Tallarin a la huancaina w lomo saltado
    Tes H.

After living in Lima for half a year over 2 years ago, I discovered this place on yelp and had to come reminisce. The tallarin a la huancaina was exactly the way I remember it being in Peru and I could not have been happier. The other food was all amazing, but this dish will forever be my favorite. I wanted causa but they always run out at lunch time, she said so get there early if you want a special treat! Inside is clean and they have a bakery selection similar to what you see in the street cafes in Lima. The staff was also very nice and I noticed them being extra helpful to people who needed help with the menu - so if you're new to the cuisine, this friendly place should be your first stop! 5/5 stars and can't wait to come back.

WTF? Inflation fee: 1.5% plus 3% credit card surcharge (4.5%). Additional fees not disclosed; surprise surprise.

They charge an inflation tax, Ironic since at 23 dollars for three pieces of chicken it's their prices that are inflated. Then they tax you another 3% to use a credit card. This owner is crazy never coming back. You also don't find out about all these extra fees until after you've paid. Maybe that's how they do business in Peru. Not OK here.

Excellent food and very friendly staff. This was my first time trying Peruvian food, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken saltado was flavorful and fresh. I usually never like tomatoes... but the tomatoes in the chicken saltado dish here are my one exception! The chicken saltado is served with onions, tomatoes, fries, and rice, which all paired excellently with the soy sauce-based sauce. The inside of the restaurant is casual and comfortable, and had a good amount of diners enjoying lunch on a Sunday. I'm really looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes here. I highly recommend this food to anyone looking for a fresh, flavorful meal.

Loved the food here. Just one suggestion for the owners to switch to real silverware would elevate the dining experience. Loved the causa and ceviche. Best Peruvian food in Denver area.

This place was delicious. I am a connoisseur of ceviche and this is one of the best ceviche platters I have tasted. We ordered: 1. Ceviche Fish 2. Steak Lomo Saltado The steak lomo saltado is a Peruvian/Asian fusion but the meat was tender and the flavors were delicious!!

Absolutely amazing!! Coming from a Peruvian household and then recently moving into the area- I am so incredibly happy that this place exists. If you're looking for authentic, fresh food in general, Please give love to this restaurant! The staff was very friendly and I love the small atmosphere with educational information about Peru along the walls. I'll absolutely be coming again.

Delicious Chicken and plantains. Cooked perfectly. Service was wonderful and accommodating. I highly recommend and will definitely go back. The sauces served with this dish were tasty and perfect.

Super good Peruvian food! The lady who owns the restaurant is super kind and friendly, and it was all fairly priced. The restaurant itself is welcoming and family-oriented. I'm sure there's something for everybody here!

Delicious rotisserie chicken I ripped apart like a bear eating a salmon. Try all the sauces. Glad I found this place. Will come back.

Too salty food, terrible service (at least from the cashier who is, as well, the waitress) but the ambiance was okay.

Beef tartare was close behind, finely diced and well-seasoned. The guacamole was fresh and chunky, the prawns had a nice char, and the Amarillo ceviche brought a bright, citrusy heat from the aji amarillo peppers that balanced beautifully against the cool, tender fish. But the real highlight of the night was the steaks. My skirt steak was cooked perfectly, well-charred outside and tender inside, paired with the potatoes three ways, crispy, creamy, and roasted, each with its own texture and seasoning. Even better was the tomahawk ribeye, flambéed tableside in mezcal, a great bit of theater with a smoky, slightly sweet flame that infused the meat. I got lucky enough to try a bite. Rich, buttery, and delicious with heavy rosemary. A real treat. Service was a bit spotty for our group. I won't go into details, but our server disappeared for long stretches and it took a long time to finally get our entrees. This was likely because of our specific server.

Drew was a great server, very attentive and made great recommendations for a solo diner. I enjoyed a glass of Grenache rose and the half portion of Goat Cheese Gnudi. The Gnudi were the fluffiest pillows of yum and the lamb ragù made it the perfect amount of filling for a late evening meal.

July 28, 2026 - Denver, CO…read more After a midday hike on the Cherry Creek Trail, we were looking for a shaded, dog-friendly patio to escape the heat. As we wandered through Larimer Square, the menu posted outside Rioja caught my eye, and we decided to stop for lunch. I'm so glad we did. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Our pup was immediately greeted with a bowl of ice water, and despite the hot afternoon, our own water glasses were never allowed to get empty. Those little touches made us feel genuinely welcome. We started with the Summer Harvest Salad ($14) with Rebel Farms greens, freekeh, crème fraîche, pistachios, and fresh herbs. The kitchen thoughtfully split it into two bowls for us, and it was one of the best salads I've ever had--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. For our entrée, we shared the Dumpling Lasagna ($18), made with duck sausage, mushroom ramen broth, egg roll dough, chili crunch, and green onions. It was unlike any lasagna I've ever tasted, wonderfully creative and absolutely delicious. Although it couldn't be plated separately, they provided extra plates so we could easily share. We couldn't resist dessert and ordered the Flourless Fudge Torte ($14) with milk chocolate ganache, cherry compote, and vanilla crème anglaise. It was every bit as decadent and delicious as it sounds, and the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. Between the exceptional food, attentive service, and welcoming patio, we left feeling pampered, well-fed, and truly appreciated.
