    We came here on a whim but it was a pleasant surprise! We have a vegetarian friend in our group and she loved it - we all ended up ordering more Mac and cheese and queso (vegan never tasted so good)! :) The ambiance was so cute/flowery/positive vibes! The service and workers were all very nice too. *sesame noodles / corn & quinoa / smashed potatoes / mother earth bowl / chips & queso / sweet pot fries / mac & cheese / cauliflower risotto / thai chicken & shrimp bowl

    This was maybe the 10th time I've been here and I can't enough of the atmosphere in the restaurant. It's a great reflection of the friendly staff and furniture, paintings, and other interior designs. The food is always coming out fresh and tasteful. It's always a joy here

    I was intrigued by their website where it says they cater to all diets including vegan, vegetarian, paleo, keto, and gluten free, so I had to stop by. I ordered the chicken enchilada bowl. I was so pleased with my meal. It was absolutely delicious, very flavorful and the presentation was so lovely. I greeted upon entry, the young lady that took my order was kind and helpful, the restaurant itself is so cute, it really gives high vibes, I love the decor. I will be back.

    Absolutely outstanding! Came here on a whim because I had an appointment in the McLean area and got hungry for some lunch, so I decided to try out this place. Love it here - they have so many delicious hearty options that are also healthy. I decided to get the chicken yakisoba noodles and it was filling, nicely seasoned, and nutritious with the ample vegetables included in this dish. There is a parking garage right next door, so that helps with the headache of looking for parking. Check them out! Great place to go for a quick sit down bite.

    Fresh, fast, healthy and delicious fare! This venue has an adorable maximalist design esthetic which I loved! It's bustling and a great spot for lunch or an informal meeting. Service was friendly and polite, but there is inconsistencies in the order ready announcements and many are just placed on the shelf rather than called out which is confusing for consumers. The shelf looks like a pick up or door dash shelf and most orders are verbally announced which again makes that usage without a announcement confusing. I'd recommend choosing one or the other and informing folks at check out to keep their eyes peeled on the shelf for their order so the entry area doesn't fill up with people waiting on orders.

    Whenever I have to go into work I grab this for lunch and it makes my day! Super fresh ingredients, with salads bowls wraps and protein + side entrees. Ordering online is the best especially during lunch because it gets busy! Very colorful and light atmosphere with lots of seating.

    Delicious healthy dishes bursting with flavor, I really enjoy some of the new dishes on the menu like Mushroom Bolognese. Mushroom Bolognese (5/5) - The new vegetarian menu item hits with spot with zucchini noodles , chick peas, mushrooms and tofu "sausage" in marinara sauce. While I'm usually not a fan of zucchini noodles, surprisingly I really enjoyed the dish and everything blended well together and healthy too! Glow Bowl (5/5) - Mild spicy kick and hands-down my favorite dish with sweet potato noodles swimming in a creamy coconut curry sauce and packed with veggies - snap peas, mushrooms, bok choy, zucchini, onion, crunchy sunflower seeds, topped with cilantro. The roasted Tofu is a nice protein add-on that absorbs all the flavors in the bowl. Sweet potato noodles are prepared well and can be tricky to cook as I have feebly attempted! Love the fun healthy stir-fry dish as all the ingredients and flavors blend well together. Forbidden Rice (3/5) - Super spicy stirfry with a heavy dose of grains. While I love grains, they overpower the dish and would opt for a lighter pour of the red chili hoisin sauce. This dish doesn't fare well for delivery with saucy grains and soggy veggies. Mother Earth (4/5) - Healthy salad on a large bed of grains packed with veggies - avocado, arugula, cucumber, portobello mushroom, sweet potato. The dish is also overwhelmed by grains and falls short on flavor. There isn't enough pesto and spicy red pepper miso vinaigrette It's a bit bland and not my favorite delivery option. There's not enough space in the narrow deep-set to-go containers to mix around the toppings. The grains remain on the bottom and can't be easily blended into the bowl. Wider harvest bowl style containers would fair better. Sweet Potato Fries (4/5) - While they were tasty and enjoyed the small portion, I wish they were crispier. The stellar customer service goes above and beyond during the pandemic (shout-out to Mark, the manager and Riley, one of the staff members) and they made a custom delivery and gave me gift cards to comp for an incorrect order. Great service! Flower Child's got a variety of delicious dishes and a truly wonderful and dedicated staff! Love coming back!

