3/18/25- the food takes a while to get to you. At the same time it's good and decently priced for most items. It is a tight squeeze to get to the restrooms since the hall is also used for storage so I don't think that the bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. read more

This is a great spot for el Salvadoran food! They have about 10 tables for dining in and mostly do takeout. They were pretty busy on a Saturday night so I recommend calling ahead for takeout. Reasonably priced and everything we tried was delicious. We got the combo plate for 28$ which easily feeds 2-3 people and let us try a bit of everything. Their pupusas were my favorite but I loved their sweet corn tamale as well. Would definitely go back! read more

Food is good , prices are great! Pupusas are delicious and they make a drink called ensalada (fruit salad drink) only on the weekends. (My opinion, a must try) Restaurant looks a little run down but it still hits. I do suggest ordering ahead of time cause the pupusas are made to order so they are hot and fresh ! read more

Went here for the first time today, my family and I have never tried El Salvadoran food before. It was incredible. The wait staff was very helpful in choosing the best selection for first time guests. We got the sampler (highly recommend for first time guests) from the papusas to the desserts, the 3 courses were refreshingly different and delicious. The restaurant was family friendly and sweet to my daughter. The staff at the front was even kind enough to answer any questions I had about the menu and items I wasn't familiar with. We will absolutely be returning. 5 stars read more

Bruh!!! I'm so glad I came here! The tamales and Papusas are absolutely amazing! I had some Asada Tacos as well. Super affordable for the amount of food. This place is SOOOOOO good! I had tried another Salvadoran restaurant in the area and although the food was good their the customer service wasn't the best. At Pupusas House you get both amazing food and service! They are very attentive and friendly. The food was so warm and 10/10, so so yummy! We brought some of the food to our friends as well, and they also loved it all. Literally "OMG THIS IS SO GOOD" we ordered pupusas, pastelitos, empanadas, atol, all delicious! We lucked out. We are in town visiting and needed some breakfast. The brunch places were overflowing and I desperately needed something to eat quickly. I didn't care if it was breakfast food. Pupusa house was open and I came. First off, this could definitely be a brunch spot. Get the banana pupusas. They are really nice with a thin crispy outer layer that has just a little bit of cinnamon sugar coating. Inside is bananas and some sweetened condensed milk. It's hot, it's crispy, it's earthy, it's sweet. It's one of the more unique things I've eaten lately. I also got the Loco Pupusa. Huge serving loaded with meat, cheese, and veggies. The salvadorian horchata was great too. They brought me a sample before I ordered. Great food. Great customer service. Great portions. Covid safe. Second time here. It's a small family owned little joint, a little hot in the summer when eating in, but the food is fantastic. Had a smothered burrito. I don't know why this place has 5 stars. They made me wait 40 minutes when I ordered at the restaurant with my 16 month old & everyone except for the youngster working there was rude & ignored me. Maybe the thought I was Mexican. The pupusas were not all that & my order of carnitas tacos was almost all chunks of fat!! Just one tiny sauce to go with everything I ordered for $45 I wish I didn't tip before hand! My wife was angry at me for buying this & couldn't eat it. We will never go back there again. read more

Delicious! I've tried a lot of different pupusas and this place has, by far, the BEST pupusas I've had yet! They have ample filling and are made to order, fresh and hot. I also loved the plantains with cream, beans, and cheese. The restaurant is a a bit hidden from the street but is easy to navigate to. It is clean and feels like an authentic restaurant similar to those I've visited in Mexico or Belize. It appears to be family owned and the cashier was very nice. The selection was good and the prices were reasonable and we will definitely go back to try some other dishes. read more

Easily our favorite food in NE Aurora. We like to get their large sampler option and love everything! The yuka, the plantain empanadas, the pupusas, the fried plantains. It's all so so good. The only thing to keep in mind is it is NOT quick service. But now that we know that we are willing to just plan accordingly and will enjoy Pupusa House a lot while we live here. read more

wow! Esta comida estaba deliciosa y barata!! Fueron las pupusas más ricas en la área. I had these last night with my family it was incredibly delicious, very filling and reasonably priced! Family of 3 were extremely full with only $25 including drinks! Many other pupusas places in the area were closed on Monday, but this was open so we decided to try this one. We didn't have to wait long for our food and the staff were very nice. For such a short wait period, I was impressed with the quality, texture and taste. Highly recommend! read more

