Tallarin a la huancaina w lomo saltado
    Tes H.

After living in Lima for half a year over 2 years ago, I discovered this place on yelp and had to come reminisce. The tallarin a la huancaina was exactly the way I remember it being in Peru and I could not have been happier. The other food was all amazing, but this dish will forever be my favorite. I wanted causa but they always run out at lunch time, she said so get there early if you want a special treat! Inside is clean and they have a bakery selection similar to what you see in the street cafes in Lima. The staff was also very nice and I noticed them being extra helpful to people who needed help with the menu - so if you're new to the cuisine, this friendly place should be your first stop! 5/5 stars and can't wait to come back.

WTF? Inflation fee: 1.5% plus 3% credit card surcharge (4.5%). Additional fees not disclosed; surprise surprise.

They charge an inflation tax, Ironic since at 23 dollars for three pieces of chicken it's their prices that are inflated. Then they tax you another 3% to use a credit card. This owner is crazy never coming back. You also don't find out about all these extra fees until after you've paid. Maybe that's how they do business in Peru. Not OK here.

Excellent food and very friendly staff. This was my first time trying Peruvian food, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken saltado was flavorful and fresh. I usually never like tomatoes... but the tomatoes in the chicken saltado dish here are my one exception! The chicken saltado is served with onions, tomatoes, fries, and rice, which all paired excellently with the soy sauce-based sauce. The inside of the restaurant is casual and comfortable, and had a good amount of diners enjoying lunch on a Sunday. I'm really looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes here. I highly recommend this food to anyone looking for a fresh, flavorful meal.

Loved the food here. Just one suggestion for the owners to switch to real silverware would elevate the dining experience. Loved the causa and ceviche. Best Peruvian food in Denver area.

This place was delicious. I am a connoisseur of ceviche and this is one of the best ceviche platters I have tasted. We ordered: 1. Ceviche Fish 2. Steak Lomo Saltado The steak lomo saltado is a Peruvian/Asian fusion but the meat was tender and the flavors were delicious!!

Absolutely amazing!! Coming from a Peruvian household and then recently moving into the area- I am so incredibly happy that this place exists. If you're looking for authentic, fresh food in general, Please give love to this restaurant! The staff was very friendly and I love the small atmosphere with educational information about Peru along the walls. I'll absolutely be coming again.

Super good Peruvian food! The lady who owns the restaurant is super kind and friendly, and it was all fairly priced. The restaurant itself is welcoming and family-oriented. I'm sure there's something for everybody here!

Too salty food, terrible service (at least from the cashier who is, as well, the waitress) but the ambiance was okay.

If supporting a local thriving and yet unknown business is your cup of tea, then look no further…read moreand go here: Alpaca Chasqui Charbroiled Chicken. Describing this restaurant as amazing small business simply doesn't do justice. You have to utilize them and see it for yourself. Opened its door about a year or so ago. I noticed this place (I would say) about 6 months ago when I was at the liquor store (in the same shopping center) working my side hustle (sampling some products as a representative from the distributor.) I simply didn't have time that day so I had no choice but to reserve the opportunity to visit them for another time. I cannot believe that I simply let another 6 months pass by before I was finally able to utilize them today (Dec 7, 2025). On a sunny Sunday afternoon, it was way past the peak lunch time. The restaurant didn't have anybody dining when I stepped in. As I was furiously taking photos of its exterior from the overview of the front of restaurant to small Sunday special signage, I simply couldn't stop taking more photos of it once I was inside; it's quite cozy and cute! And it's all about Peru and alpacas!! I, of course, was warmly welcomed by a few workers at the ordering counter. The lady in charge was peppy and gregarious. She explained about the restaurant a bit. She then handed me several different menus from breakfast menu to drink menu to main (food) menu so I would know what the restaurant offers. The size of the restaurant is smaller but what they offer and serve is mighty! I told her I would need at least 5 minutes to peruse all the menus. I had time; there was no need for me to rush the process. At a place like this (South American cuisine), ordering an empanada or a few is a must. I've had empanadas from several different South American countries such as El Salvador to Columbia to Argentina to Nicaragua. It was my first time to experience ones from Peru. Yes, I simply could not resist the urge. My final decision was as follows: T. Aji De Gallina (Peruvian spicy creamed chicken stew) and one of the empanadas (I ended up getting a ground beef one even though I asked for a vegetarian one. This was okay as it was a simply mistake.) Aji de gallina: As I described above, this is a stew with chicken, rice and potatoes. This curry like stew is made with milk, peanuts and pecans. Simply state, exquisitely made with a subtle taste of peanuts. The chicken and potatoes were well-smothered in the creamy stew with a slight kick of spiciness. And when you eat it with jasmine rice like rice lightly seasoned with salt, a magic is created in your mouth to feel the warmth and savoriness. Simply and delightfully well-made dish to say the least. Ground beef empanada: Again, I ordered the spinach and cheese empanada but ended up getting the ground beef one. It was an honest mistake where it really didn't upset me. The excellent service by the lady upfront and the main dish's exquisiteness pretty much nullified the mistaken for me. And I found the ground beef empanada wonderful (the accompanying chimichurri sauce enhanced the whole experience.) Well, this also created a desire in me to go back there again soon and try other empanadas including the one I couldn't eat (spinach and cheese). This place is only a 15-minute drive from my southeast Denver house. For a quick drive that short, I can go here just about any time during my lunch break or after work. At my next visit, I will definitely try S. Seco A La Nortena (cilantro beef stew). And one of the empanadas for sure! I simply cannot wait for that opportunity.

YUM! Thank you Mary for the Delicious Peruvian coffee and Empanada! Will definitely be back.read more

The restaurant is modern, sleek, open, and well lit. The service is out of this world. Everyone is falling over themselves to help you, though not in a gross way. I had two pastas (you could have either a full pasta dish or a half, and I chose to have two halves). I had the goat cheese gnudi (lamb ragu, fennel pollen, pecorino). Half portion was 14, whole 28. It was rich, meaty, and delish. I also had the mushroom pappardelle (pickled pearl onion, crispy maitake, sheep ricotta, dill). Half 18, full 29. Rich, filling, luxurious. My friend had the duck, which she loved. She can't eat red meat and it was prepared in such a way it almost made her feel like she was eating red meat again. My friend's husband had the scallops as an app (we tasted them too, they were decadent). Then he had the paella, again, a crowd pleaser. We ate every bite of all of it. We had several complex, amazing cocktails. Not the run of the mill. Ingredients that are more unique than the average spot for sure. A lot of gin and absinthe. We had one called Ecto cooler (rum, lychee, kiwi coriander shrub) that we all enjoyed immensely. It's not cheap. For all three of us, with our decadent entrees and multiple alcoholic drinks, as well as dessert and apps, was around 450 with the appropriate tip (I did tip heavy because the service was so spectacular). But I also appreciate this restaurant pays a living wage and charges a small uncharge to allow for this. Amazing experience. And on a pedestrian walkway and near clocktower cabaret, so you can have a great evening.

We shared two desserts--the Media Luna de Limon for our friend who is gf and df, and the rest of us shared the brownie with coffee ice cream which was incredible--warm and just the right size if you want just 1-2 bites (between three of us) of something sweet.
