Half of the bays are closed. They don't have an air dry system. The setting on their foam brush is all wrong, not enough soap or enough air The spot free rinse doesn't work. And there's junkie hip-hop music being played through the most crackly, garbage, low budget speakers available. Not impressed!! read more

Really not worth the money. The same dirt is on after the wash as before the wash. Since there really is no competition around, they get away with substandard equipment. Better to go into a bay, feed quarters into the machine, and wash it yourself. read more

I went to this car wash recently and the water pressure has been reduced to the point it barely got the dust off. They has increased the price to $4.00 for three minutes from $2.50. It is no longer owned by Leonard Purdy and the new owner only cares about the money. Waste of money!!! read more

I had a client that had an accident in my work vehicle so I went to clean it and paid $4.50 for vacuum and spa phone cleaner and a spot phone cleaner did not work. Not posted anywhere that the Spot free doesn't work. Hoses leak all over the place. Worst car wash I've been too. Kids hang out there to smoke pot and have there music full of blast that leave your ears ringing. Might as well wash our cars at home. These people running this place take no pride in this place SAD!!! read more

4 of the 6 stalls here have something wrong with them. Certain products don't work or the bill/coin acceptor are out of order. And almost every single time I visit, 100% of the spot free wash option never works so you waste your money on a wash if you don't have rags to dry up right away. The vacuums are hit or miss. Of the years I've been coming here, the vacuum was only strong less than 10 times. The workers walk around aimlessly and I'm sure they know that the stall you're using is faulty but they turn a blind eye. Not worth the $5 minimum. I see why there's so many mobile detail services in this town, because the car washes here are garbage. read more

Went through the automatic car wash today and paid the 12 bucks for the best wash. My jeep afterwards didn't even look like I washed it at all. I would of been better off just washing it myself. Nobody was there otherwise I would have definitely asked for a refund. Go to sparkle or Barstow car wash and spend a few bucks for a real car wash and at least then they actually clean the inside as well. read more

Just got a storage from them a few days ago, told them we would be moving stuff on the weekend got the uhaul loaded and went to move our first load. And we can't because they left a lock on it they close at 2pm on Sundays and closed for Labor Day today. All because they forgot to do one small job and remove their lock! read more

We stopped here after a 4-month trip in our travel trailer. It's not easy to find bays large enough for a trailer but they have a 14' bay with stairs on both sides which is perfect. Also, since the vacuums are back in and under shelters, Carlo lent us his shop vac and a loooong extension cord so we could vacuum the inside. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Great place! I use to always take my Jeep here wash my car. I liked the location because it's away from Barstow and it doesn't get all jam packed like most car wash places do. The staff here is great. They make sure kids don't park stupidly in the vacuum areas with their ratty cars. All of their machines are always working and stocked. read more

The new management does not value my business, so I am taking it elsewhere. The selling point for me in getting the 20x20 unit at this facility was the late gate access to the unit and the old management was aware of that. Well, today the new management took away my late access with no justification or forewarning, that in my book is unacceptable. Rude, inconsiderate, and liars are 3 words I would use to describe Purdy Storage. Approximately 5 days ago I called and spoke to a woman at Purdy Storage about storing a travel trailer there. I explained to the woman that I wanted to store a trailer that was not in my name. I told her I had all of the registration and insurance info. The trailer belonged to my mother and she would be the alternate person on the agreement. The woman reassured me that they would be able to accommodate my needs. I actually spoke to her a few times that day. I asked the same questions each time I spoke to her. I made the mistake of not getting her name. Fast forward to today. I drove 2 hours in LA traffic to Purdy storage only to be told that they would not allow me to store my trailer there. The woman at the desk was extremely rude. She snapped at my wife for asking where the restroom was. She acted like we should have automatically known where it was. I expressed my frustration and it was clear in my voice I was not very happy. She snapped at me and told me not to yell at her. I had not even begun to yell. That's when the conversation took a nose dive. She dismissed me with a sarcastic " Have a nice day sir " and I replied with some choice cuss words. She had already made up her mind. No sweet talking would have helped. Should I have cussed? No probably not. But after being lied to and driving 2 hrs to Barstow and now looking at driving another 2 hrs while accomplishing nothing, I was a bit pissed. So my advice to anyone reading this is to get what they say in writing if you really are gonna use this place. I highly advise you go elsewhere. I found storage in Barstow for 1 dollar more per month then Purdy and it's covered. Good Luck read more

Clean stalls and vacuums worked great. Spot remover was a nice extra although a little pricey.

Ye Been warned! I loved this place when it first opened. The machines worked and everything was great. The last year (since I star the s going back) it's a 50/50... more like 25/75 chance that the machines won't be working properly. Vacuums are always clogged, the self wash stations are always out of product (for example the tri foam is almost alway just watery bubbles and will take so much time to even come out) also the spotless wash feature doesn't work majority of the time, so after spending 20 minutes washing your car, you get home and it's covered in hard water spots. Also the clientele here is odd... you'll be cleaning out the inside of your car and all of a sudden you get a huge whiff of weed or cigarette smoke. So you leave with your car smelling like trash. You'd think a car wash would be non smoking but not here!! Not sure if these are the original owners but it's just sad. Also the tips of the vacuums are Always coming off mid vacuum. And the icing on the cake. I did the auto drive thru car wash and the sprayer must've been corroded or blocked but instead of a fan of water, it was a line of water and it sprayed a line into my car paint. Had to make an insurance claim to fix it. Don't go here. Trust me. read more
