With many recommendations, I took my dog for a groom on Saturday, May 9th to the Sherry Lane location with expectations of a quality groom. I requested a light scissor cut trim to clean up the ends of the hair. When I picked up my dog the cut was far more extreme than what was requested however, most disturbing she bleeding and injured with multiple cuts on her under belly and legs. I have sent 3 emails and called the salon requesting a manager to call me and explain to me why my dog was injured while in their care and have not received a response. This is the best groomer I have ever used for my dog. I have a 13 year old Shih Tzu and as you can imagine, he has had many haircuts. I have never been completely satisfied after a grooming until today! His face was perfectly trimmed & it only got better when I saw the rest of his body. I decided to be a little adventurous and had his ears & tail dyed blue. I was a little nervous about how it would turn out but the very kind owner reassured me that I would be completely happy with the results. She was absolutely correct! He looks amazing! Everyone there is so helpful & make you feel extremely comfortable in trusting your baby to them. The boutique is very clean with great toys, clothes & other accessories you can purchase. They shaved my beautiful Pomeranian down to his skin without asking or telling me even after I had a consultation and gave them pictures and written instructions. He looked like a terrified shaking sheared sheep. His fur has never grown back the same. I was and still am devastated. It was so bad the front desk girl said, "Oh no you don't have to pay for this." We have been taking our little dog, Lola, to Kibble Pet Grooming for the past six months. Alexis normally grooms Lola and she always does a fantastic job! We had an appointment booked with Alexis last Friday and received a call the night before saying that Alexis had a family emergency and our appointment had to be canceled. No problem. We booked an appointment for today instead with the other groomer at Kibble Pet Grooming. We dropped Lola off at noon today and came back to pick her up at three. We were told that we would need to wait a little longer for Lola. Again, no problem. A few minutes later, Lola comes out and Marissa let us know at this point in time that there was a tiny issue with our dog due to her matted hair and she proceeded to show us a bleeding scar on Lola's left leg. I told Marissa, this is a deep cut! To which Marissa said 'like I said, your dog was really matted. The groomer cut her hair and then when we took her out of the bath, she noticed it.' Why was I not called right away when this happened?! Lola could have had an infection with the open wound. We brought our dog here to get her hair cut, and we left with a bloody gash on her leg. My husband and I rushed her to the vet to take a look at it. We were told it was a deep cut and that we could choose to sedate Lola and have her wound stitched up or we could have a bandage put on the wound with antibiotic and a cone put on her neck so she won't lick the wound. We chose the latter. Our vet handed us the receipt and strongly urged us to go back to Kibble to get a refund for the vet bill ($86). My husband called Kibble and Marissa said that she would call her manager and get back to us regarding the situation. We drove to Kibble shortly after to see if we could come up with a solution. I talked to Marissa and showed her the receipt and demanded that we be refunded for what happened to Lola. Marissa kept insisting that our dog had matted hair..as if to say that it was our fault for her getting cut. Regardless of whether she was matted or not, no dog deserves to leave with a bloody deep wound! And pet owners deserve to be kept in the loop and receive a call at the very moment a wound occurs. We never even received an apology for what happened to Lola. It was shrugged off as though it was nothing. Marissa told us that her manager would reach out to us by the end of today. However, we NEVER received a call. What kind of general manager ignores the fact that a small dog was cut at his business and shows no sense of urgency in the matter. We paid $113 for a groom and walked out with an injured pup and an $86 bill from our vet. Our dog now needs to wear a cone on her head for the next week, and we have to put antibiotic on her wound four times a day. We deserve to be compensated for your wrongdoing. We never even received an apology. Is this what you call customer service? You were negligent with our dog and should be held liable. Our dogs injury was severe enough that we had to rush her to the vet. You should be held responsible for the suffering our dog went through and cover the cost of our vet bill. We have been loyal customers for six months and have never had a problem until now. We are frankly appalled at the lack of customer service and any sort of compassion towards our situation. Marissa insisted she had no authority to refund us and yet, she wouldn't give us the name or telephone number to the manager who would have the authority to do so. We have loved Kibble Pet Grooming and Lola has always been excited every time she sees Alexis, but today, we got a different groomer who hurt our baby and we are very upset at how our situation was handled. We hope our situation can be resolved. Update: Samantha, the owner of KP Grooming, just gave us a call this morning and apologized for our experience yesterday. She asked how Lola was and said that she would cover our vet