I took my dog in at 11:00 and at 6:30 she was barley getting started. I took a very poorly 1/4 groomed dog home. This was about 1 month ago and I suppose I could just let it go but the more I look at my dog the more disgusted I get. I paid her and even tipped her. She looked like she had a bad day. I own a salon and I mentioned it to a customer and he said they take walk-ins and push the scheduled dogs back. Sounds like that could be what happened. Just FYI. read more

My Shih Tzu always comes out looking great, but you have to weigh in the balance that my dog is there all day and sometimes into the evening , even after dropping him off in the morning. It's been this way for years. So if you're willing to wait all day to retrieve your pup, they do a good job on the grooming. read more

I am very picky about where my boys go! Tried other groomers and this was the best!!!! I was a little concerned at first, BUT I came in the last hour and a half....and watched, and honestly....as stressful as it can be as a dog owner to have your babies away for so long....these girls and this business totally love on them...and make them so comfortable! Each dog gets its own attention and love, it's very thorough. They talk to your pet, and love on them. beautiful things take time. And it's stressful enough for our animals, it can't be rushed. But the groomers want them comfortable, that is priority. And it's beautiful! Good grooming, and love and care takes time. Nothing is rushed, nothing is pressured, it's so tender and perfect! My boys were so happy, and loved, when they got stressed I listened and heard the groomers talking to them and rubbing and loving them thru the process. It takes time to give a dog self care and love, and I love this business, we will totally be back. I appreciate the diligence each person took who touched my dogs. And spoke to them, and I'm grateful for each person because this is a craft. Thank you again, we are so thankful and clean, and happy! But I am especially happy knowing my boys go to a business and a place where they are being encouraged and loved and cared and loved on thru the entire process! I took my Yorkie over here today and after consultation we decided on a sheep cut---fur left on legs..and all over. When I retrieved my Yorkie she looked exactly like a Chihuahua!!! NO hair on her legs at all!! She was shaved all over. When I complained one of the girls said she had knots on her legs. An absolute lie as I comb her out every night, including her legs! It will take months for this to grow out and I will never go back! read more

Not a safe place for your dog, my dog left with injuries that took months to heal, he got ear mites after his visit and nobody said anything to me about how badly they injured my dog! My crate trained dog became suddenly fearful of the kennel and to this day will not go in one. They offered no apology or discussion on what had happened to him. I don't like these people they don't act like animal lovers. The photos of his injury to his head was so bad they wont even allow me to post it on reviews. Their waiver that they are not responsible for your dog while in their facility should be a huge red flag warning!! read more

I made an appointment with Pups and Suds on December 22, 2023 to have my puppy groomed. While I booked the appointment, I asked how much it was providing them with my puppy's weight and breed. I was quoted $75. I asked because I am on SS and cost is a factor especially when I always leave a tip. My puppy has had four previous grooms with no problems and those appointments took 1.5 to 2 hours long. As I dropped my puppy off here, I asked if it would take a couple of hours and was told yes. After my puppy was there for 3 hours, I became concerned. I called them and they said he was just put on the table to groom. I was concerned that they didn't even start with him so I went there. As I walked in at this time there was a cacophony of dogs barking and crying from the back. My puppy was not even on the table. I asked them and they said he was not cooperative. Then they groomed him. He was so distressed at this point, being there for hours. When paying I complained because he was there for over 6.5 hours. They blamed my puppy. They also up charged me $25. When I complained about that the owner stated that is what she quoted me. I agree with another poster who said this is the puppy mill of groomers and feel these folks are not honest. read more

Took my standard poodle puppy and even the Groomer hinted she didn't look good. I was charged $120 for a total haircut I didn't request. I specifically said I didn't want her shaved down to her skin because it's getting cold.. And that's exactly what they did. They totally butchered her! She looks horrible!! read more

