There's no other place where I would trust because they know each breed with attention to details and understanding the breed's behavior. The staff here were extremely unprofessional and clearly lack the skills expected from a grooming shop. They did not groom my dogs the way I requested at all. When I calmly asked what happened, instead of explaining politely, they immediately blamed my dogs' attitude and said there was nothing they could do. They even told me not to complain, claiming it was not their fault. I was simply trying to understand the situation, but they became very defensive and hostile toward me. With this level of grooming quality and customer service, charging $150 is honestly unbelievable. I will never return to this place again. read more

I decided to find a new groomer for my extremely grooming-anxious dog. She's a 14-pound poodle mix who is very scared during grooming and may try to bite. I'm always upfront about this. Our previous groomer did a decent job, but they're far away and appointments took the entire day. I found Wag and Swag, which is much closer and has good reviews. During our first visits, a groomer worked with my dog over three appointments to gradually trim her hair. I appreciated the effort, although the grooming was still incomplete (there were patches left around her eyes and front paws). She recommended returning within 3 weeks so my dog could get more comfortable with the process. I came back after 3 weeks, but this time we had a different groomer. I clearly explained my dog's behavior and specifically asked to focus on trimming around her eyes and front paws. I've never been overly critical about haircut quality, understanding my dog is difficult to groom. However, after a couple of hours, I was told that nothing could really be done because my dog moves too much. The groomer said she only clipped two nails and trimmed a small area near her back. She then suggested I go to a vet for grooming under sedation. This experience was very frustrating. My dog was stressed, I lost time, and I was charged full price for services that were not actually provided. I left feeling disappointed and honestly a bit scammed. read more

I read all the reviews but I'm guessing they are from friends and family of people who work or live right next door to it. Customer service was rude awkward and unwelcoming. They didn't offer any guidance on the cut style or how much to cut off, so since I didn't study it beforehand I was left in the dark. Then my dog comes out with almost no hair cut off and I realize they used the fact that I didn't know what to ask for to basically charge me full price for nothing. I still tipped well and figured it was my own fault. The second time the rude awkwardness was on full display and I made sure to study beforehand and ask for a shorter cut... the haircut my golden doodle received was the worst one I have ever seen. They don't take notes of prior cuts so every new person just guesses and cuts as fast as possible. Couldn't be more disappointed. But hey lucky them, they seemed to hate it when I walked through the door but don't worry it won't happen again. read more

The only reason Wag n' Swag is getting a three is because a friendly and sweet woman named Diane or Diana gave my dog an excellent cut. He looks fantastic. But the customer service is dismal as I can see reading other reviews where people had the same problems as I did. This was our first visit but no one had told me I needed to bring proof of rabies and bordatela vaccinations or come a bit early to fill out some forms that took some time. The woman at the counter did not apologize or even acknowledge she/they screwed up. She actually looked like at me like it was my fault and basically told me they wouldn't groom my dog . I was stunned. As I just stood there in amazement she finally said "maybe you can call your vet". I did and they texted the info. I don't know if I'll return. I'm weighing it. read more

