Ok well I am a California raise woman and I think I took some food for granted. The place is cute and relaxing. Ordering was simple enough. Prices seem kind of high on some of the items. Everything is made fresh though. The wait was a good 20 minutes at lunch. I got 2 pupusa and a tamale. One bean and cheese and one Jalapeño and chese pupusa. Then one bean and cheese tamale. The tamale has a tiny bit of bean on one end and a tiny bit of cheese on the other end. For $4 and no meat I expect more. The masa was green and light and I really enjoyed it. The pupusa were hot and fresh. Nice and light. However boring. One had all cheese and no jalapeño. The other was all bean no cheese. The cabbage had no flavor and no spice at all. Same for the salsa. I want a little crunch on my pupusa and a some spice in my cabbage or at least in the salsa. I won't be going back. But overall it was good just boring. read more

Walking in I was greeted by a friendly woman in the front. She gave me the menu and let me know that I was to order in the front. I had pupusas before but never with rice flour. I decided to get 2 revuelatas and 2 de chicharon con queso. The rice flour ones where not my favorite they where a bit to chewy for me the flavor was great but the texture was a no for me. Now the maiz one were incredible. I burned my mouth trying to eat them too fast. The curtido which is a mixture or cabbage onion and carrot all pickled gave the pupusa a refreshing taste along with a crunch giving it a different texture. The food did take a little while to come out about 15 to 20 minutes. But it was really fresh so I cannot complain. The venue was clean and very well organized. Minimal decorations. We are not asking for free items we come in to pay for food and a service . You don't just open a restaurant and think people will keep coming with that miserable attitude. Been passing by this restaurant and have been meaning to try it out along with all the other restaurants in this complex. First glance, easy to miss being where it is close to the various street junctions. Plus, all the restaurants here appear very quaint. Nonetheless, the people running the restaurant are very friendly and courteous. Entering the restaurant I was greeted and immediately serviced. Leaving the restaurant, I was thanked and asked to be seen again. As for the food I ordered, I had the Carne Asada and Pastelitos de Carne. Both were very delicious. We placed an order for 3 different people individually and when they gave us our food all of the orders were combined into one box with absolutely no way to tell the pupusas apart, they were all stacked together, not even one of those wax paper sheets to divide the orders. When we asked the restaurant why they gave the order to us this way, instead of apologizing or atleast trying to help us figure it out they responded rudely and said "don't you know what you ordered?" Disappointed. I love pupusas and the ones here had very little flavor, possibly because there wasn't much filling besides the cheese. Tried beef and loroco....barely any sign of loroco in that one and a very light sprinkle of beef in the other. So they were essentially expensive quesadillas. Usually a plain pupusa can be saved by using the salsa and curtido but this was not the case this time. Both of those condiments were bland as well. I live about five minutes away from the restaurant, it was my second time going and it's my last. I ordered three pupusas, small soup and a carne guisada to go. The soup was so salty I couldn't eat it. The pupusas were wrong we asked for cheese and we got loroco. I really like this place. I found it through my son in law who is from El Salvador. It is family owned and operated, and they are friendly to a "gringo" like myself. I enjoy their pupusas, especially the Revueltas, which have seasoned pork, cheese and refried beans in a thick tortilla. Today I got my new favorite meal which is Carne Deshilada: 2 scrambled eggs mixed with shredded beef, onion, tomatoes, bell pepper, and garlic. It is served with Casamiento, salad, fresh cheese and two tortillas. There is enough there that I can have it for two meals. It was not something I would have ordered from the description, but I tried my daughters' once and I was hooked!! I ordered from them and 40 minutes later got a call saying I was gonna be put on a no buisness list because I was supposedly taking to long to pick up my food. I called back after I picked up my food and was treated very rudely and hung up on. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!!!
