The woman behind the counter with her cute bowl cut smiled from ear to ear and began to work on my order immediately. Extremely fair priced, good portions in terms of value for money and as far as Chinese fast food goes it was exactly what I was looking for. And if you're curious, the barbecue pork was juicy and pretty tender. On a juicy/tenderness scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a solid 7 which is good score coming from a nitpick like me (haha) it might even be better if I come a little earlier given that I've just come at the end of the night. I went to this place 1 minute before their closing time and like other independent business owners, instead of throwing their unsold/left over food, that they'll sell them for discounted price. Which makes sense to me. If I own a restaurant, I will sell the unsold/left over food for half the price 15 minutes before closing time. That way, I made a little profit, my community has happy belly and I would be able to showcase how flavorful the food that I sell even though it's been sitting there for a long time. BUT NO. I WAS DISAPPOINTED. Not only that the food was already RUBBER-ish texture (since it's been sitting there for a long time, it's very oily and salty and at top of that, they didn't give me discount on food that's technically not FRESHLY MADE. OPINION: My point here is that business practice doesn't make sense UNLESS, they recook/reheat their left overs for tomorrow's early lunch customers - again last part is just my opinion. I was a little hesitant considering that I'm pretty picky with Chinese food but we decided to give it a shot since we were hungry and wanted to eat ASAP. We ordered chow mein, orange chicken, chicken kung pao, chicken and mushroom, steamed rice, won ton soup, and egg rolls. I only tried the chow mein, orange chicken and kung pao. Chow mein was a little disappointing, a little bland and just tasted like noodles. But the kung pao and orange chicken was good. The orange chicken was tangy and the kung pao was flavorful. The servings were huge! They seriously fill the boxes up! You're definitely getting a good deal and can probably even share one plate with a friend and both end up being satisfied. Since we ordered the over the phone, they must have seen how much food we were ordering because they included sauces, forks and even threw in some plates! I love egg rolls and was pretty excited to have some today considering that it's been a while, however I wouldn't be coming back for egg rolls. Everything else (minus chow mein)- yes. Do you like fast food panda express type Chinese food? This place has got you covered. The food is decent, but they'll load you up with as much as will fit inside a box. The options are pretty standard. Beef & Broccoli, BBQ pork, Orange Chicken, mushroom chicken, etc. You can order 1, 2, or 3 item combos which come with fried rice or chow mien. Alternatively, you can order items a la cart. This can be differentiated from the nearby Pacoima Chinese Food & Teriyaki as this spot does have a TV and the cashier is one friendly Chinese couple instead of one Chinese man. You order at an L shaped counter with a soda machine at the end. At this spot you can see into the kitchen, so you can try to find out what they put into their sauces. Also despite having less places to sit, the seats are more comfortable. They have pads on the seats instead of just plain wood. read more

I would recommend ordering one of their house shops. They are filled with loads of vegetables and really fill you up. The restaurant owner really gets to know your food preferences. For example whenever I go she offers me the soup because that one my favorite meals. When I go with my brother she offers to serve him white steamed rice because he prefers that over the fried rices. During rush hour it may take a little long to get your food since there is only one server. Dining space is limited but perfect for a quick lunch with friends or a casual date.
