how they handle business. So I drive up there to get the rest of the change. And at this point I'm over it. You already know it's a problem when they don't give receipts out. I go and they gave me $1 back, then I walk out and get in my car, and the MANAGER comes out and starts telling me I could've been nicer She continues to argue with me and I told her they need to start giving out receipts. I also pointed out her nasty attitude that she has Everytime dang time and that They are not welcoming at all. Then another girl that works there comes out and starts chiming in too. What a team effort when it comes to that but not when it comes to grooming, they took 7 hours on two dogs WHEN THEY HAD 3 girls onsite. They over load themselves with so many appointments in one day but they end up taking forever, and leave the dogs waiting their turn until they can get to them They lost my business, if you're looking to get your dogs groomed, this is not the place.

I called around and no one could do it this week until I called Bark Avenue. Jay was really nice and said he would work around my schedule. He was to arrive at 10a to start the salon services. He was running late but sent me a text to let me know and arrived at 10:30a. He and his mother (his partner was ill) took care of the 3 dogs and they were not nervous or skeptical. That says a lot because these 3 have been through so much and their confidence level is way below the radar. He cleaned everything up, vacuumed and left the place clean. I was able to use the Yelp deal so it only cost me $120 for the 3 dogs, and that included de-shedding for 2 of them (where others wanted to charge up to an additional $25). I would definitely have Jay back to take care of my dog and any other fosters I may have. Thanks, Jay and Mom!

He asked me to text him confirming the appointment time and my address, which I did. Unfortunately today I called them at 9am after never receiving a response to my text. They didn't answer, but called me back at 11 after me texting them asking them to please confirm my appointment since I work full time and would need to come home. He told me that he didn't have any record of my appointment, and even when I sent him the screen shot of me confirming the appointment he told me he never received it and that he was sorry. Long story short- they didn't even offer me another appointment or some way to apologize/rectify for the error (discounted groom? Come by on their day off?) and even though they were polite on the phone I wouldn't recommend such a disorganized professional service to any friends. I mentioned that their Yelp reviews seem to reflect lots of missed appointments and he said it was just the two of them so unfortunately that's why. I really think Bark Avenue should look into hiring an assistant for scheduling, or an online platform for booking appointments. You are losing a lot of dog-loving, paying customers by losing appointments and not offering any kind of consolation for the mistake on your end.

I strongly hate…read more these type of confrontations because at the end of the day no matter what you complain about people do not care about you and your pets the same way you do. Im not the disrespectful type or the one looking to cause problems so I don't understand this treatment to my dogs. The veterinary nurse consulted me before taking my dogs to the back for their haircut. I kindly instructed them to not use the trimmers around their genital area as in the past they have cut my other dog (4 TIMES). She exclaimed with a "oh no, I'm sorry about that I'll make sure that won't happen again". They proceed with the haircut and the following morning I wake up out of my sleep because I hear a weird, almost as if my dog was drinking water. I wake up and look at his genital area and he's severely cut. This is my youngest dog they cut this time. It's SAD to see your dog not being able to walk around because every few steps he stops to lick himself or scoots himself on the nearest rug. I attached a picture to show how things look one day after. I called them this morning and they said the same thing as usual. "Bring him in and we'll have the doctor look at him" everytime this has happened I end up having to paying for the antibiotics they give me. Paying for something to help my dogs isn't the issue but why do I have to pay when you guys caused the issue ? I know things won't get resolved but please be careful and watch your babies.