    Everything was marked GF on the menu. It was nice to go somewhere without worrying. I had sweet potato fries and chicken slices with a side of fruit. Honestly it wasn't worth the money, but the food was good. The portion was small for the chicken. There wasn't anything else on the plate, no greens or any other vegetables. Just a few slices of grilled chicken. It surprised me to have it served that way. My husband had the turkey salad. There was a lot of cheese. It was good though. He's not a person that has allergies or anything to worry about. I'm glad he found something to eat. Usually it's the other way. They have only lemonade and tea to drink. No soda. Paper cup for free water. I was surprised at the amount of paper and plastic in the restaurant. The utensils were actually silverware. Plastic straws.

    Been several times to this location Flower Child. Always consistently good food that is healthy. It tastes clean but still tastes good, which is often a hard combination to hit! The quantity of food can vary greatly depending on what you order. Example - one of their seasonals, the Korean hot pot beef comes in the largest bowl ever with the food in the way bottom. At least fill it with more broth if you don't want to fill with food - it looked so sad. Parking in the garage can be validated.

    Not going to lie, I honestly didn't think this place would be worth the hype. I'm also very picky about buying "healthy food" I can make at home. This spot though! SO GOOD and I'll deff be going back! I really enjoyed everything I ordered. They have such great clean and filling meals. I ordered the Mother Earth bowl with chicken and a side of Mac & Cheese. My gf ordered the Italian chopped with steak. I'll give my food a 10/10. I really liked how all the flavors went together perfectly! I was full for hours after eating all that food. The portions were generous It was such a great lunch date hangout spot. Even work spot for meetings. It's a casual ambiance. The service was good. You only really interact with staff at the register but she was super helpful about the menu options considering we've never been.

    This place was gorgeous on the inside with a huge menu that all looked delicious! It was great option for my friend who was gluten free. The pricing for the size of food was incredible. I like that you had everything from salads, entrees with choices of sides, and then just regular entrees. Inside you had a nice option of sauces off to the side. The habanero sauce really added a great spice to my brussel sprouts and salmon. I love having affordable and healthy option right by my house! Can't wait to come back.

My wife couldn't stop talking about how buttery and delicious the fish was. To finish the evening, we ordered the 100-Year Port Flight featuring 10-, 20-, 30-, and 40-year ports. Vertical tastings are such a fun way to experience how a wine evolves over time. The 40-year was absolutely outstanding, and the 20-year was another favorite. The 10-year was enjoyable but still showed its youthful character compared to the older vintages. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between upscale and relaxed. The main dining room can feel a little tight when the restaurant is full, while the bar area has a few TVs for anyone wanting to catch a game. One thoughtful touch that stood out was the women's restroom being stocked with amenities like hair ties and hair clips. We noticed they also offer a tasting menu, and after this experience, that's already on our list for our next visit. They offer a prix-fixe menu that changes seasonally (?) for brunch and dinner. The ingredients here are high-quality and well prepared and cared for before serving. I've heard great things about Maple Ave from a friends, so I took my family here for dinner this past Wednesday. We really enjoyed the creativity of how the dishes were crafted and plated here and the execution was also phenomenal. This time around, it was 59.00 per person for a 4-course prix-fixe dinner (two appetizers, one entree, and one dessert). Since there were only a couple options per section, we were able to try all the options they had. FIRST: APPLE HAZELNUT SOUP Creamy, pale colored soup with a thicker consistency similar to butternut squash soup. It was lightly sweet, yet savory at the same time. There were some pickled apples and toasted hazelnuts delicately sprinkled on top that added a bit of a crunch. The soup was unique and we enjoyed it. FIRST: ROOTCAKE Between the rootcake and the apple hazelnut soup, the rootcake was my favorite. The vegetables were caramelized and made into a patty, topped generously with almonds with some umami aïoli and pimenton sauce. The rootcake was so good. Each bite was hearty and rich, and it's such a unique way to prepare vegetables. The sauce enhanced each bite and the almonds provided a nutty texture. I would recommend the rootcake as your first option. SECOND: CRISPY SQUASH NUGGETS I didn't think I would enjoy the crispy squash nuggets as much as I did. The roasted squash is breaded with panko crumbs, sitting in some dill yogurt sauce and topped with some raisins and radish. The squash were perfectly seasoned and crispy with a soft interior that left my taste buds wanting more. The dill yogurt sauce was a good complement. I'd definitely recommend this option if you're not a fan of mushrooms and/or you want something more crispy. SECOND: WILD MUSHROOM RISOTTO One of the best mushroom risottos I've ever had. It's rich and creamy, filled with truffle flavor. The shiitake mushrooms had a dry, crispy texture. The manchego shavings on top were a great plus. The squash was used for coloring and probably some flavoring? Not sure. The whole thing was really good and memorable. I'd definitely recommend! THIRD: SHRIMP I'm not a huge fan of shrimp, but my family loved it along with the citrus braised fennel. I was a fan of the creamy semolina, though! Overall, it wasn't for me, but that's more of a personal preference. THIRD: PORK CONFIT STEAK The pork they used was pork belly (?) and seared very nicely, topped with perfectly crispy potatoes, mangoes (?), brown butter sweet potato puree and chimi churri sauce. The pork belly melted in my mouth but as someone who's not the biggest fan of fatty pork, I wish it was a leaner cut. The potatoes were so good and went well with the sweet potato puree. Even though I didn't love the pork confit steak, I'd recommend this entree over the shrimp. FOURTH: MOCK FRIED "APPLE" PIE It was zucchini instead of apple and you can't even tell. I loved the crispy pie exterior which was lightly topped with cinnamon. The vanilla bean ice cream was my favorite as it was creamy and smooth. The dulce de leche and lavender honey were nice touches. Very nice way to end the meal. All the food here were so rich with lots of complex flavors. Each dish was so beautifully plated with many vibrant colors. We were quite full after all the food we ate. I would recommend coming here with another person to try all the options they offer here! The food here is unique and well-executed, and I'd be open to come back to try a different seasonal menu.

