On my way home, I got cravings for pupusas and decided to Yelp for help...funny, it rhymes...Yelp for help...LOL! I was given directions to this place; it was a bit hard to find and there's only street parking. I had to park a couple of blocks away...yup, this is how committed I am to pupusas. It is a small, dated place...a bit hot and muggy in there, I went in and there was no one at the counter but I could see someone in the kitchen. I started to call out loud for help, but I guess because of the sound of the fan they could not hear me. It took a while, but finally someone came out. An older lady came out and she was an absolutely adorable, sweetheart of a person. She was so nice and sweet...she was so patient with me. I ordered the cheese, cheese with jalapeno and cheese with shrimp pupusas. Since there's only take out, they packaged everything very well...nothing leaked out during my trip home. The cheese and cheese with jalapeno were very good! The cheese and shrimp were also good, but just not for me. My brother, however, loved them. I'm glad I trusted the reviews here and drove out to try their food. I ordered a bunch but my personal favorite was their bean and cheese pupusas. OMG!!!! I am defenity a fan! $1 pupusas! I can eat em all night long. The Curtido is really good. Tastes fresh. And of course, the pupusas were delicious. Really, they were. Also ordered the yucca frita (see pic) and ensalada as my drink. Unfortunately they were out of the atol de elote. :( It's a small little restaurant and you have to find parking on the street but the service is really good. The young man who took our order also mans the register and has great customer service. My friend ordered the sopa de pata and it took a little longer than usual but they were very apologetic and it looked like they mean it, which i appreciate. I am amazed at this place! Their pupusas are to die for. Every single time it's a win when come over to eat here. The food place is cash only but it's always worth it. Their parcking situation is a little tricky since they do share the parcking spaces with the shopping center and the vast station. I really enjoyed their pupusas revueltas. Also the kitchen is run by women! It makes me happy to see women handle the kitchen jobs since it's a male dominated industry. I fell right in love with this place. Being from salvadorean descent, I'm kinda picky when it comes to my Salvi food. I came here with my bf, because of the yelp reviews. I can honestly say they did not disappoint. This hole in the wall is a golden spot. First of all, I felt I was back in El salvador. The staff had that old school Salvi friendliness. "AL la orden". The staff are super friendly and attentive. The pupusas were amazing. Good consistency, my pupusas were not greasy or did not lack the yummy filling. I had revueltas and queso de loroco. We also had a breakfast platter and OMG the salsa they put on the eggs amazing, giving them a great taste for my over easy eggs. Overall this is a gem stop, not to forget $1pupusas on Mondays. I loved eating at this restaurant. The staff is always so welcoming and the food was delicious and not to mention the ensalada and horchata. I use to come here every chance I get when I'm in the valley. But.. I came to eat here today and I must say that the food tasted old and the horchata was way too sweet. I work nearby, and this is one of the best places to get lunch. The bean and cheese pupusas are to die for! I admit I wasn't as much of fan of the tamales or the empanadas, but that was more due to my own personal tastes than any failure on their part - everything was safely and competently made. And it's a great value. The serving sizes are HUGE. The service is always wonderful and quick, as well. They are closed on Wednesdays, though, so make sure you stop by on a different day! read more

I love this restaurant so much! The pupusas and empanadas de platano are so tasty. The have salvadorean horchata, and other aguas frescas that are delicious. I've had their tamales as well and they do run out of fast so if you want some make sure you order or pick up early. If you order on the days they have specials make sure you order at least an hr ahead of time (for pupusas). They get really busy and have been getting a lot of customers.
