All I…read morewanted for my birthday over the weekend of July 26th was a great massage, and my partner gifted us both the 50-minute Couples Signature Lomilomi, adding on the $30 deep-tissue upgrade for each of us. Here are the highlights from our visit: -Pre-Treatment Amenities: We were advised to arrive an hour early to enjoy the spa facilities, which set the tone for total relaxation. Between the soothing outdoor hydrotherapy garden, peaceful lounge spaces, infused waters, and warm atmosphere, taking full advantage of the amenities is a must. -The Massage Experience: Adding the deep tissue upgrade to the Signature Lomilomi massage was worth every penny. The massage therapists were incredible at working out every bit of tension, leaving us feeling completely rejuvenated. -Thoughtful Touch: Selecting a smooth intention stone (mine was "Happiness") at the start was such a beautiful, grounded detail that made the experience extra memorable. If you're celebrating a special occasion or just need deep relaxation while staying at Aulani, treat yourself to Laniwai Spa--it is worth every cent and I highly recommended!

The attendant was extremely good at giving a massage treatment. He was friendly and helpful and was a great conversation list. The hour prior to the massage treatment, guests are invited to the hydrotherapy area. There are snacks and drinks, hydrotherapy pools, and showers, and I enjoyed every bit of it before I had the massage.

My rating is between 4-5 stars. I'd normally round up but I think the cons are worth noting…read more Pros: My daughters and I enjoyed a spa day and all of our technicians were terrific. The spa lap pool was great too as many spas don't have a good size pool, if at all. This was a smaller lap pool but still a huge plus. Cons: The spa amenities (women's jacuzzi, sauna, locker room) were still quite dated. I had hoped the recent updates would have updated the amenities to the four seasons caliber but sadly, no. The women's jacuzzi area is dark with only the natural lighting from the ceiling skylights which were quite dirty. The sauna was old and not spa clean, which is also a disappointment. The showers were also showing their age with chipped tiles, rust and general deferred maintenance which was surprising. The spa pool had 5 chaise lounges so I'm not sure how they accommodate spa guests by the pool on busier days. There's no attendant on the spa pool floor, towels were piled on the floor and the bathroom was unkempt. Overall, I'd choose the Aulani spa next door, which was surprisingly superior and tranquil. The only thing lacking at the Aulani spa was a spa pool.

Love me a spa day!! It was my first time at Naupaka on a Saturday during Mother's Day weekend…read more Overall, it was quite relaxing. I used almost all amenities excluding the pool and cold plunge. The snacks they offer were very limited compared to other spas I've been to, there were apples, matcha coconut, and chocolate dates. They offered water and a pineapple chamomile tea drink, that's about it. The attendant was a little overbearing, as I was there to relax and unwind, she kept asking if I was okay or needed anything and when I did ask, she made it seem like she was too busy. The service was too short, I feel like I didn't get 50 minutes worth of a massage but it is what it is. I spent lots of time in the garden and it's what I absolutely needed, so zen and so with nature. Would I come back? Sure, but I do want to try the Laniwai spa first, as I've heard great things.

The grounds are stunning, with gorgeous tropical plants & flowers everywhere you look. Around sunset, 3 whippoorwills showed up and started singing to each other in the trees. I swear it was like they put on a show for us! Overall it was a magical experience. Cool citrus water was provided. Bring your own towels or rent one for $5. It seemed the cafe was not operating while we were there, so I picked up dinner at a restaurant a few minutes down the road while my sweetheart got his massage. We each had a wonderful 1-hour massage with Lila Lara. She is fantastic! That was the best massage of my life, an integration of Swedish massage, lomi lomi, and craniosacral. Ask them to book you with her when you schedule a massage! I wish we had arrived earlier in the day and booked 1.5 hours for massages. There were a few other people at the pool and a caretaker who checked in with us frequently. This was a great way to get relaxed at the start of our vacation! My pics don't do it justice but you can trust the pics from the website and social media pages - it IS that gorgeous.
