I forgot the name of what I ordered, but it was a chicken cutlet sandwich with cheese, lettuce, mayo, bacon, red onions and avocado -- and it was so good! The portion size was generous, and $14 felt like a great value. I'll definitely stop by again next time I'm in the area.

Half the time he's on a power trip and refuses to make basic shit, half the time he makes up absurd charges for nothing, and 100% of the time he's incredibly rude. Pretty sure he also drinks on the job. At this point I don't know why I bother stepping in here. Everything is over priced and the service at night is consistently awful. The daytime people are fine but the ambience after dark is even darker. Also, some of these sandwich names are so dated it's embarrassing, if not outright offensive. Kanye Interrupt? My Girlfriend Is A Whore? I'd feel humiliated just ordering these. In fact, at this point, I assume being rude and embarrassing customers is their big kink. They should clear the sandwich board and half the staff because this place gets more miserable every time I bother giving them a chance.

I have many of my friends who moved down south so when they see I'm at a viral spot, I'm glad to tell them about my experience. Anthony & Son Panini Shoppe is a typical New York deli but a little more bougie with TVs playing the podcast on a loop. I liked the large menu board explaining all of the sandwiches. I'm going to order my sandwich and head back to Ft Hamilton. There are lots of great sandwich choices, it's my first time here so my order will be be the FDNY: A huge hero stuffed with fresh fried chicken cutlets, melted mozzarella and the famous vodka sauce on garlic bread. Total banger! I'm glad I ordered the sandwich, chicken cutlet parm is my go to sandwich. The next day, I see a video with Sabino making the FDNY with a guy from Italy. They stuffed the FDNY sandwich with pepperoni? The cashier at the register, I explained to her my order. Mr Anthony stepped up and I said, I saw the sandwich online? He said oh yeah, he instructs the deli man to make the sandwich with the extra ingredients. I take a picture and send it to my cousins husband in Myrtle Beach. He's going nuts because we were both drooling when they made it. Anthony & Son Panini Shoppe, thanks for the great sandwich the other day!

The space is relatively small, with a line inside and outside and a few tables outside. The length of the line and wait time varies based on the time of day and if you go on a weekday vs weekend. Go early if you don't want them to sell out of anything or purposely go a little later if you want one of their lunch sandwiches on focaccia. I have had the tomato and garlic focaccia twice now and each time it has been exceptional. Minor critique, the slices of garlic could be a bit smaller. I also had the shakshuka focaccia which is divine and I would absolutely recommend both. I need to come back to try their sandwiches as well. I am not a sweets person, but everyone I know loves their pastries. Getting someone a gif tcard here makes for a great gift.

I'm usually more of a savory girlie but all the sweet items we tried were great, especially the rhubarb croissant and the earl grey morning bun. I really enjoyed the focaccia sandwiches (smoked salmon and pea/mint/feta were elite) and the artichoke green garlic slice. The flavor of the sesame stirato was excellent but the bread itself was a tad too chewy for the filling we got with it (tuna salad), so that style probably works better with the jambon beurre. Will definitely be on the rotation whenever I'm in the city -- would love to try some of their seasonal/limited edition items one day, though not sure if I have it in me to brave the lines that can form on the weekends, lol! We'll see :)

This is the main reason why I get food from here every once in a blue moon, like when they offer the buy one get one free special. That's when I really take advantage. The unique seating area is charming, though limited, and don't get me wrong, the wraps that I've tried so far were delicious! They're just not $14 - $17 delicious lol. The staff here are friendly and seem cool. They make the wraps right in front of you and it's quite a cool process to watch. Each wrap is made from a homemade dough, heated on a hot iron dome and then filled with fresh and one of a kind ingredients. All of the wraps are rich with antioxidants and made with natural ingredients. My favorites: Dire Wolf (fried chicken wrapped in ginger dough, lamb bacon, melted cheddar, green papaya slaw, spicy pickled shika peppers, wolf ketchup) The Beast (grilled steak wrapped in turmeric dough, bbq crunch, blue cheese, marinated green olives, cilantro, red chili mayo) They have opened several locations over the years since I first tried them. Because of their unique wrap concept I can understand why. There's definitely a niche for them in this super tough NYC restaurant business.
