Always come here for the carne asada tacos. Have tried it many times and they always taste good.

I forgot my lunch today and needed to make a stop at jewel. This spot happens to be across the street so I decided I'll be having Mexican for lunch! I ordered a steak burrito and an al pastor taco to go. The woman working was super friendly and helpful when I asked about their menu items. Their al pastor isn't quite like what I'm used to, but it's actually pretty tasty. It doesn't come off a spit, but it's got a nice marinade and is plump and juicy. The steak burrito was pretty good too, although it's a tad bit smaller than other places I've tried. The meat was tender and in good size chunks. For the price and quality, this place is definitely worth a try. Plenty of parking and the service is great!

Usually happy with my burrito I get from here but today decided to try gorditas...they are more like a sweet pancake bread with the ingredients mixed into the batter. Eh..not what I was expecting but not horrible. But what is this? I ordered 3 gorditas. They each come with a side of a cabbage salad...and I was given a baggie of it??

I hosted a UYE here yesterday and the food is fantastic! *pats self on back* I didn't know what to expect (no menu online and only a couple reviews) and, to tell you the truth, my expectations were low. If anything, I thought it might be divey. I was pleasantly surprised to find it's casual without compromising the cuisine. Think of it as somewhere between a fast food taqueria and a nicer sit-down restaurant. I wanted to try the whole enchilada, so our table ordered up appetizers, entrées, drinks and dessert. They bring out complimentary Chips & Salsa. The chips are fried, so they are warm and flaky without losing crunch. The salsa has chunks of veggies but the sauce is still smooth, and it's not too spicy for my Minnesotan heat tolerance. We also got the Guacamole Con Chips. It was so tasty that we ordered up another round. I went with the 3 Taco Dinner and got the Lomo (with chipotle sauce), Lengua, and Pastor. All of them came with onions and cilantro and I added sour cream, cheese and avocado. It's accompanied by rice and beans, both of which are prepared well, so they aren't dry and have a lot of flavor. The Lomo had a really good taste but the sauce was slightly spicier than I cared for (that means it's probably OK for most people) and the meat was chewy. The Lengua was a little dry but had good flavor (second best I've had after La Placita). The Pastor is very tender and tasty, so I think they cooked it with pineapple but I didn't see any pineapple chunks with the meat and I think that would have made it even better. Still, it's really, really good and was my favorite taco of the three. My dining companions report that the chicken burrito is great. The chicken was tender and you get a lot of fillings for about $6. Mariscos El Amigo #3 has a bar and I couldn't leave without trying a Margarita. It's solid. I'm pretty sure they are using a standard sour mix. It was not the best I've had, but it was far from the worst. This will do in a pinch if you're craving a Margarita and I really liked it with my meal. It's really strong, too. Service was good. We were greeted when we arrived and told to grab a seat wherever we wanted. Our waitress was prompt with drink orders and took our food order on the second stop at our table. When they were unsure if I wanted all the toppings I had ordered on all of the tacos, they came out and asked for clarification instead of just slapping it together and hoping they got it right. I very much appreciated that. The only complaint is that we were left hanging at the end. It got a little bit busier, but we finished the flan and waited and waited for the check. After a good 15 minutes or more, we were unsure if we'd get it at all or needed to pay at the counter, so we got up and went over to the exit and paid there. 1 complimentary order of Chips & Salsa, 2 orders of Guacamole Con Chips, 2 Chicken Burritos, 3 Tacos with Beans & Rice, 1 Margarita and 1 Flan came to a grand total of about $38 before tip. I'll definitely be back!

The restaurant is medium sized, clean, and spacious, with a wide variety of menu options. They offer brunch, lunch, dinner, desserts, and happy hour which is a nice bonus. I do wish the happy hour details were listed on a menu or somewhere visible. Our server, who was new, let us know that margaritas were half of and only select tacos were $2 for taco Tuesday. We each ordered a margarita, which was deliciously only $6 each. For starters, we shared the "Los Tres Diaz" platter, which includes guacamole, elote and fish ceviche served with chips. Everything was fresh and flavorful and great way for two people to sample a bit of everything. As for the tacos, the happy hours election wasn't as appealing so I opted for the shrimp tacos. Instead, the order came with three good size tacos and although the rice and beans are available as an add-on they don't come with a meal. The highlight was definitely the mango pineapple, pico de gallo, and added so much flavor. Overall, we had a great experience. The food was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed. I'd definitely come back.

Also had the El Elote and these were not exactly my favorite version. There was a mix of several flavors. My main lunch was the Pescado Frito which I decided could actually be the best fish tacos I've ever had. Would definitely return for this dish. Needed a dessert so tried the Date Pudding. Expecting something resembling a pudding, was a little surprised that the dish was really a cake. Very tasty and definitely needed the ice cream on the side. Overall, was pleased with the offerings. Cost might have been a little steep for a casual lunch, but then again I did order several items.

They have karaoke every first Saturday of the month til midnight, and it was busy. The waiters at the restaurant almost didn't let us in because we were with our infant baby and the only side that was open was the bar and karaoke area that has slot machines. But luckily, one of the karaoke hosts recognized us and we were able to dine in and I was able to perform once! Our baby doesn't mind loud noises and fell asleep an hour into being there despite the hustle and bustle of Saturday night karaoke. While I was excited to perform and sing, I made sure to bring my appetite! When we arrived, we sat in the far back near the restrooms. It took a while for someone to take our order, so we flagged down one of the busboys, and he was wonderful. He brought us two orders of chips and salsa as we waited for the bartender to take our order. My husband and I shared the Campana Combo plate which was higher in price on the menu compared to their online website. The Campana Combo plate included a beef taco, beef chile relleno, chicken enchilada, and bistec a la mexicana with a side of rice and beans. We also ordered a sopapia as dessert! My husband is Mexican and he's told me about sopapias as an inside joke we have, but we didn't know they existed! It was a light, fluffy puff pastry drizzled with honey and came with a side of strawberries and jam. My husband also ordered two modelos with limes and I had a coke with two refills in between singing. The coke was a little flat. Altogether, the price was $45.37 for our meal. I am glad they were willing to let us dine in despite bringing our baby along. He's gotta come everywhere with us - we've got no other choices! Karaoke was very fun. Online it says every first Saturday of the month from 9-12am, so next time I'll try to come earlier! The karaoke spots fill up fast, and you've got to tell the host/DJ your song and name to get in line. One of the waiters, Peter, was a regular singer and he was wonderful to listen to! It was some of the tastiest Mexican food I've tried. Next time, I would love for the chile relleno to come on the side without sauce so I could taste the crispiness of the batter! Ambiance had some .....interesting characters who came out to watch, the singers were fun and sang a variety of music genres, and the crowd was supportive... lots of high fives and claps were given to me after I performed. We would definitely come back for the food and the karaoke, but they gotta keep letting us bring our baby, haha!
