I got into my very first car accident at the end of September...while my insurance was getting everyone stories as to what happened, I was doing research of body shops. PUR Collision stood out the most. Alex, the owner, got back to me super fast with a quote and told me being my car in whenever. When my insurance verified I was not at fault, and was hit by an uninsured driver, they told me to pick my body shop. When I got there, Alex was great!! I was super nervous...I love my car...but Alex had this way of easing my mind and made me feel comfortable leaving my car with him. Spectacular work! Had a parking column scar a friend's fender and door. Dent was deep enough that the door snagged the fender whenever it was opened. I was on yelp looking for good repair shops near me and PUR collision was the only one that met my standards just by reading the reviews. I messaged them on yelp asking if they could repair my bumper which had 3 noticeable scratches and Alex gave me a quote within minutes ! When I took my car into the shop Alex greeted us and straight away went to look at the car. I expected to be without a car for at least a week but to my surprise he said he'd have it done in two days ! This saved me so much money because i didn't have to ride with Uber for long. When the car was ready, Alex sent us pictures of it and even worked with my schedule so I could pick up my car after I got out of work which was after hours for them. My car had a scratch from a previous incident which I didn't mind because it wasn't too big but Alex went ahead and fixed that one as well at no extra charge! My vehicle needed a part replaced and some other body work performed. Alex J. gave me the best cost estimate of all quotes that I received and when I brought the car in for a precise estimate he found that repainting would not be necessary, thereby saving me more money too. He could have easily stuck to the initial estimate and I would have been none the wiser, the guy is a good egg. Furthermore, the repairs were estimated to require 2-3 days but Alex J. called me by the end of the same day to pick up the car, and this was despite what is clearly a heavy workload (there were a lot of cars in various stages of repair at the shop) and a repair during the Xmas/NY holiday season. I was worried that there may have been compromises on quality in the result but I was very relieved to find my car repaired to an excellent finish. Being new to LA, I am glad to say that PUR is now my de facto auto body shop. I will be returning , hopefully not any time soon, and referring everyone to PUR and Alex J. I am new to the SoCal area from the Midwest and unfortunately I had my first fender bender in a parking lot damaging my bumper. Since I am new to the area, I was not familiar with where to take my car to. I managed to put a slight dent and paInt scratch on my new tesla and trie to convince myself that it was only a scratch,but I couldn't fool myself. I uploaded some photos to Yelp and they sent them to several shops for quotations. That was a smart move as the quotes ranged widely. One actually came to more than $2000!!! After reading the reviews of Pur Collision I chose them because they were the lowest bidder at $650. So I had to take the bus cross town ( worth it) to the valley. I scraped my side mirror a few weeks ago and was quoted an exorbitant amount by the car dealership for a replacement. I reached out to several body shops in my neighborhood through the Yelp app for competing quotes and Pur Collision Center was by far the lowest lowest quote. I went to the body shop but was nervous about the quality of work given the low price.