My wife and I tried this place for dinner last night and wow I was impressed! I have only had pupusas one other time but this is some of the best food I have tried! We especially liked the Loroco and the frijoles y queso...they give you salsa and a 'cabbage' like mixture of vegetables with a little kick as your sides which compliment the delicious meal they serve you. I will be back for sure! read more

Overall food is good (sometimes), they always forget something in my order and take more than 30 min to get the order ready even if you call in or place it online, you might as well be ready to wait for your order for an hour. Employees are really nice at the register I guess, it's just the ladies in the kitchen who take way too long with the orders lol. I'll admit; I am still new to this cuisine and yet I've been to a really good restaurant that boasts this type of food in the central Denver. Having that memory still fresh in mind, when I discovered this place accidentally today, there was no need for me to waste time to second guess about the food. The restaurant is easy to spot; its restaurant name is clearly on the front of the building with big letters. Its boastful existence to let people know about it is something I can appreciate. My anticipation was high due to its current ratings of near-perfect 5 stars. Whereas I've been to places where I truly thought they were simply overrated, I was under the impression that this place was an exception. Upon entering the eatery, a bright pastel colored mural (or wall painting I should say) with restaurant name on it was right in front of me. Its vividness - as if to say that it depicts the colorfulness of the dishes they serve - was a sure indication that it is a diverse restaurant with flavorful cooking. This also enhanced my anticipation. While I was taking some photos at the reception that was unmanned, a young lady eventually came to me with a welcoming voice. She then immediately asked me if I was there for a dine in or to go to which I said to go. The menu is a good size. Colored pictures with easy-to-understand dish name and the description, no person gets confused with what they have to offer. My intent was to get me a few small side dishes and yet as soon as I saw the "Paradise Plate" ($31.95 as of June 14, 2025), I was like, "why not?" even though I wasn't there to buy a huge plate to be shared with someone else. If you visit this place for the first time, this dish is recommended as it has everything. And the portion is huge (this can be easily split between two people.) The plate contains 3 traditional pupusas (which you'll be asked to choose from the traditional pupusa section), 1 chicken or pork tamale, 1 corn tamale, 1 savory empanada, fried yucca (2 pieces) and fried plantain (2 pieces) are all in 1 plate. On top of that, coleslaw type salad/veggie and red sauce accompanied the whole thing so when the young lady handed me my food, the plastic bag was quite the weight. Oh my goodness, what did I just get??? As a tradition of mine, as soon as I got to my car, I immediately opened the bag and then I was like oola la, I realized that I simply got waaaaaay too much food for one person. Sound like I was complaining and yet I was filled with unexplainable joy that filled my heart and mind. Some were deep-fried, some were pan-fried or oven-baked. However they were cooked, their rich and oily flavors with all kinds of spices and ingredients were all over my mouth. I ate some of it in 2 separate sittings and yet the container still had plenty of food left for me to morsel the next day. No wonder this place has 4.5 stars by people who experienced the goodness they offer. Let's not forget. The restaurant is a good size. It was clean. It's got some bar seating perfect for solo diners. I wonder how crowded it gets on a peak lunch or dinner time. Anyway, I am not sure how many (El) Salvadorian cuisine restaurants that exist in the greater Denver area and yet, this must be ranked one of the top 5 for sure. I may still like the one on Colorado Boulevard as it's a lot closer to my house (for a convenience reason), this place checks for great food and service. Whereas I thought some of the foods were a bit too oily to my liking, its overall food quality speaks for itself as to why people fancy this restaurant. For those who live in the Green Valley Ranch neighborhood, lucky them!

This soup takes hours to prepare and the perfectly seasoned and cooked meats, vegetables and broth reflected this investment of life energy. I have been to Maravilla's many times and experienced their delicious food and great service, but this meal reminded me of home and compelled this review. They were, and they were delicious! The tamales were also delicious, as well as the horchata and maracuya passion fruit juice. I ate some of my lunch there and ate some later on my road trip. Angelica, the owner, is also friendly and chatted with me. The server who boxed my food and collected my payment was also friendly. They also have fun, gorgeous art everywhere. Stop in for delicious filling food and friendly service!