bill and take care of our next groom at KP Grooming as well. Excellent customer service! I had an appointment, which was confirmed with me via email, text and a phone call. I arrived 10 minutes early and dropped off my dog for a basic groom and nail clipping (why doesn't a groom include nail clipping?) which would have set me back $90 for my 15 lb dog. They said it would be a 3-4 hour window. I went back 3 hours and 45 minutes later, and they. had. not. started. When i was dismayed, they groomer said she could do it really quickly. For $90 - a 15 minute groom? I think not. I spoke with the manager, whose only proposed solution was for me to bring my dog back at 8 am Monday, which is not really a solution at all. They repeatedly said they were busy - but I saw the ledger, and there were only 4 dogs that had appointments the whole day. They said they had last minute appointments come through that paid an 'express fee' and were given priority. Essentially, it's outrageously expensive and even agreeing to that price isn't enough to get your dog groomed, you have to pay extra for the express fee to be taken care of at all. read more

The people here are so kind and thoughtful, and they want their customers to be happy. I took my puppy there after a recommendation from a friend, and it was her first groom. I think I was more nervous than she was! She loved the store and the groomers. We went and I gave them a description and some pictures of what I thought I wanted. After she was done, she smelled great, but of course it was raining outside! Her blowout subsided a bit and when I took her home and realized I didn't love it, I called and they told me to come by and they would fix it right away. They trimmed her a few more times and came super early to almost open the store for me since I had to leave for a trip. I took my 5 month old yorkie to this groomer last week. The experience was good at the beginning, but when I picked her up she had a "small" nick according to the girl in the front desk, and she apparently hadn't cried at all. I check my puppy and she has this deep cut that looks like it was done with the scissors. I get that a puppy can move a lot during their first couple of grooms, but that's why you take them to a professional place to avoid getting the puppy hurt. I took my 5 month old goldendoodle this morning for the first time. They did a wonderful job. The owners were so friendly and my puppy was really happy when I picked him up. I wasn't quite sure how I wanted my puppy's hair to be cut, other than I knew I wanted it to be short. When I picked him up, his hair was short but I wanted it to be even shorter. They trimmed his hair again to my satisfaction. They didn't make a big deal of it or make an excuse. They just made it happen and they did it so happily!!! The groomer is awesome! She is so nice and she saved all of our preferences. Next time we go, all we have to do is ask for the same cut! This makes life so much easier. The boutique itself is really clean and they have a giant glass window so you can watch as they shower/trim your pup. It's by appointment only, so you don't have to worry about your pup being stuck there all day. They send text and email reminders which I loved!!! They also have a lot of great products with all ingredients listed on the back. They are all very knowledgeable. I asked a lot of questions and they happily answered all of them! When we got home, I inspected my puppy for scratches or bruises and found NOTHING. I watched as they bathed him and they were so patient and gentle. They even brushed his teeth. I was so impressed as to how thorough they brushed his teeth (I watched that part too!) All in all, we will definitely be going back. Unfortunately I have no choice but to write a not so pleasant review. I was hesitant given the current pandemic and hoped maybe it was just a hiccup, but my review spans over 4 days of visiting KPG so I feel as though to not waste anyone's time visiting I need to share my experience. My dog has been here numerous times in the past years for a grooming, I was very pleased with our visits at first, although it is a bit pricey, I thought it may be worth it. For our most recent experience the timeline of events occurred below, which leads me to think they are under new management/ownership or have all new staff with not a care in the world or anyone to oversee them. To make my appointment, I tried online but it was not working. I called the shop numerous times throughout one week hoping to catch someone, it just kept ringing and then the mailbox was not set up to leave a voicemail. I eventually emailed and that prompted someone to call me saying I emailed the wrong address? Not sure, just used the one on the website. They were able to book me a week out. Wednesday - Grooming apt @ 9am. I pull up to the shop to see the lights off, other patrons waiting outside or in their car, tried to open the door but it was locked and seemed as though no one was there. I sat in my car for about 15 min calling, and emailed the shop with no answer, so I had no choice but to leave as I could not sit there all day. Later, I received a text from the shop saying "sorry you missed your apt". I immediately called and let them know what happened this morning and the person on the phone said they could not find their keys so they were late. They told me I could come in on Thursday at 9am. Thursday - I show up @ 9am, go through what we need groomed and leave. About 4 hours later I get a call that my dog is