I had my first class yesterday. I loved it! The workout was so effective and I'm sore today :) Gianna was our instructor. She was professional, super sweet, genuine, and had the best energy to keep us going when it got tough! When I walked in, I wasn't sure where to go but she greeted me right away and explained the process. It was such a wonderful experience! I'm thoroughly impressed with Gianna and I'll be back! I absolutely love this studio! The owners and every instructor here make you feel welcomed instantly and everyone knows your name! I had done barre classes years ago and can tell you this studio really goes above and beyond. It is such a good feeling when you are in a group class setting and you can tell the instructors really care about your form and well-being. All the classes are great but I especially love Vanessa's classes and always try to sneak out of work to do her afternoon classes when I can! I love that all the classes I have taken here have a perfect balance of working your whole body with stretching in between. They also play great music which keeps it fun and motivating! After having a baby I was nervous to get back into a workout routine and I am so glad that I found this studio! I love their focus on correcting my form when I'm off so I get the best out of my workout. It's like having a personal trainer! Pure Barre is my favorite barre workout that I've done in the area so far! Their sign outside that says something along the lines of "We aren't scared to be the most challenging bar workout" is pure truth because you WILL get a workout in these classes! Every class is so difficult - your muscles will be shaking, in a good way! I really liked going to the 5:45 am class because, ending at 6:45, I had the perfect amount of time to get ready, have a good breakfast, and make it to work. Plus, the feeling of accomplishment after these classes is like nothing else - especially in the morning! I feel like I can accomplish anything afterwards. Pure Barre is one of the best workouts I have ever done. I have always had a terrible habit of starting a new workout, keeping up with it for a few months and then falling off the wagon. I can proudly say I have nixed that habit- as I am about to hit my 500th class, all thanks to the awesome staff/owners at PB North Scottsdale, Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Chandler. I have spent time at all 4 studios and have nothing but good things to say. The ass-kicking workout isn't the only reason I have stuck around for so long, the owners (Veronica and Marirose who are extremely involved- you'll see them around all the time), instructors and barretenders make every class a blast. They run great promotions/sales frequently. I have made friends at the studios and I always look forward to seeing them in class. I really don't know what I would do without PB! P.S- if you are looking for a killer cardio workout- try the Platform class (just launched last month)...so hard/fun/awesome all at the same time. Make sure to sign up online, classes fill up really quickly. P.S.S- I read the 1 star reviews below and here is my take... It seems as though the two ladies came in EXPECTING A) a free class and B) wanting to use 1 expired coupon for 2 people. I think they are upset because they didn't get their way, and posting a bad review makes them feel better. If they had approached the situation differently I bet it would have been a better outcome. Veronica is seriously the best, so nice and personable (I have no idea how she remembers everyone's name). You are always greeted by a warm smiling face. Embarrassingly, I found this place on my way to lunch at... Panda Express. As I was eating my delicious, greasy bowl of fried rice, I made a promise to myself to come back later that day and take a Pure Barre class. And, I'm happy to say that's exactly what I did and it was a great decision! If you have never done Barre before, like myself, prepare yourself for FULL BODY soreness. Every muscle in my body ached for the next three days, even though I consider myself a moderately fit person. Barre class will find all those little muscles that don't usually get worked out and push you to use all of them. I always track my heart rate by using a chest strap whenever I work out in order to collect data on how intensely my body is working (or not). I didn't expect much from the 'small movement' Barre philosophy, but I'm happy to say that my heart rate and calories burned were on par with a rigorous spin class. All in all, I loved my experience here and can't wait to go back next time I'm in the area. read more

Just left Pure Barre it was a great class. However the owner has no clue how to run a business. I had a flyer that I received on my door to try the class for 2 weeks unlimited for $35. I made my friend come with with me because it's always better to workout with a partner for motivation. They decided that only 1 of us could use it and the other had to pay $25 for 1 class. After all of this we both decided we will not be back, so paid the $25 each. I'm not sure why they would treat 2 new customers this way and before this happened I had planned on signing up. Now I will try out Barre 3 and see if they treat their potential customers better. read more

A few months ago, I signed up for a free week of barre classes at Pure Barre in North Scottsdale. What a great introduction to barre without having to make a commitment! I had never done any type of barre class before, so I was a little intimidated. The instructor was super nice and put me at ease right away. I love a challenging workout, and this did not disappoint! Every part of the body is worked, many times to the point of exhaustion. The exercises can easily be modified if you can't keep up with the reps or hold a certain position for long. With every class, my stamina increased and now I'm proud to say I can keep up with everything. I've really noticed the changes in my muscle tone and definition. All of the instructors are incredible. I love the music they play and their cute boutique with barre clothes. I also like the variety of people who attend classes....you'll find all ages and body types. It's mostly women who attend, but I've seen guys there on a couple occasions. I've become a barre addict! I go 4-5 days a week now and ended up signing up for a full year package. The North Scottsdale location is linked with the Scottsdale location, so you can take classes at either location. I cannot say enough great things about barre! Just try it! read more
