This place transforms you to a little cafe somewhere other than fairfax! I've gone twice for work meetings and it's an amazing location from ambience to the service and the food. I love their post workout smoothie and can definitely tell how fresh everything is. My second time there our group's cashier was Tom and he was such a delight & truly made the experience! Very professional and wasn't rushing us as we were indecisive about our orders he even gave great suggestions! It's all open seating and the line can get long but moves rather quickly. Don't believe the hype. When this place first opened, my girlfriends and I were excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing from the start. We specifically came to enjoy the rooftop, only to find out it wasn't open. The manager apologized and offered us complimentary drinks, which we appreciated. However, the drinks were honestly some of the worst we've had. Since it was our first visit, we weren't familiar with the menu and simply asked if we could exchange them for something else. That's when things went downhill. The store manager came over and was incredibly rude. His response was essentially, "We already gave you free drinks. Sorry you don't like them." There was no effort to make things right or provide any level of customer service. We left disappointed and said we'd probably never return. Fast forward to the other day--I happened to be in the area and decided to give them a second chance. I ordered the PB Lover bowl and customized it by removing a few toppings. Somehow, I was charged an additional $2.00 for a small amount of granola, which I didn't even realize until after I left. When my order was ready, I asked for a little agave after the cashier had recommended it to add some sweetness. I was then told I'd have to pay extra for that as well. Seriously? As I drove home, I tasted the bowl, hoping it would at least redeem the experience. It didn't. It was bland, disappointing, and absolutely not worth the $18.65 I spent. Two visits. Two disappointing experiences. Poor customer service both times and food that simply didn't live up to the price or the hype. There are too many great places that value their customers and serve quality food for me to give this place a third chance. If you're looking for excellent customer service and food that's worth the money, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Grabbed a quick lunch here and was not disappointed! The decor was beautiful and despite it being busy, I was able to snag a seat at a bar counter. I got the poke wrap and thought it was flavorful and fresh! I enjoyed the dipping sauce.it came with, giving it a little punch of spice! I also got a sweet treat; the matcha pistachio cookie and it might have honestly been the best cookie I have ever had in my life. It was perfectly soft and SOOO tasty. Yesterday I went here for the first time after watching so many people on social media check this place out and when I say wow is an understatement. The ambiance was so amazing and it sweeps you away to Miami and make you feel like you're on a vacation. On top of that the food was so so delicious. I had the tomato bagel with the dill cream cheese and the cocoa Azul smoothie. My aunt had avocado toast and the hibiscus tea and we were not disappointed. They have this amazing rooftop area and it was closed due to staffing and just as we were about to leave they opened it up but before that one of their amazing employees, Mark (when you go make sure you ask for him and tip him well because he is the best) gave us a great tour of the rooftop. The interior was very new and clean. Very picture worthy with plants and bright lights. We wanted something light so we just got Thai chicken salad and new grass fed steak plate. You weren't really able to choose how you like the steak. The steak was kind of disappointing and sad looking. Not great but not bad. I'm very willing to pay for excellent food and drinks, but these are good, not excellent for the price. Wanted to see what all the hype was about so decided to try out this new spot in Mosaic! We went on a Saturday for brunch and it was pretty busy. A good thing to know in advance: this is a self-seating type of place but even on a busy Saturday we were able to get a spot outside within 10-15 min of arriving, just be ready to snag a table! You also have to order and pick up your food inside. For the food, we got the spicy tuna bowl. Super healthy and fresh ingredients but for $25 per bowl it felt pricy. I do want to point out that the service was great! They were quick to clean the tables and there was always someone friendly available to help or answer questions. I think it's a good spot to bring friends/family if you happen to be around the area but not something I would go out of my way to go to. read more

Pura Vida just opened up and with all the hype, we had to check it out. Newly renovated and gorgeous interior. Unfortunately, we cannot speak much on the upstairs as it was closed when we went (bummer). There was ample seating indoors and out but of course since it's incredibly hyped up currently, they were packed. The staff were super helpful and very accommodating. The service was fairly quick especially considering how busy it was. The food was gorgeous in presentation as were the drinks. However, for what it was and for the price, I found it to be lack luster. The food was a bit bland and while understandably, it is simple ingredients, I feel as though it can still be packed with flavor. I stopped by on a sunny Friday afternoon and this new spot was already packed to the gills with trendy women (and their equally trendy children) lunching and gossiping. We managed to get a table but when we took a look at the line we decided to place our orders online which was a smart choice! We were able to leisurely peruse their offerings while sitting, and the pickup time was no later than ten minutes. This place is incredibly efficient! The vibe is 10/10. Boho and beachy, with lots of comfy tables to sit at both inside and out. I didn't get to check out the rooftop, but I've been to it's past iterations and it's just a beautiful place to be in the late afternoon when the sun is about to set. Pura Vida is famous for their all day brunch but the tuna poke wrap was calling my name. It came out, fresh and beautiful but to be honest the rice was super flat and mushy and the flavor was extremely bland. I am usually anti sauce, but a little coconut aminos to dip and maybe a drizzle of sesame oil would have made this absolute perfection. My friend's chicken caesar wrap looked heavenly and will be definitely in my next dining rotation. My mango pineapple refresher with coconut water was also the perfect hydrating drink for a 90 degree day. Place was pricey for a pretty bland lunch but you paying for vibes. read more

I ordered my food and decided to grab a table. The woman who took my order was great, she let me take time to review the menu and also made sure to ask if I had any allergies. I ordered the Croissant Sandwich (removed tomatoes and added turkey bacon), cold brew and a slice of the zucchini banana bread. The food came out quickly. The Croissant Sandwich was great, the spicy aioli on the side was a great addition. The croissant was nice and flaky. The cold brew was also very good, I know people sometimes assume all cold brew is the same but I'd disagree. This was one of the better cold brews I've had. I was stuffed so I just tried a bite of the banana bread before getting it to go. It was good. There was a steady stream of people coming in, I imagine by lunch they'll be busy. They also have tons of outdoor seating (including a rooftop area) which will be great when the weather is good. I'm looking forward to coming back and grabbing lunch or a post-workout smoothie. I want to say Ima give them some grace since the manager said they just opened. I just was at the location in Miami while I was there for F1 so I was super excited to learn we were getting one in VA. Finally really nice waiter who was walking around kept checking on me and asking me if I got my food then she went downstairs for me a few times before telling me to go talk with the manager. She was super sweet and helpful I think her name was Key. When I got downstairs the manager was very a college egg and she kept my order again to refund it in my order and gave me a cocaine for free drink next time. I will give this guy another chance once they been open for a little bit longer. I went to Pura Vida Miami around ~9am. I ordered a Vanilla Iced Latte and their Breakfast Bagel to split with my mom, and my dad ordered a croissant. The service was okay- I'm aware it's a very new spot here so I'm okay with that, although they did bring out my fathers croissant around 10 minutes after me and my mom got our sandwich. The ambiance in there is very cute, it's modern and even has a rooftop bar. The food was very good overall, my dad even saying it's the best croissant he's ever had.
