Just a few short years ago I found a young Laurie Gibbons Coop to cut my hair. I have a head full of very curly hair, and it's not easy to cut. I was immediately impressed by her focus and professionalism and engaging personality. She always listens to what I'm thinking in terms of my hair, and has always made her recommendations accordingly. She bright, astute and funny, and treats her clients with appreciation and respect. As a client for well over a decade I have always appreciated her talent as well as the small things Laurie does, like going out of her way to accommodate my hectic schedule at times. The receptionist is extremely RUDE. Numerous times when I've called to make an appointment for myself or daughter she cuts you off mid sentence, hangs up without saying "good bye" or "thank you". We've been very happy with our stylists but when there's audible sighing, eye rolling at checkout (I wanted to pay cash) it's not acceptable and I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

This salon is a wonderful place to relax & get pampered by mom-judgmental, friendly stylist who are extremely competent to meet all of your hair, nails, & skin needs. I stumbled into this place years ago -when I needed a hair color fix for my own wedding. Why did I think I could do it myself with Clairol? After an hour of freaking out, using Dawn and Prell, and trying to strip it out myself , I called Trendz because I had heard Jeanne was the best for color. I was hoping she was also the best at removing coloring! I went in with my hair a dark brunette - 2 weeks before my wedding. She got me in that day, and stayed after her last appointment on a Saturday. It took a couple hours, but she was able to get it back to the natural color. And even cut my fiancee's hair (complimentary) while I was sitting with the chemicals. The shop is in a wonderful central location and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. It is such a treat to go there - also very reasonably priced. High end salon work, but at a fair price. Recently renovated, and great selection of products to buy. read more

Been coming here since I was 14- from my first High School dance to my wedding, Trendz has been doing my hair! My stylist left last year but all the ladies here are so talented that I still come here and am always happy with my cut and color. Most of the ladies that work here have been working here for years and years which is nice- it's good to know you'll see the same faces every time. Petal facial by Bleu. 1/2 hour of pampering including a superb shoulder rub. I'm definitely going to make this a regular habit (every OTHER month maybe since it is $50 + tip - reasonable but still something to save up for.) very relaxing and my face looks terrific after - no makeup even. soooo laid back when I walk out. She doesn't do a whole lot of analyzing your skin for this facial since purpose is relaxation primarily. I do think it would be extra extra good if she did that first - what I'm used to with facials. Good hair style, poor front desk/reception. When I arrived I was not greeted or acknowledged in any way by the receptionist. The stylist found me and brought me to a chair for an initial consult. The receptionist then ran over and interrupted our conversation without any "excuse me" and said "She needs to pay now, I have a birthday party to attend." I went to the desk with a credit card, and again stood there WAITING. The receptionist ignored me (not even a "hold on a minute" or a nod which would have sufficed) while she made an appointment for one other customer. Finally I was standing there for so long, the stylist said, "let me shampoo your hair." So I followed the stylist to the sink. Then as I was getting my hair shampooed, the receptionist ran over for my credit card, which was then across the room and in my bag. I was under the water so I said "you have to wait until after my shampoo." Receptionist was unhappy with my response and strode away. When I approached the desk for the 3rd time (this time with wet hair, just out of the shampoo), I offered my credit card and the receptionist said snippily, "I'll wait til the end." Okay, her choice. But ... as I was getting my hair blow dried, the receptionist swished by and said loudly "Now I'm late and I MISSED my 2 year old stepdaughters CAKE and she called me CRYING." Huh? I'd literally offered my credit card to her and she'd turned it down. I was on time to an appointment I booked a week in advance and had already approached the desk 3x without so much as a Hello from the receptionist. It was adolescent and unpleasant. Hair stylist did a decent job, but based on this drama I really wanted nothing of, I cannot recommend this salon. read more

So, the main reason I go to Trendz,, is because that's where my stylist works. I've been going to Lisa for years and followed her when she moved to Trendz. It actually worked out well for me, because it is very close to my house. Sore. The salon is in a convenient location and is a very clean and attractive facility. The prices are a more than where I used to go, but it's definitely more upscale and so is the clientele. I've also had my nails done here and think the price was pretty reasonable and the service excellent. I would definitely recommend Trendz, but more so, I recommend Lisa...she's fabulous! read more

i have nothing negative to say but the atmosphere isn't spectacular. i followed my stylist here from another salon. i will go back because i like her and there is nothing wrong with the salon but not wowed. they had many magazines, they offer free coffee and water and everyone was friendly. read more
