Visited from out of town and found this spot on maps. Food was absolutely amazing and fresh. The workers were kind and provided fast and efficient service. Nice cozy spot I would come back to. 10/10! I have attached a photo of the menu provided for me as of November 2024

Fried fish with rice, beans, salad, and tortillas.

That was, by far, the best whole fried fish I've ever had in my life. Absolutely delicious. My family enjoyed everything. Great, friendly service also! This restaurant is a hidden gem in this small town.

Steak and chicken taco, chicken pupusa

This place was AMAZING! I was not expecting to find such delicious, authentic Mexican food in the middle of West Virginia. My friends and I were stopping for lunch on our drive home, and found this little store in the midst of chain restaurants. We decided to trust the good reviews and give it a try, and I am so thankful we did! This family owned restaurant has incredibly delicious food, and such friendly staff. Our food was out quickly and was such good quality. Highly recommend!! I got the steak and chicken tacos, and the chicken and cheese pupusa, and everything was amazing

    Cheese and pork parpusa.

We back for more and it is even better than before! This "hole-in-the-wall" (or in this case -trailer) should be in my town. I will eat there every day if it was. Mamma Emerita makes tamales, parpusas, tacos and a whole lot more with love just for you:) Come one. Find this place and feel the love.....and tacos...and parpusas.....and tamales.....and, well you get my point. Drive by Mickie D's, skip greasy Burger King and turn right after South Fork Pharmacy. Its right there on your left. Now....enjoy:)

Honduran dinner. Plantains, tortillas, steak, rice, beans, chorizo and eggs, and sauces for $13.

This place is legit. It's in a single wide on Main Street which says you are about to eat the real thing. The menu doesn't do a good job of reflecting all your options but a short talk at the counter fixes that. The counter person was very helpful and then told the cooks what I wanted in Spanish. Another good sign. The food was all delicious and I got enough for two meals for $13. I will be back. Just a warning they only take cash.

Chicken and cheese pupas and fried plantains. Yes!

As we passed by this small place today, we were taken aback by the appearance. We decided to go anyway as the food reviews were good. They did not disappoint. The chicken and cheese pupas was amazing. I also had fried plantains, because yum! My friend had a chicken taco and a bean and cheese pupas. She was pleased as well. Definitely a place to check out if you are in their area.

Hair in food. Can see it across the plastic cup.

Small little restaurant. Pupusas are so good. Tacos are good too, with homemade corn tortilla.

The wait was longer than expected, and the service was below average, largely because the restaurant appeared busy and understaffed. There were other frustrated patrons having a similar negative experience waiting around as well. That said, the food was so delicious that I was able to overlook the frustrating pickup experience and still give Gloria's top marks. I honestly can't recall having better pupusas anywhere. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were full, and each dish felt homemade. I'm still thinking about it days later. A genuine word of warning: if Gloria's is your first stop in Staunton, you may not feel much motivation to try anywhere else for the rest of your trip. It sets the bar that high

I love Salvadoran food, and I was visiting my mother in Staunton, so I knew we'd have to check it…read moreout! Since the weather was nice, we ate in the outdoor section. Didn't get an opportunity to see the indoor section of the restaurant. The server was very friendly, but they were very busy and it did affect speed of service. In terms of beverages, I ordered horchata because I always order horchata. I have yet to meet a horchata I didn't like, and this was no exception. Sweet and delicious. I ordered birria tacos and a loroco pupusa. The birria was tasty and savory, as to be expected. Like most people, I dip my tacos in the broth because it's delicious. The loroco pupusa was really cheesy, which is a plus for me. All in all, this was a great place and I look forward to going back to try other items on their menu.
