Jenna was fantastic! I brought pictures to show her an idea of what I was looking for & she took it from there, checking in along the way. The shampoo was perfection; they have a private shampoo room with tables that are super comfortable. I declined the mini facial, as I was on my lunch break from work, but it sounded amazing! My stylist did a great job of explaining everything & educating me on how to recreate the style at home. I've gotten so many compliments...even my husband noticed the new look :) I look forward to my next visit! read more

Alison at the Deerfield location is amazing! I had a HORRIBLE experience at Mitchell's in west Chester- the colorist overprocessed and over heated my highlights and my hair was just breaking off. I called pure concepts the next morning and Alison was able to fit me in, she fixed my botched hair and I'm so grateful. I didn't have any hope that we could make it any better but she was able to. I am giving this salon a 2 because the manager, Jill was super courteous and professional but my stylist deserves a -5. It could take an entire decade to grow out the highlight damage! I seriously feel like my life is ruined. I have been seeing Ashley for several years. I used to love the way she did my hair but the last two times have been very disappointing. This last time she put my highlights on and disappeared. It was not busy in the salon, I finally went looking for her. She washed my hair then cut it. I said I wanted a long angled bob and I had been trying to grow out my bangs for six months so please don't cut them very short. She gave me a horrible, ugly layered cut. I hate layers, I always have you would think she would remember. I was so disgusting with the cut that I didn't pay much attention to my split, burnt ends. I went back the next day to get rid of the layers, she had to cut it really short to do so. I went home and kept looking at it and I could not even tell it was angled. My boyfriend said it didn't look angled, it just looked crooked so I went back again. I thanked her because my hair was finally an angled bob after 3 attempts to cut it. I thought finally I would be happy but in the mean time I noticed lots of hair on my bathroom floor, in the sink and a real yellow color to my hair. That is because she fried it to a crisp with the highlights! This time she had to cut it even shorter to give me an angle. I went to show my sister my new haircut and the first thing she noticed were the fried, split ends. So I was there three times Ashley never once mentioned it was fried, never apologized, never offered a conditioning treatment. She took my money and pretended like it didn't happen! How unprofessional. She has never contacted me to apologize after 7 years of doing my hair. It makes me sick. So now my hair is about 4 inches shorter than I wanted it. The highlights look like tarnished brass. My ends are fried. I had to have my bangs cut after 6 months of trying to grow them out, because the ends were destroyed. I HATE my hair more than you could ever imagine. I complained to the manager and she did refund my money, she also gave me some damage repair products and recommended a different stylists. She also gave me a gift card for a free haircut. She did everything she could but honestly all I really want is my old hair back. I still have not decided if I will return to see the other stylist or not. I don't have great feelings towards a salon that employs such incompetent stylists. read more

I've gone to a variety of hair salons over the years, but this was one of the best experiences I've had so far! I scheduled just a haircut, but they offered a complimentary back rub and facial along with it. Instead of sitting awkwardly in a chair when you get your hair washed, they have you lay down on a padded table (it reminds me of a massage table) so you can relax and not strain your neck. Shenae was my stylist and she did a great job with my hair. She was friendly and social, and she gave me several samples to take home and didn't try to sell me a ton of Aveda products (even though I like the brand and already had some of their products at home). I mentioned to them that one of my friends had referred me, so they gave me a discount on top of an already reasonable price. Overall a great experience, and you can be sure I will be back! read more

I've always enjoyed my experience at this salon. The front desk people are always friendly and welcoming. They offer you a beverage and then off you go to get your hairs chopped away! This was my first time working with Mike and he did a fantastic job on my hair! I showed him an "idea" and he went with it. Had no fear of cutting off 8 inches right off the bat! I LOVE my new do and I received a LOT of complements on it. And many said it made me look younger which I was surprised by because I always thought longer hair made people look younger. Suffice it to say, I will be heading back to Mike to maintain my youthful look! : ) read more

