Gorgeous. I just stopped in here and absolutely adored this coffeeshop. First of all, the latte and coffee we ordered were made to perfection. Second, the music was great. Their choices created a beautiful atmosphere. Third, the baristas were friendly and very kind. Fourth, the coffee shop is just stunning. The espresso is super smooth and full-bodied for the cappuccino. The baristas are friendly and the naturally-lit double-room seating area is super comfortable. While passing through Rapid City I decided to check out this coffee shop for an americano and wifi to get a little work done. The service was friendly. The coffee was stellar; I believe they roast in house. The decor was really cool/inviting. The coffee shop was plenty spacious with lots of outlets and tables; a great place for a chat or getting work done. read more

We stopped in on our way through town and was glad to see a place with Nitro cold brew. Although they only had one nitro on tap I thought the price was appropriate and the coffee was good. They had other coffee options that I didn't try. Very neat interior and would have liked to stay a while. read more

Far and away the best latte I've found in USA. Love the fit out of the store, and the friendly and informative staff. So good I'm going back for another. Edit to add: We detoured back to there later in the day to get another one. The staff remembered what I had ordered earlier in the day. Googled Organic Coffee in Rapid City, SD while vacationing from Oregon and Google led me here to Pure Bean. I was so excited to find Organic Coffee after going a week without and this place did not disappoint. Google said they were open from 8-8pm but we stopped In close to 5pm if not a little over and they were prepping to close (they are having a hard d time getting the internet to acknowledge their new hours) but the gentleman behind the counter and the young female working were very welcoming and had no problems serving my husband and I our coffee. I had a Mocha with no syrup and my husband had a caramel Latte extra sweet...not only were the coffee's AMAZING, the conversation and customer service was equally AMAZING!! If we ever make it back to South Dakota, we will be seeing you again!! Amazing place to relax and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and out of this world baked good. I had a coconut lime scone which was amazing but the cinnamon roll and crumb cake looked terrific. I really like this place a lot, if you're a coffee drinker, you'll find something to love here. I've never had an issue with connectivity or speed of the WiFi here. And the baristas are always very pleasant and willing to chat with you (could be bad if that's not your personality). The fresh baked treats are often delicious and unique. I always get a lavender cold brew and it's always delicious! I wish there were more food options so if I need something more than a pastry, I have options. And the chairs to sit in aren't always comfortable if you're planning on being there a while to study/chat/hang out. I love the ambiance in there though, so warm and inviting. read more

We just stopped in to "a coffee store near me" at Pure Bean as we head out for a 4 hour drive. The coffee is fantastic. We purchased the Columbia roast and enjoyed the smoothness of taste. Very friendly staff and loved the style of "coffee" decor. If I lived in Rapid City I'd meet friends here for sure. read more

As frequent travelers to the area, it was a delight to come across this newer coffee house. I had a medium mocha, single-shot, half-flavor. Fresh and perfectly made by a young, friendly redhead. The house-made blueberry cake was delicious. My husband had a large sugar-free vanilla bean latte and the mache scone; he gives a 5 star rating, too. holy crap the coffee is good better than dunn bros better than dixon definitely better than star bucks I'm just saying star bucks sucks if i had to choose my favorite coffee shops in rapid .1 dunn bros .2 dixon .3 and definitely pure bean is my favorite i only have one complaint the music i mean sometimes the music is good enough but most of the time it doesn't have very good quality it might just be me but i feel like the musicians are just hipsters that don't care about anything but the fans i mean at least you should get somebody that actually sing and plays from the bottom of there heart i love the coffee not a huge of the music sir wish i could give you five stars but sense i have one complaint i have to give you for sorry I'm a big fan and that concludes my review keep on making people happy with your coffee read more

LOVE their organic coffee. LOVE their décor. LOVE that the owners give 20% of their profit to charity and that it is free-trade. What's not to love!? The barista mentioned that the owners built out the interior themselves. Beautiful barn wood, with an industrial flair. I finally put two and two together, the new coffee shop up at the base also uses their espresso beans- I am so thankful it opened! There was a definite NEED for great quality and tasty coffee at the base. Glad this local roaster provides the area with such a delicious air-roasted coffee. It doesn't wreck my stomach with all the acid many other cheaper coffees will do. Try their signature drink, the cardigan, it is so good. read more

My favorite coffee shop in the Black Hills--I think I've been waiting for a place like this to open since I moved here. As all the other reviewers have said, their coffee is amazing, their flavors are creative, and the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The Cardigan is a must-try. The atmosphere is relaxed, and it's a great place to go if you need to spend a couple quiet hours on the computer. I have done both work and vacation planning here, and I have never had trouble finding a peaceful spot next to an outlet. I haven't been in another coffee shop here since they opened! read more
