This place is known for their pupusas but they're meh. Al pastor and asada fillings are ok, but chicharron filling is weird. It's not what I expect it to taste like. It tastes more like finely shredded pork with heavy seasonings. All pupusas are very greasy, you can see the oil dripping on the parchment line paper. Each pupusa order comes with coleslaw which is very refreshing and delicious. It adds a nice crunch and cut through the richness of the pupusas. Fried plantain is also delicious. It's a bit odd that it was served with sour cream and refried beans, but whatever. This small restaurant is mainly for to-go orders. No seating area indoor. There's a seating area outdoor with limited tables and chairs, covered by umbrellas. Overall it was not very good - all because of the oily pupusas which makes it so heavy to digest.

Months I've been driving past this place and finally had some time to go in. It's a teeny tiny place. I mean 3-4 people max. This is a 1st for me where you order, they give a number, and you wait in the car for delivery. There's outside dining area, but nothing inside. The carne asada tacos were delicious. We also had the chicken torta for the kids and that left untouched.

This place is awesome! Little shack on the side of Colfax with a tight parking lot. No indoor seating but there is a outdoor side patio. Very smart of them and you'll understand why in the next couple of sentences. The food here is banging! I ordered the Pupusas De Asada and Al Pastor Burrito and although I was farting my way through each bite, I was loving it. Pupusas so fluffy and crispy and the burrito was loaded. The Al Pastor was so delicious I'll probably get double next time with less rice and beans. I'm still farting as I type this, but wow, this place is a must go.

One of each. Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Chorizó with all the trimmings.

Spectacular. Magnifique. Simple, wholesome tacos in this hole in the wall establishment that serves authentic quality tacos with all of the trimmings. Al Pastor is their specialty, closely followed by juicy carne asada and spicy chorizo. The tortillas must be hand made or made that day - so warm and fresh. At $3 a taco you get quality and a decent portion. Looking forward to another excuse to be in the neighbor hood to stop by and have a little slice of Al Pastor-ness Goodness #YUM

This place is luckily nearby. They prepare everything fresh right in front of you. The meat is superior...all of it. The veggies are prepared fresh for every order. All of their sauces & salsas are unique and delicious ...but can vary in heat day to day depending of course on the fresh peppers involved. Tacos, burritos , and papusas are the main items. If you've never tried a papusa they say this is the spot. I like the cheese one myself. I also recommend the smothered burrito...their meat is better than the most expensive Mexican restaurants I have tried. I really can't give any other suggestions other than go in your first time to see just how clean & fresh the food is.

Food is insanely good! I enjoyed the cheese papusa, and Al pastor and shrimp tacos. You can tell this place is amazing because it's filled with locals. Only downside for me was that the salsa was too spicy (I can only tolerate mild salsa) but it was still really good without any sauce. No indoor seating so we ended up eating in our car (we don't live nearby and didn't want the food to be cold)

Was told that the al pastor tacos here were the best - but I come from San Diego, so that is a big claim. Decided to try them out and ehh.. not as great as SD, but for Denver I think they were decent. The pineapple was a good touch. Also tried the pupusas and they were yummy. A little over priced in my opinion.

Look no further for your plátanos maduros cravings. An order here comes with 2 thoroughly ripened plátanos fried with lots of crispy caramelization. Pupusas are very yummy--give loroco, a green edible flower, a try as it pairs great with the melty cheese. Wash it all down with some horchata.

Seeking to satisfy my taco craving I made my way to the 'Fax and Tacos Acapulco for some street taco goodness! ++ Prices are on point! ++ Both the tacos and the pupusas are phenominal! I noshed on the tacos de camaron and an al pastor pupusa! Sooo tasty! ++ Service is pretty darn quick; making it a great lunch spot! ++ While the space is small and a little divey looking on the outside; inside it's very modern and clean! Tacos Acapulco was def what my taco obsessing self ordered! I know I will be back!! #tacosarelife

They open at 9am, is there breakfast burritos or do they offer their whole menu at this time?

I have always been able to order their whole menu. I am unsure if they have breakfast burritos as I have never thought to order breakfast burritos from them. I usually get pupusas

When dining in, are there tableware that is not styrofoam or plastic?

From what I saw, there is not any sort of cutlery or dining china. When the food is done, they give it to you over the counter in styrofoam. It's really a very very small place so there isn't tons of space to dine-in to begin with. Hope that's… Read more

Pupusas are thick, stuffed corn masa filled with things like cheese, beans, pork, fish and grilled. We started with the curtido, which is the traditional Salvadoran pickled cabbage slaw. The pupusa was perfectly balanced, it wasn't under or over stuffed. The tamal was perfectly sweet and was balanced out by the saltiness of the crema it was served with. I'll admit; I am still new to this cuisine and yet I've been to a really good restaurant that boasts this type of food in the central Denver. Having that memory still fresh in mind, when I discovered this place accidentally today, there was no need for me to waste time to second guess about the food. The restaurant is easy to spot; its restaurant name is clearly on the front of the building with big letters. Its boastful existence to let people know about it is something I can appreciate. My anticipation was high due to its current ratings of near-perfect 5 stars. Whereas I've been to places where I truly thought they were simply overrated, I was under the impression that this place was an exception. Upon entering the eatery, a bright pastel colored mural (or wall painting I should say) with restaurant name on it was right in front of me. Its vividness - as if to say that it depicts the colorfulness of the dishes they serve - was a sure indication that it is a diverse restaurant with flavorful cooking. This also enhanced my anticipation. While I was taking some photos at the reception that was unmanned, a young lady eventually came to me with a welcoming voice. She then immediately asked me if I was there for a dine in or to go to which I said to go. The menu is a good size. Colored pictures with easy-to-understand dish name and the description, no person gets confused with what they have to offer. My intent was to get me a few small side dishes and yet as soon as I saw the "Paradise Plate" ($31.95 as of June 14, 2025), I was like, "why not?" even though I wasn't there to buy a huge plate to be shared with someone else. If you visit this place for the first time, this dish is recommended as it has everything. And the portion is huge (this can be easily split between two people.) The plate contains 3 traditional pupusas (which you'll be asked to choose from the traditional pupusa section), 1 chicken or pork tamale, 1 corn tamale, 1 savory empanada, fried yucca (2 pieces) and fried plantain (2 pieces) are all in 1 plate. On top of that, coleslaw type salad/veggie and red sauce accompanied the whole thing so when the young lady handed me my food, the plastic bag was quite the weight. Oh my goodness, what did I just get??? As a tradition of mine, as soon as I got to my car, I immediately opened the bag and then I was like oola la, I realized that I simply got waaaaaay too much food for one person. Sound like I was complaining and yet I was filled with unexplainable joy that filled my heart and mind. Some were deep-fried, some were pan-fried or oven-baked. However they were cooked, their rich and oily flavors with all kinds of spices and ingredients were all over my mouth. I ate some of it in 2 separate sittings and yet the container still had plenty of food left for me to morsel the next day. No wonder this place has 4.5 stars by people who experienced the goodness they offer. Let's not forget. The restaurant is a good size. It was clean. It's got some bar seating perfect for solo diners. I wonder how crowded it gets on a peak lunch or dinner time. Anyway, I am not sure how many (El) Salvadorian cuisine restaurants that exist in the greater Denver area and yet, this must be ranked one of the top 5 for sure. I may still like the one on Colorado Boulevard as it's a lot closer to my house (for a convenience reason), this place checks for great food and service. Whereas I thought some of the foods were a bit too oily to my liking, its overall food quality speaks for itself as to why people fancy this restaurant. For those who live in the Green Valley Ranch neighborhood, lucky them!