I was very appreciative that they got my standard poodle in to be groomed on a whim. HOWEVER I dropped her off at 1:15pm because they stated they had an opening and was told they would be done around 5pm. I called at 5:15pm because I hadn't heard from them and they said they hadn't even started cutting her hair and she wouldn't be ready until 7:30pm. I informed them when I dropped her off that I lived an hour away, a little communication would of been appreciative. I could of drove home. I got there at 7:30pm and she still wasn't done until 8pm. Her groom was done well and no injuries. Which I was worried about based off of other reviews. They just need to communicate. Especially knowing I lived an hour away. LONG POST PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ: I would NEVER recommend going to this place. I was told when I dropped off my Goldendoodle at 9:15am he would be ready in 4 hours. When i called the shop at 3:30, the young girl whom answered the phone said he still hadn't been on the grooming table. I was upset because I knew my Doodle is traumatized by being kept in a cage. I finally received my call at 5:30 that he was ready to be picked up. No consideration for my time or my schedule for that matter. When I picked him up and saw him i was HORRIFIED! He was shaved down almost to the skin, which is not good for the Goldendoodle's because they are easily prone to sunburn. When discussed his cut, they assured me it would not be that short. The other thing that was very disturbing was his NAILS WERE NOT CUT. When asked why his nails were not cut, they gave me an excuse that he bled when cutting one nail. NO, NAILS WERE CUT. They lied to me and still took my payment without even considering reducing the price. When I left and paid $135.00, the owner had a very nasty grin on her face, like she enjoyed the fact that I was DEVASTATED, which to me shows complete unprofessionalism and no care for her clients nor the animals themselves. When walking out to my car, my Goldendoodle wiggled out of his collar and ran out into the parking lot! They couldn't even take 2 seconds to tighten his collar. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! read more

I've been bringing my dog Roxy here for a few months now and I really love the customer service. All of the workers are sweet and it is yore apparent that they love dogs. Most vets like to muzzle my dog for nail trims because she is very dramatic and muscular. Also her nails are highly sensitive because her quicks are long. The workers at Pups n Suds are ever so patient with Roxy even though she can look intimidating because she is a large black lab/pit mix. They are very knowledgeable and suggested I have her nails dremeled every month or so to help recede the quick. This has been helping my dogs nails and sensitivity tremendously. I've also brought her for baths here and they do such a great job. I would highly recommend this place! read more

The first experience here was good. Our pup came back and looked awesome, and they didn't take an exceptional amount of time. The 2nd experience was not so good, and I don't think we'll be taking our furbaby back here. After 5 hours I called to see how long it would be as she had been locked up there long enough. They said another hour or so, and that they had a "very matted," dog before her that took longer than expected. TBH I don't care what the reason, you need to call and let us know that, or preferably tell us upon drop off to come back an hour or so later. They could probably pick up on my frustration on the phone, and called 40 minutes later to let us know she was ready. When we got her home and started to examine the job they did we were pretty disappointed to say the least. You could tell they rushed through her as fast as they possibly could. Random patches of long hair where they totally just missed spots. Trimmed the hair from the pads on her front two feet, but didn't bother to do the hind feet. Shaved her belly so that there was no hair left, left the hair on her back completely long and untouched..... Had I not had a better experience the first trip I would give 1 star. Overall, i won't be coming back here after the charge we paid for the crappy cut we got. Wish I could refute the tip I left too. read more

Do not take your dog here! My dog literally walks with one paw up ever since I took her to this place. When you walk in it looks like a sweatshop of dog groomers,yet you will be waiting 6 + hours for your dog to be done. I don't recommend taking your cats here to get groomed. I'm not sure if they have experience with grooming cats, they say they do. I'm not to sure of that. Our cat is not aggressive whatsoever and they needed the owner to be there to help with the grooming?! we have taken all of our dogs here for years. they have always done a good job on all of them, even when they are matted, and they are responsive to specific requests about cutting preferences. however, the same theme in many of these reviews happens to us regularly re: all-day stays with no communication. most recently we took our dog in at 10 AM as requested. When we heard nothing by 5:15 PM, we called and were told that our dog was next. They finally called us at 7:30 PM to say he was ready to go. This kind of thing happens routinely, unfortunately. when we asked why there was such a long delay, the woman said that they do the best they can, and that things were the same at all groomers. i've been looking at the older reviews going back as far as 2017, and this has been a consistent complaint about the shop. I wish the owners would recognize that they have a problem and address it. again, we have always been very happy with the way the dogs look. read more

