My wife and I had been researching installing artificial grass for 4 years and the estimates we received were always over our budget. We finally narrowed it down to Purchase Green because sales rep Mark Shumate was to not only able to meet our budget needs but also provide a great turf selection, warranties for both labor and material, interest-free installment payments and a substantial list of prior customer installations. Initially, we chose a particular turf we liked from the samples and went to visit prior installations in Covina, Monrovia and Glendora. However, we checked out some other installations that were in the area that used other turf and that was how we ended choosing another turf. It makes a difference when you see a sample on a large scale. Mark was always patient and very responsive to discuss issues and provide samples. Mark was even able to give us a better deal when I offered to have installations done at two houses. The installation crew was supervised by Oscar Flores. His team completed the turf installations for both houses in one day. After looking at the installs the next day, I noticed a 'run' imperfection at one house. Oscar returned to inspect the problem and shortly after, a second installation was scheduled as the material and labor warranty covered the imperfect turf. I was very happy that it was a drama free issue and taken care of without problems. Coordinating all the scheduling, contract documentation and warranty issues at the office was Destinee Rowden. Our story starts out with getting a quote from the YELP Machine, a total of 7 quotes were obtained for my front yard. Dimensions were given as context and gopher holes mentioned. The ones that didn't win the bid were quick wham-bam thank you ma'am text messages about price. Yes I know - it's important but I don't need to sniff a bulls ass to know I'm getting a filet, at the same token I'm not some woke slob that expects to pay hamburger price for prime rib ... capeesh? Service = education is key, know what you're getting and why. Mark came out and double checked my measurements, also was kind enough to take out the paver measurements and offer to get another one that I hijacked for another project. Walked me thru the steps of what the install involves, cost break down and also provided that military discount. Now here's where Mark's experience shines thru - he knows the value of the hard earned dollar and won't bend you over. Asks the right questions depending on the application; how much traffic, why get it and the possible need for the gopher wire (worth a google). Samples were laid out, I got schooled in the art of synthetic grass, we got straight to the point and he was available on phone when I had questions later. Service # 2 = like I said that part about education, Oscar the foreman and his crew showed up at 7:55am ready to conquer that one nasty yard on the block and elevate me back to good graces in the neighborhood. Some of the weeds came back and laughed after I tried to push them back with the weed whacker. Oscar the botanist ... I mean the foreman gave me a 10 minute course on these weeds, how to control, what to look for and how to destroy them (my back yard is a jungle ready for napalm at this point). He gave me the option to add a lime and salt treatment that will definitely give these stubborn weeds a kick in the nuts and stunt their growth. Not mandatory, but for what I want this project for, we ran the numbers and it was acceptable. Oscar was kind enough to allow my neighbor to have all the softball sized rocks cultivated from my front yard as well as let me take a little gopher wire for a flower bed off to the side. Service # 3 = the crew operated like a well oiled machine, communicated my one off needs here/there and they were able to accommodate. Cleanup was on par and left my place looking like a pic filtered real estate listing. Special shoutout to Eric at the back office for making the paperwork process so easy to handle as well. No complaints, other than you'll probably rabbit hole lawn ornaments on Amazon or google. read more

I installed one of purchase greens material (California native). In only 2 years this product has matted tangled discolored and was not revivable with additional infill and brushing. I contacted the store manager Mark and they by no means wanted to stand by their product under warranty. They told me this is normal that their products do this. 3 years later I've now spend another 10k replacing the turf from purchase green. I had 3 companies come out and say this material should be warranted. My suggestion is to use tiger turf or AGL you will be much happier with the product and warranty. We had our yard done about a year and a half ago. Our salesman was Mark, although the price was way more than I wanted to spend we did get a higher quality turf. Everything went smoothly during installation, it Looks amazing! Only issue is we have tons of weeds growing up along all the edges! When I pull them out, the grass lifts and I'm worried that my almost $5000 yard is going to be destroyed by weeds. (It's not a large yard either just around some pavers and the pool) so that's a lot of money for an L shape. Forward to today, I called and spoke to Angela, I believe that was her name, I told her my situation and I was concerned that pulling the weeds was going to destroy my expensive lawn and she told me-" just spray it with round up?!?!?" I'm not a hippy and am not all organic per-say but I definitely don't spray "round up" where my kids play. It's known to cause cancer and all kinds of things in children. So, I asked her if she could recommend a spray that won't harm my children? (This is their yard too, they play out here more than anyone) she said... "ummm no since it's not a product we sell I just think you should use Round up! If this is a normal occurrence with artificial turf, why do these people not offer solutions? Is that a way to solve issues just throw poison on it? Even at the risk of your children's health? I'm pretty disappointed that she couldn't offer me any other solutions beside a known cancer causing agent to get rid of the weeds, which was the original reason we bought artificial turf to begin with! In conclusion, while it does look pretty, if you don't want weeds or to use poison in your yard or have to purchase turf bomb every time your dogs pee on the grass I'd recommend real grass. Save the money and the headache of pulling the weeds and possibly destroying your very very expensive turf! read more

Our experience with Purchase Green was all positive. We were shown a number of samples in our initial meeting and kept 6 samples to compare how they looked over a few days. We originally decided on the Fescue Supreme, but after looking at the samples over a number of days decided to switch to Bluegrass Supreme because we noticed the Fescue had a shine at certain times of the day. We were having concrete and landscaping work done on our front and rear yards which were supposed to be completed a couple weeks prior to Purchase Green arriving. However, due to weather, the concrete/landscape contractor wasn't able to finish by the time Purchase Green showed up. Purchase Green was great. They were able to work around the other contractor, and the results turned out great. I was not home, I had to work....but much to my delight when I got home later that day, the project was done, completely cleaned up and I now have a beautiful backyard of "grass". I can't believe it's been over 4 years since installing our beautiful turf, but here we are and still beautiful! Our original sod died during drought restrictions years ago which eventually led us to install artificial turf. This latest round of drought restrictions makes me thankful we made this decision 4 years ago. I don't have to worry about mowing it, fertilizing it, or watering it. My experience with this San Dimas location was TERRIBLE!! I was so excited about putting in a putting green, I have wanted this for so long Just to have some person who doesn't know anything about customer service ruin the excitement. I spent 2500.00 dollars on materials. They put so many disclaimers on their product im not counting on them to make good on anything. Im also still waiting on a refund on product I never used or opened but returned more than five days ago and im having to do all the follow up.