Finding a good place for dog grooming is tough. You never really know how your dog is treated when you leave them. We'll look no further! This place is great. I could immediately tell the love for dogs Yanely had as soon as I met her. My dog HATES getting her nails trimmed. I knew it was going to be a problem. Yanely immediately went into problem solving mode. She said she would cut the nails first and to stay close, if she needed me as a reinforcement, she would call me. Luckily Chris was there for back up and boom. I got a mission successful text shortly after and from there on, no issues. Took my rescue bichon pup, and boy, do they know how to treat him right. Had been looking for someone to make him look like what he's supposed to look like, and WOW, they delivered. Met with our groomer, Ivonne, and talked about what we wanted for my pup. I know he was a bit dirty and messy, but she knew what to do. I also wanted to get his tail colored and made it blue. He's my Rare Blue-tail Bichon. Love this place, they gave him treats when I picked him up and also let me know about brushes and brushing sprays that they recommended to use. They were thorough on showing me how the process and importance of brushing him. He came back smelling soooo good. Love Wag n Swag! They are so friendly and take such good care of my lil dude. He hates going to the groomers but they make a stressful experience for him as easy as possible. He always comes back looking (and smelling and feeling) so good! You can tell everyone there just LOVES pups. I also have to mention what an exceptional job they do on his black nails. I bring my pups here mostly for nail grinds. It's a trek for me but I still come here because they do the nail cutting in the front of the store, in front of you. It puts me at peace and I think it's less scary for my dogs who are TERRIFIED of this procedure. Ember loves meeting people, but has always hated going to the groomers. At her last groomer she would be shaking when we dropped her off. We have been going to Wag n' Swag for a few months now. We get her fully groomed once a month and come in between grooming sessions for baths. Ember is a curly girl and requires a fair bit of maintenance. Not only is Wag n' Swag well priced but they do an amazing job. We have been going to Shelly here exclusively and she is amazing!!! She listens. She pays attention. She asks questions. I had the most shocking, unprofessional experience with their receptionist on the phone. To set context, I had brought my dog in for her appointment on the 9th and had to wait 15 minutes as the groomer we had booked was consulting with another dog who they were squeezing in due to a scheduling mishap. I should have known that was a red flag right then and there as the front desk was essentially blaming the owner and telling him that despite him calling and booking an appointment, he should have called to confirm if he didn't get a text reminder. I get a call a few hours later that there was a fire next door which caused them to evacuate and I had to pick my dog up early. When I got there the groomer was super nice and said that because she wasn't able to finish the grooming service I should come back Tuesday the 13 and that I could pay after she finished the service on the 13th. Come the 12th, I get a call from the groomers saying that I missed my appointment and that I forgot to pay for the services. I was trying to explain that I had actually scheduled on the 13th, the groomer said I could pay after, and maybe due to the craziness of the fire emergency things got mixed up and she got extremely triggered, cutting me off and raising her voice saying "oh so you're saying that it's OUR fault?!" and demanding I pay upfront for the services. I wasn't able to get in a single word and had to literally hang up to stop her from continuing to yell at me. I recognize that I should have paid closer attention to the text reminders to have realized the wrong date was scheduled (especially given I had witnessed first hand scheduling errors were common here) but I have never been verbally accosted by anyone that way, and definitely never from a business. Needless to say, I would never feel comfortable taking my dog here ever again given the pent up anger their staff clearly have and the unbelievably unprofessional nature of their business. read more

Love them here! Rene and the team at W&S always do an amazing job on Dexter who is not the easiest to groom (understatement). He always looks amazing when I pick him up, they listen to what I or my husband ask for and best of all, Dexter doesn't freak out when we go there, which he started doing at another place I took him to previously. When we first started going to W&S we had a different groomer, Roxy, who isn't there anymore, and she was great as well. I walk Dexter in a park nearby and a lot of other dogs in the neighborhood go there too. They always look great as well and I've never heard of a bad experience from anyone. TRULY THE BEST! I take my 2-year-old rescue mix to Wag-n-Swag every other week for a bath, teeth brushing and nail trim. She's been washed by many staff members and we've always been beyond pleased with her results. The entire team treats her so well and treats me just the same. They are patient, communicative and kind. Our girl has been going since she was 6 months old because I couldn't bathe her on my own -- she was terrified of water/bathing. Gremlin is an extreme handful, he is my ticking bomb! He can't be touched around his face, bottom and paws, shoot, it would be easier to tell you where you can touch him. He is very sensitive around his face and terrified of other dogs. He hates getting groomed and going to the vet, his name basically describes him. I've been coming to Wag n' Swag for awhile now and can't thank Rene enough for putting up with my little old man. He has the patience no other groomer has had with him and I know Grem is probably the hardest dog to groom, but he always manages to take care of him. He listens to what I would like done and he goes above and beyond everytime. I also love love love the cute little bow ties Grem comes out with after every groom. I found this wonderful place with my Mork! From the first time he went to get groomed he fell in love with Terry. That was his groomer but more than that he trusted her. It was hard for my Mork to trust anyone but he loved her!!! Unfortunately he passed on October of 2023...but he was able to say bye to his Terry and everyone from Wags...they all loved him and he loved all of them. Terry was still his favorite but he knew he was loved. A month before my Mork passed we foster Koda...who had never gotten groomed or gotten his nails taken care off. So I brought him here...and they worked with us. We explained that he was a rescue and nervous but they took a chance on our Koda. Needless to say I foster fail...Koda is now our family. Wags 'n' swag also adopted him as their own. They have the patience on working with our Koda and that's something that makes them family.