I wish I could give them a zero. Took my 2 miniature poodles there to get trimmed. When I picked them up, my black poodle was limping badly. Took her to the vet and discovered one of the groomers had torn her ligament in her right rear leg. The vet didn't want to operate because she's so old. When I spoke with the owner, I was polite until she said "we didn't hurt your damned dog." She then said that they had never hurt a pet since they had been open, which is statistically impossible. A few nights later at church, we were telling some friends about them, and they had had a dog blinded by one of their groomers when she stuck a pair of scissors in the dog's eye. Avoid these people like the plague, and don't leave your precious fur babies in their care. read more

I took my dog here yesterday. I got there a half an hour early for my appointment. They looked really busy but took my dog early. One of the staff told me it would be about 4 hours. I got there at 11:30am and they weren't finished with my dog until 5:30pm. The staff are really sweet and they did a great job on my dog. I took my sweet golden doodle here today. No idea what happened but she's yelping loudly every time I touch her mouth and very skiddish. She's very energetic but would never hurt a fly, but clearly something occurred while she was here all day. Also I showed them a photo of her prior cut and they cut her so short I am going to have to be very careful she doesn't get sunburnt. read more

I've been taking my dog to this groomer for quite some time. They always do a good job but tend to get behind. I took her in at 1130 am and she wasn't ready for pickup until 630 pm. The told me 430. I don't feel right leaving her in a cage that long. read more

First time I took my dog a Malti-poo n for grooming at Pups and Suds. I was told to take him in at 11:00 am. As I arrived it took a while to check him in since all the groomers were chatting with a client that was dressed to kill who checked in her lovely pure breed dog. (Beautiful). More clients were coming in with their dogs that were pure bread and beautiful as I was standing there for a while. The receptionist took them first which I thought was messed up. Wow my turn I guess according to them. The grooming lady came up and I told her what my dog needed (heavy set Hispanic) woman. She was not very friendly. I asked how long it would take and she said about four hours. I left. In time I got very concerned since I hadn't heard anything, so I called and asked about my dog. Whoever answered the telephone said that the groomer was almost finished with him. With that being said I drove to pick him up. When I got there, I did not see him anywhere thinking that he was probably in the back. A few minutes later the groomer came out with him sopping wet. They hadn't even started on him. He was shaking and when he saw me, he started crying. The groomer started working on him. I was livid. It really hurt me to hear my dog crying. Maybe half an hour later she told me that she had finished grooming. I got him into his sweater paid the bill TIPPED her and left. My dog had been there six and a half hours. Later I noticed his nails weren't trimmed still had his paws full of hair, his tail was matted his facial hair was not trimmed properly. What the heck was she thinking. After reading all the reviews after the fact I am not the only victim of this place. How can they do this and get away with it. I took my dog in good faith and I was screwed over. i WOULD like to hear from management but we'll see. read more

My 1year old pup was there for nearly 7 hours. You call for an appointment and they sound very accommodating. Any time you please, we have openings. They have a "package " that includes a bandana...otherwise you don't get one. I told my pup that never again will I subject him to such cruelty. He was sooo thirsty when he got home. Didn't even give him water! I do not leave him in his crate for that long, and neither should a business that supposedly cares for them. I would rather have gotten a phone call to pick him up, if they couldn't get to him in a couple of hours! Never again! read more

I have been bringing my dog here for some time, and today I dropped him off before 10am. Now I'm standing here at 545 pm and he's still not done. My poor guy was in a kennel for almost 8 hours waiting. The excuse "we were really busy and we're only human." Funny, I thought humans could pick up a phone and call the owner to say today isn't a good day. My poor pup certainly can't dial a phone to get picked up or let himself out of a kennel to pee after 8 hours of waiting. NEVER again will I darken these doors. read more