After seeing the list, we chose Randy's. Randy's is a Great American Restaurant, and I must say it's so good to go to a GAR with a menu different from the others. In the past, I've written about how one can go to Coastal Flats and get pretty much the same menu as, for example, Jackson's. We made a reservation for 5 p.m. on a Saturday. We arrived about a half hour early, so we asked if they could seat us right then and there. The people at the host stand said "yes". We were seated at a 4-top booth. Thus, there was plenty of room. The booths, which have mohair seat coverings, were a shade of green and quite attractive. The environment clearly says "upscale steakhouse." Our server was prompt in getting to us and asked if we wanted some water. We chose tap water. He gave us time to look over the menu. We decided to not have any appetizers as we didn't want to get too full. To drink, my husband got a glass of Catena Malbec while I got an Espresso Martini. Our server asked if we wanted some bread. We said "yes". The bread basket had 2 flaky, buttery croissants, plus a slice of white bread and a slice with raisins. For our main course, we both got the 7 oz. filet mignon cooked medium rare. We chose to try two sides. One side was "roasted asparagus" which consists of: "poached egg, parmesan (we asked for no cheese and our request was honored), truffled Bernaise aioli". The second side was "Honey roasted organic rainbow carrots," which were "dusted with candied walnuts". As for the food --- We both thought our steaks were properly cooked, However, my husband said his was on the dry side while mine was just right. We both really enjoyed the side dishes. The asparagus was unconventional, to be sure. Never did I have a poached egg with asparagus. I ate the egg, and it was properly cooked. Looking back, I should have thought to put some salt on it as there was none. The truffled sauce was creamy and added nice flavor. The carrots, to me anyway, were a pleasant surprise. The honey added a nice flavor along with the candied walnuts. They, too, were cooked perfectly. As for being "rainbow" carrots, most were orange, with some white and yellow ones. We had some room for dessert, so we decided to share "Tressa's crispy meringue filled with lemon curd and finished with passionfruit coulis". Since it was our anniversary dinner, a dollop of whipped cream was added to the plate. In that dollop was a lit candle, which was a nice touch. I found the coulis to be on the tart side. The lemon curd was mildly flavored. Service was excellent, though dessert took a while ,to arrive. All in all, a nice splurge and we're glad we came here. (Well...we didn't care for the traffic on Leesburg Pike, but the dinner made it worth the trip).

The atmosphere: The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with a warm and inviting ambiance. There is plenty of spacious booth seating, which made for a comfortable dining experience. The food: My table started with the Crispy Fried Point Judith Calamari to share. I have a peanut and tree nut allergy and didn't initially realize that the dish included pesto. The staff promptly remade the appetizer without the pesto, which I appreciated. However, the interaction left me feeling a bit like an inconvenience based on the tone of the response. For my entrée, I ordered the Patsy's 5 Star Reserve Rib Eye. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was absolutely delicious. I also added a side of the House Steak Sauce, and it paired wonderfully with the steak. I highly recommend trying it if you're someone who enjoys dipping sauces with your steak! The service: Overall, the service was pleasant. The staff was kind, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout the meal. While there were a few minor hiccups, I enjoyed my visit and would return to try more of the menu.

I roamed the floor for a bit and found it had multiple areas and a large bar section. The vibe is really good. Multiple seating arrangements, with banquets and tables. Our party of 4 sat at a table in a center area and still felt comfortable and not overly exposed. We were able to converse well and not be drowned out by traffic or noise. The service was outstanding and very professional. Attentive but not overbearing. We ordered drinks, appetizers, main course, and dessert. Everything was delicious and presentation was wonderful. We will definitely be returning soon!