ready. I go to get her, pick her up and pay. Once I got home and got a good look at my dog I started to question if she even got a haircut. When my husband came home I asked his thoughts, and he said the same. I called the shop to confirm and they said they had cut .5" off instead of my requested 1.5". They told me I could come in Friday. Friday - I show up about 11am as I was not given a time for my dogs hair to be fixed. The front desk says they have several matted dogs to groom and cannot get me in. I spoke with the manager and she told me to come BACK in on Monday. Expressing my frustration that they now wanted me to come in for a FOURTH time in a row, she seemed confused and unaware of what had gone on. It seemed as though it had been the first time hearing about the doors being opened late by her employee on Wednesday, and that the groomer did not give the proper cut on Thursday. She expressed no genuine concern or remorse and just said to come back on Monday. Monday - My husband had to drop off at the groomer @ 9am. He gets there, and they are late AGAIN. He waits for 15 minutes and the front desk show up and opens the shop with no excuse. He drops off our dog and leaves. I receive a call 1.5 hours later letting me know the groomer never showed up and I need to come get her. ARE YOU KIDDING?! I go up there, get my dog, request a refund for the haircut she did not get and wasting my time four days in a row. They processed a refund for the groom, but not the tip that I left behind, for the groomer, that did not do the right cut, or show up to work. Apparently the groomer did not show up due to being tested for Covid. Hopefully everything is fine and they are not sick. But just based off of past reviews, and my 4 day experience, I am lead to believe employees just don't show up to work on time or at all. Again, I gave this shop FOUR chances to redeem themselves, and it only seemed to get worse. Also considering they were late to open the doors twice, and the groomer was a no show, I assume other patrons are just as unhappy. KPG, please take a look inside your business and make sure you are keeping track of your employees and providing the best customer service and experience for both pet and owner, otherwise this may not be for you. read more

Kibbles website and reviews were quite nice! I drove from Turtle Creek in DALLAS to come to this boutique dog groomer. My first visit was remarkable! The owner was present and she told me that the package that I chose will always take between 1-1.5 hrs. I checked my 1 year old short hair dog in and went to lunch in the neighborhood. The owner called me within one hour, the cost is pricey but I made a second Appt for exactly 3 weeks later before I left. Yesterday was the next Appt. I received several text reminders of my Appt and I confirmed as instructed online. Showed up at 11 am on 11/4 at Appt time, there were two men working at the desk (in a all female staff bragging website) who stated that they couldn't find the Appt and "we are way to busy to do anyone else today" "we are even bathing dogs and we are not groomers!" This was alarming as the groomers are supposed to be trained. They stated they had no idea we had an Appt and asked us to return the following day (today) so two days now of taking the day for to accommodate their schedule I return with my dog at my Appt time. The brunette girl working stated that she didn't have any of the paperwork for me or my dog from last visit.... I explained the inconvenience from the previous day. She took my small dog back and before she walked back she told me it would be THREE TO FOUR HOURS! I then stated that my Appt is at NOON, she stated my dog "will not be difficult and it won't take that long but there are dogs before mine and there are a lot of dogs getting baths today" (I would assume that's the case! They are a GROOMER! I then asked why I had a noon Appt if my dog was going to sit in a kennel for three hours!? She said sorry we are busy - "like I said everyone is getting baths" This is a HORRIBLE AND INHUMANE THING TO DO TO A DOG! She was RUDE and pulled my dog as hard as she could back to the bathing area, where I noticed NO dogs were!! I HAVE NEVER WROTE A BUSINESS REVIEW, but this was an awful experience and there are soooo many great little groomers in DALLAS. Do not take your dog here. Who knows how they treat them if they kennel them for three hours, pretend appts weren't scheduled to get out of doing the job and especially IF THEY TREAT OWNERS LIKE THAT. I took my 16 year old border collie and 4 year old poodle mix for a bath and grooming to the Sherry Lane location in Dallas last week. Appt. was for 12 noon. Due to Kate's age they wanted 3 1/2 hours. After hearing nothing, I finally called at 5. Dogs had just been bathed, were "drying" and still needed grooming. Picked them up at 6 - paid $180+ including 20% tip. Dogs were still damp, Kate had not been brushed, nails were poorly clipped; Bentley's grooming was haphazardly done and his hair was brittle - no conditioner applied. I brushed Kate twice over the next two days filling a paper grocery bag with her hair. I guess they saw this old lady coming. read more

