Avoid the grooming salon at Petco at all costs…read more This has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences I've ever had with any business. The staff is unbelievably rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in actually helping customers. What's worse is the manager is just as bad--equally rude, unwilling to listen, and clearly not interested in resolving anything. My dog, Fluffy, has been going to the same groomer for a long time with ZERO issues. No aggression, no biting, nothing--yet suddenly I start receiving vague, contradictory messages claiming "he can bite" and blaming "scheduling issues." If any of that were true, why was it never properly communicated before? It feels like they just made excuses instead of being honest. The communication itself is shockingly unprofessional. The tone of their messages is rude, passive-aggressive, and borderline hostile. Instead of treating customers with basic respect, they send abrupt texts telling you they're "not daycare" and demanding immediate pickup, as if you're inconveniencing them by being their customer. And instead of having a proper conversation like professionals, they abruptly drop you as a client with no real explanation. No accountability, no courtesy--just attitude. This place is disorganized, disrespectful, and clearly does not value its customers or their pets. I would never trust them again and strongly recommend finding literally ANY other groomer.

We had visited other stores in the area but were put off by the high prices and the shoddy food/clothing selections. Our puppy really had a hard time the first year with stomach issues, so it was important to find a brand of food our vet recommended. Surprisingly, Gone to the Dogs was exceptional in both food selection(s) and clothing - even the toys are better made than most places offer - and the owner, Gina, and her mother, Kay, were more than helpful in guiding us to finding just what we needed and if they didn't have an item in stock (or didn't carry it in-store) they'd offer to special order and call when it arrived at a reasonable price. I know I'm waxing poetic about GTD (I honestly love this place), but I'd be remiss in not mentioning that the one (and only) time we had an issue with a product Gina gladly offered a discount for another item. (Had to bring this up because of another customer's negative posting) I admit to buying items that didn't work out for our dogs but knew that returning wasn't an option and was okay with this...lesson learned and a bit poorer. HA I As our dog family grew to two, I have to say the last couple of years of visiting more than a few times a month has endeared Gina and Kay to our family and we would be lost without the shop! Sound advice is plentiful, as is a good sample treat with a head rub for our dogs every visit and the doggy bakery (birthday cakes, cookies, etc.) is like no other! Honestly, the bottom line is that there is no other place like this in the Wakefield area. The prices are reasonable, quality & selection of products amazing, customer service outstanding.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at PetSmart…read more I took my dog to a scheduled appointment at the Banfield Pet Hospital located inside the store. Since Banfield was open, I had to enter through PetSmart, which is the only way to access the clinic. When I was leaving after my appointment, I briefly stopped to look at a dog collar that caught my attention. Immediately, an employee approached me in a very rude and aggressive manner and told me to leave because the store was closed. I explained that I was only there because my dog had a scheduled Banfield appointment and that I was already on my way out. I also told him there was no reason to be so rude. Instead of calming down, he continued to treat me with disrespect and hostility all the way to the exit. I have never felt so unwelcome and mistreated as a customer. Because of this experience, I will never spend another dollar at PetSmart. I am also considering switching my dog's veterinary plan so that I never have to return to a location where customers are treated so poorly. It is unacceptable for employees to speak to people this way, especially those who are simply attending a scheduled veterinary appointment. PetSmart should do a much better job training employees on basic customer service and respect.

These documents were sufficient for 2 dog trainers, a puppy kindergarten class registration, but not good enough for MetroPets Groomers in Lexington. Give me a break! They said the documents were not sufficient. I even gave them my veternarian contact information, which they could call to get more information, but they are too busy to do that. Then, they sent me a contract to sign and they wanted me to agree to give them my credit card (just in case of cancellation) - which was fine, but at the end of the contract - it said, that you agree that it is okay for the groomers to take pictures of your dog and put them on their website or social media for advertisements. You need to agree and initial all of that before they accept you for an appointment. I did not sign that and agree to that. I do not want anyone to take pictures of my puppy and put them on the internet or social media for advertisement of their business. I told them that I do not agree to that. And guess what they did. They cancelled my appointment. They said I would not be happy there. I tried to call them to discuss with them, and the phone just goes to voicemail. What a terrible grooming business. They just want your money and are willing to take advantage of you and your dog. Do not go here. Not sure why they think they are sooooo great. Their customer service sucks!!!! Who would consent to giving our credit card and also agree for anyone to take pictures of their child, baby and put on website internet social media for their own business advantage. If you sign there contract, that stipulation is in there. Buyer Beware!!!
