Pure Barre Southwest has absolutely changed my life. As an adult, I never found a workout that could stick with until I started barre in March 2025. I started really slow with Align classes until I built up confidence and now I go 3/4 times a week. If you are considering a new fitness routine, I cannot recommend them enough. The community is welcoming, the instructors are knowledgeable and helpful, and the location is ideal. I specifically recommend Taylor, Val, Olivia and Amy as the most amazing instructors. I've been to Pure Barre before but not this location! I really loved the instructor Carrie's teaching method! Very welcoming and she even remembered each attendees name and encouraged up during class. You can tell there's a strong community here. You just show up and they provide all the equipment you need. Align Barre gave a good stretch and included some yoga which was nice! Classic barre feels more focused on core and intense. Located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. For class you do need grip socks fyi! read more

I joined this Pure Barre location in January after promising myself I would work on being more active this year. The foundations class with Carrie was great to ease me into common motions and postures used throughout the classes! I signed up for an 8 class per month membership. It's been great and I'm coming up on my 4th month. All the instructors have been wonderful, but i find myself returning to Karen and Carrie's classes most often. The only bummer is occasionally certain classes fill up before I can commit, but generally I'm able to make it work. Everyone's body is different and so everyone's experience will be different - but here is my honest experience and opinion on Pure Barre, and specifically the SW Austin location: I started Pure Barre, and barre in general, at the end of January of 2023. I know so many people say this, but it's true, I was instantly hooked. Maybe it's the muscles you didn't know you had waking up for the first time. Maybe it's the challenge and the way you feel yourself getting stronger. Maybe it's the amazing community you automatically become a part of. Whatever the reason, I was hooked. Three months, 55 classes, and 14 pounds down later, I can't imagine my life without barre now. I feel strong, my clothes fit better, I feel like I have more life in me. Also, my sleep has drastically improved - and yes, I fully attribute that to adding regular exercise to my routine. For 50 minutes you disconnect from the outside world, and in the way, it's also therapy for the mind. Workouts heavily emphasize a mind-body connection. Yes, the price is a big pricey. But I justify it as you're really paying for something that actually works, that you enjoy, and for an amazing fitness coach. Hannah, Karen, Carrie, Taylor, Sam, Jamie, Alyssa - they will push you and kick your butt in the most loving way, you'll have no choice but to grow! In the gentlest way but with the highest sense of urgency, you need to give Pure Barre a chance with a free introductory class - I promise it'll change you for the best. read more

I love love love taking Taylor's Empower classes! If you need a real challenge that's incredibly difficult but incredibly satisfying take Empower with Taylor as often as you can. She changes up the choreo, pushes you past your limit, has amazing playlists, and is honestly just an amazing person and teacher. She's definitely a pro at what she does :D read more

I have loved everything about the experience at Pure Barre. I signed up with Rachel, who is such a gem to work with -- and an amazing instructor (her classes will really get you in shape!). I hadn't found a gym or class based workout I liked and wanted to stick with, so I'm so happy and relieved to have found "my place". :) I look forward to my classes each week, the app makes it super easy to schedule, and I feel great even being 5 months pregnant.
