Been coming here since they opened. They just recently changed owner though. So I went back to give it a try, it seems like not much changed. The food was still good, although it seemed to be slightly less flavorful than I remembered. I'm assuming it's because the cooks are new and still learning, but regardless, I still enjoyed everything. But they do seemed a bit short staffed, from what I could tell, there was only two cooks and one lady working as the waitress/cashier. Which isn't too bad if it's not too busy. They did take a bit, but the food came out nice and hot. Overall, would recommend this place, give it a try. read more

I placed an order for 12 queso y lorocco pupusas. When I arrived, the employee at the register tried to give me 4 queso y frijole pupusas. I told her multiple times what I ordered, then I told a male employee what I ordered. They talked to the cook and she said she never made them. The male employee slapped down the menu and asked me what I wanted, no apology for missing my order. I walked out. Very unprofessional. read more

New in the neighborhood and we like trying new restaurants, so I came here for dinner with my husband and we ordered the chancho with yuca plate, (deep fried pork and cassava) with fresh salad, the pork was very tasty. We also ordered 4 pupusas: chicken with melted cheese, pork with fried beans and melted cheese, shrimp with melted cheese, and loroco (this is a flower) with melted cheese, and Maracuyá (passion fruit), as a drink. We enjoyed EVERYTHING!!! This is a family business, Cinthia was the host and server and her mother was the cook. Cinthia was very friendly, charming personality, and very informative about Salvatorian food. We are definitely coming back this weekend to try their famous soups! read more

I was super excited to try this restaurant after not having had pupusas in over 10 years. I ordered the 2 pupusa dinner with arroz y frijoles for $8.50 with a large horchata Salvadeña for $3. I waited about 15 minutes because the pupusas are made hot and fresh. I had one chicken and cheese pupusa and one pupusa mixta (frijoles, queso, and chicharrón). The pupusas were nice and thick, but there was not much filling inside. Once you cut them open, they fall apart. The pupusa mixta seemed to only have beans inside. The frijoles and the slaw were the most flavorful components of the meal. However, the pickled slaw was given in a ziplock which was strange. As for the sauces, both the roja and the verde were not spicy but seemed rather watered down. The horchata Salvadoreña was also nothing special - it tasted very watery. I was given both the to-go and dine-in menu. The prices from both menus are different and displays a price increase. For example, my large horchata used to be $1.95, but is now $3. Overall, my meal was $8.50 for the 2 pupusa dinner, $3 for the large horchata, and then I was charged with a $0.50 miscellaneous fee perhaps for ordering to-go. I would have liked to been informed of the $0.50 fee before I saw it on the receipt. Before tax, my order was $12. For the same price, I could go to another nearby restaurant for authentic food and cheaper horchatas. The restaurant was clean and they have a TV for noticias. The pupusas were good, but I won't be returning. They also sell Mexican and Guatemalan food, but if you are craving authentic food like tacos and horchata, consider visiting Los Compadres or Los Arcos in the same strip mall for a wider selection. read more

Not your traditional Popusas. Instead of the Chicharron or Cheese being mixed with the Maza(Corn Dough), the patty was slit and it was stuffed with your choice of ingredients. It was more like a Mexican Gordita. The cabbage slaw was dry and old. Not my cup of tea. read more

Was in the area and spotted this place. Good value for the price as I left stuffed. The pupusas were well made but the filling was very lacking. I ordered chorizo ones and could almost count the morsels in the thin layer of cheese. The rice and beans were very good. The cabbage slaw was good but nothing I couldn't easily make at home. Decided to come here on New Year's Eve...Best decision ever ! Me and my sister got the pupusa dinner which comes with your choice of two pupusas rice and beans. We also got the empanadas. The pupusas are the most authentic ones I've had in a while. The empanadas where to die for ! And we also got an horchata which was delicious, just like from Salvador.