Some maturity and experience needs to be brought into the management of this company-I won't be returning without quality people who are paid appropriately. I interrupted and said excuse me....you and I were talking, you took the line list away as I was looking at it. I let her know I am not invisible and we were talking. Then she goes in the back with the other person and a groomer comes out and tries to see what she could do to assist and work me, in. Then The girl at the counter comes back,out and tells me i was irate and we can not help you today. Irate is not what I was ...I was to the point letting her know how I felt about how she treated a customer. Then we called the boss ,who was away for the holiday weekend. He and I talked and he we made an appointment for today. It is gorgeous!, it had been awhile since she had a good spa day. With the holidays, we thought we'd treat her:) The ease of making an appointment and the flexibility was something I was impressed with. The entire experience was a class act. The staff was friendly, professional and really made me feel comfortable leaving her there. It was about a 4hr appointment, which was great for us so we could finish our holiday shopping! I couldn't say nicer things about KP Groom. I have a 2 year old Golden Retriever and he gets very nervous when we go to the groomer/vet. Our groomer met the both of us when we got there and even got on the floor to meet my pup. She let him become familiar with her and I could've given her all my money right there and then. But the best part is when I picked him up, she came to greet me first and even discussed how the groom went and just seemed so passionate about what she does. After multiple chances, we will no longer be using KP Grooming. We bought a monthly unlimited bath membership for our puppy and what started out decent, quickly turned horrible. Last week, our dog was picked up smelling worse than we dropped her off. The staff was extremely rude and said she was just shampood and they had no advice. This week, I called today and spoke to Rowan. I asked if they had any grooming available, which they did not. Then I asked if they had a defurminator treatment I could upgrade to, and she did not know what that was. Then I asked if they had a de-shedding treatment and confirmed that we could add on the deshedding to her basic bath today and pay to upgrade. I also spoke to her nicely about our experience last week, in which she promised to make sure she was taken better care of this week, de-shedded, as well as a puppy spritz would be applied to make her smell better as well. I had somebody pick her up for me and had them confirm if the deshedding was done, which it was not. I called up to the store, spoke to Rowaan again, whoo completely denied having the conversation about the upgrade. I understand mistakes, but employees being dishonest to customers is completely unacceptable. We have asked to be refunded for our membership that we prepaid for 3 months due to horrible service and staff dishonesty. read more

Complete waste of $120. Also, a dog pooped on the floor and they picked it up but didn't wipe the door down. Just continued business as usual. There is zero consistency in pricing (like 40% increase) with NO upfront notice! There is no regular groomer. If you need to give your pup a bath, do not take them here. They bathe your dog and make your dog sit in a kennel wet for 4 hours so they can squeeze in as many dogs as possible in a day. I'm not leaving this review because I had a 1 time bad experience. I've been taking my dog here for months and the time frame was getting worse and worse and my dog was starting to be so sad and somber going and leaving. I asked, since they have to be here so long do you at least give them potty breaks or water breaks, they told me "no, not unless it's specifically asked for." This being my first time with the groomer, I wanted to see the how it would turn out. I asked for the face to be shaped in the teddy bear cut and we would leave the body to grow a thicker coat. When I saw my dog, I saw that they had the cut the hair around the mouth in the shape of a V. The hair around the eyes was not evenly cut, and there were some that were longer than the rest still in going into my dogs eyes. All that aside, the hair in between the pads was only trimmed not cut. When I called and asked if they could cut the hair in between the pads, the manager told me that I would be charged. I told her that I had already paid for it, and it was never done. She still insisted that I needed to paid to get it done. For a place that promotes a loyalty program, they should work on the customer service and that alone will retain customers. read more

Hands down the BEST dog groomers in Dallas (specifically Nora)!!! I have been taking our pomeranian here for months now and firmly believe that KP Grooming has the best customer service and quality of products in Dallas. We recently moved to North Dallas and thought I'd try a mobile groomer since the drive was much longer to their store and that was the worst mistake I could ever had made. The mobile groomer shaved my pomeranian down so short and I was so scared his fur coat would be permanently damaged forever. Nora has gone above and beyond to help us grow our pomeranians coats back out and keep it healthy. She has the best technique/hand scissoring I've found in Dallas and she truly cares about my pup as much as I do. Cannot recommend Nora and KP Grooming enough! read more

New groomer. Our Labrador had a close encounter of the wrong kind with a skunk while we were visiting relatives in McKinney. We called KP and they got us right in and saved the day, and our trip. The place is new, clean with super nice staff. They sell their own brand of organic shampoos and "fresheners" that smell great. Wish there was one near home. read more
