Our family is extremely disappointed with our recent grooming experience and even more frustrated by the response we received afterward. To be fair, the groomer was pleasant and transparent in explaining that our Maltipoo had some matting. We understand that matting can affect the grooming process and have never had an issue discussing this with previous groomers. However, the final result was unacceptable. The haircut was choppy, uneven, and cut much shorter than requested. We provided a photo of the style we wanted and specifically discussed a teddy bear appearance. The groomer acknowledged our request, but our dog came out looking like nothing in the photo. More concerning, the grooming appears to have been done so closely in certain areas that his skin became irritated, and the area around his tail is now red, inflamed, and appears to be at risk of infection. He has been constantly trying to lick the affected area since coming home. What has upset us most is the lack of accountability from management. When we raised our concerns, Jose, the manager, was defensive rather than receptive. We understand that mistakes happen and would have appreciated a sincere acknowledgment of the issue and a willingness to address it. Instead, we were left feeling dismissed. We entrusted this business with our beloved family pet and expected professional care. Unfortunately, we received poor grooming results, a dog who is clearly uncomfortable, and customer service that failed to take responsibility for the situation. Based on this experience, we cannot recommend this grooming service. read more

They're pro groomers, they don't just shave your dog they use scissors which in most grooming places is not to common. My dogs hair looks so much better and healthier since going here. He is one of the 'pet whisperers' on service at Pampered Tails Westside. Before your furbaby ever gets underway, Ryan is gently speaking to them & carefully extending his friendly hand out, for your furbaby to feel safe & cared for. He is GREAT at communicating when the service is about 20 minutes out from finished, so you can arrive in time, and always follows any specific instruction on grooming preferences, personality info, etc. We have 4 dogs, and they ALL get their grooming on at Pampered Tails. I like how quick they are, but I think they gave my cats fleas. They are indoor cats and never go outside, so they never got fleas. But within a week of them going to Pampered Tails for a brushout and nail trimming, they are both scratching a lot more than they ever did before. read more

I LOVE this place! Only one I'll go to now. Cormick did an incredible job making my Parti Pom look like a respectable dog again. Lol They were very very patient as I ran late (unfortunately both dropping her AND picking her up) but never complained or were negative or rude at all. Only positive vibes and my dog looked INCREDIBLE! The best I've ever seen her and she was extremely happy which lets me know they treated her well. I made an appointment with a spacific groomer. I was given a different groomer and told that all their groomers were excellent. The problem is not that , I was concerned that my pet would be with a stranger not one who she was already comfortable with. When I arrived I asked if I may use the restroom and was told by the groomer that " the restrooms are not for the general public. I am not the general public . I am a costumer. In California it is illegal to to refuse the use of a restroom to a costumer, especially one who is handicapped. To my knowledge it is '$100 fine for refusal. I had to go the 7/11 where for the price of a cookie was given the key to the restroom. I was paying $ 217 dollars for the grooming. When I picked up my pet, the was not as well done as it had been by the groomer I had requested. I was also charged an additional $25 for matting. There was no matting. I had brushed and combed her. There are always some snages. She is a poodle it is to be expected. No one ever apologized for the groomer change. I will not trust this establishment in the future. read more

I usually see Kat or Will to groom my 8 lb Yorkie poo. My dog has a lot of anxiety with new places, but she settles right down in Kats arms. Kat always does a great trim, including my dogs nails and expressing my dogs glands (if you know, this can stink!). My dog always smells like vanilla when I get her back and has a cute bow. Will does my dogs bathing and talks so kindly to my pup. I can tell that both of them really love what they do and genuinely care about my dog. I'm never nervous about dropping her off with them and I won't go to anyone else. read more