Their prices are reasonable and when I booked online they had a 20% discount on both services. They are following COVID precautions and I felt like everyone was spaced out well throughout the salon. Mike is fantastic! I had about six inches cut off my hair. He took his time until it was perfectly shaped and styled. I enjoyed my experience here and I love the products he used. (My favorite is the Pure Abundance....the one that looks like a powder, and gives your hair tons of texture and body.) I also thoroughly enjoyed the mini facial and mini massage. Pure concept is an local Aveda salon. It offers a variety of treatments all of which they do using their all natural products. I have seen Hannah for colors, cuts, styles and waxes and she does an amazing job. I have friends that go to Felicia and Mike both of which do great on my friends hair. This place sucks, I tried haircut with top tier stylist and not satisfied with layered hair cut. Because guess what I got straight cut and my hair does fall on my face it's disgusting. I am literally when I look my face in mirror with that haircut. When I asked hair stylist to fix it. Instead of helping he said hair looks pretty and he has another appointment coming so can't help. At that time I gave 7inches of my hair to hair donation. No receipt for donation, where (donation company) exactly they used for. -Next time I tried to use aveda coupon to buy shampoo. Front desk lady said store is privately owned and cannot accept aveda coupons. Then why they even have a name from aveda??? -Another time I have asked them do you take walk-ins for eyebrow waxing. While I was talking to front desk lady. Another lady came and said " I will try to get hair off, hope no hair left on your face. Even any hair left I don't help after time is over. ". Bad front desk attitude, professionals under perform who do services inside. - I would never go again to this store. I would look some place else. Only reason I go is because of mike hair stylist and he is busy 100% of time even advance booking. So no point of going. And also they never add your Aveda membership to any purchases. You literally have to call Aveda customer support and get it. So it takes 2 months to complete process of earning points than just type name & membership ID. I have been seeing Lauren for over a year now and she is phenomenal!! I went blonde with her from a natural brunette and I just did an all over color to a dark brown and I am obsessed with it. I had my hair colored once before and the person didn't do a great job, but Lauren is the best! My hair grows out so natural-looking regardless of the color and she does an amazing job every time. She is very personable and I love coming in to see her. If you want a new hair stylist or colorist, go see her! She does amazing balayage and did a great job with all over color. She listens well and I usually show her pictures from pinterest and she gets me very close to what I want every time! She also does a great job with waxing eye brows. She will ask questions throughout to be sure she is getting EXACTLY what you want and it is so appreciated. Highly highly recommend her! read more

I happened upon this salon after I moved nearby. Allison does such a great job on my blonde highlights and low lights It has grown out naturally and I'm not suffering quarantine coif! The front desk is always so friendly and helpful. I never wait, it's very chill , and incredible supply of products. I was very impressed by this salon. I got my hair and make-up done here for my second wedding reception in Cincinnati. I thought that Caitlin (sp?) did a great job on both counts. I was very impressed that she did such a great job on my eye shadow. Let's face it, applying eye make-up for Asian eyes can be difficult. My make-up was understated and pretty. Caitlin also did a wonderful job with my updo. I was out the door and ready to go in two and a half hours. I really want to recommend this salon, they do great work and the stylists are very friendly. The make-up application and updo were as good as any I've had in LA or NYC. Didn't realize it until I left the building but Lauren absolutely screwed up my hair. The cut was so horrible and way shorter than I anticipated. She spent about 5 minutes styling it and literally did the opposite of what I asked for. Wish I could go back and get a refund and take my tip back. Will not be visiting again, they do a better job at the school. read more

Super unprofessional. I was on hold forever (about 10 minutes total), talked to 3 different people who told me to please hold until I just asked if there were any appointments on Saturday before they could put me on hold again and they said "nope completely booked" and just hung up. So rude and a total waste of time! A few years ago I tried to schedule an appointment here and I thought it was a fluke when they scheduled someone over me and just sent me home with nothing. I thought I was going to a stylist that I had had great experience with. Not only is my hair cut unevenly and choppy, too short for my desires, but I paid $200 for a partial two color highlight (which is an extra cost of I think $22), toner (which was $20) and some other things which were extra which at other salons and of every other salon I have ever been to were not included in my reservation. So what did I pay $137 for? A haircut that is choppy, uneven and a not even a full partial highlight? My back of my head has no highlighted hair. I can't believe this! read more

I like this salon. The mini facial and mini massage is great before you get your hair cut... it really makes you feel like you're getting a good deal. I like the style of the salon open and homey feeling. They have chairs that you can lay down in while they wash your hair.. while this may feel awkward at first it really helps to not cram your head into the sink. I will be going back- but FYI you can not leave a tip on a credit card. I did not know this and my only option was to come back up, mail it in, or give the tip on my return visit. That was the only thing I didn't like... especially because it was unexpected. read more
