Just get your costums on Amazon or something with a better return policy than this company. I got a costum that I didn't need anymore when it arrived, and when I tried to return it, I found out that I also had to ship it back with my own money. So not only did I pay $14.50 on shipping to get the item (which won't be refunded), if I decide ship it back I will have to not only pay another shipping fee but also a 20% restocking fee. It's crazy that I'll be out 80% of what I spent if I give the item back. So here's a lesson, check return polices before buying anything online. read more

Front desk says you must purchase items on their site prior for pick up (1-2 days wait). Because of inaccurate information on this page (see my note and photo), I drove to the warehouse with hopes of providing a costume number (mentioned in previous reviews) so that I can view the costume prior to purchase. I wanted to avoid the hassle of coming and back forth and be completely comfortable with the item. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Fortunately, I am SO excited that I found this place because it is pretty close to where I live and the selection/prices are amazing! I came to this warehouse looking for last minute masks for myself & my friends for Yelp's Masquerade Ball. It is super convenient because they have a website, where you can browse beforehand and take note of the inventory number of the item you want. They have a great selection of masquerade masks (tip: females - child size fits better! and it is cheaper!) for very affordable prices. The staff was super friendly and didn't mind me being picky with the masks and answered all my questions with patience. Easy parking in private lot, the warehouse is actually named PureSelections (so don't look for the front to say purecostumes! I circled around a bit looking for the place). You can call ahead if you know what you want, and they' can have it ready for you when you arrive. Accepts all credit cards (including AmEx). I was told that I have to order online and if the order is placed before 2pm, they would be ready for same day pick up after 3pm. I called and was told that perhaps they'll make pickup available once we get closer to halloween but not giaranteed. When i called, the costume i was looking at was $60 which was 3 weeks before halloween, i check this week ( week and a half before halloween) and they raised the price to $80? And shipping still ranges from $17-$51 with no pickup available. I usually make my own costume but I am a frequent buyer of wigs. I cannot make wigs and hair is what helps make a costume. Of course not trying on the wigs, but clothes. The staff were really nice at my bewilderment bc there were no costumes displayed and they explained the process to me... Makes sense. They have a lot of stuff. They were so nice and helped me look for wigs. HOW TO ORDER: 1. Go to their website. 2. Pick out the costumes/stuff you want/like. 3. I found cute Halloween costumes on Pure Costumes's website, and I was reassured that they were my perfect costumes when I saw them in person. I decided to check out the Pure Costumes warehouse because my fellow Yelpers had indicated that they were allowed to try on costumes here. However, there is not enough space for fitting rooms anymore because the entire warehouse is packed with endless costumes and boxes. Also, there is no longer a makeshift tent with bulletin boards full of costume photos for customers to choose. I was lucky that I had printed out pictures with item numbers to hand to the friendly salesperson/manager. Although I couldn't try on the costumes, the salesperson/manager let me feel the material and see the accessories that accompanied the costumes. Pure Costumes has a nice selection of--none other than costumes. Two weekends before Halloween, I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and the warehouse was not overly crowded. Parking was available at its own private lot and out on the street. This warehouse carries wigs and accessories, kids', men's, women's and plus-sized costumes. Staff was on hand with wireless powered iPads underneath the makeshift tent in the parking lot of the warehouse with bulletin boards full of photos of costumes the vendor offers. They were available to answer questions about costumes and sizes in stock and was available to set you up to try on 3 costumes at a time in clean makeshift dressing rooms with mirrors in each stall. Once you give them the three item numbers and sizes of what you're looking for, you wait in the warehouse for them to call your name so you can try on each costume one at a time. If you like what you tried on, tell them to save it for you. Otherwise, they'll stock it back in the warehouse. They also have costumes in its respective bags on sale right at the entrance to the warehouse. I considered some $15 costumes but opted for the ones posted on bulletin boards thanks to a better fit. Price tags are comparable to competitor's prices. This company accepts credit cards. It was overall a good experience. I'm also all for supporting mom 'n pop family run businesses so long as they provide quality products and services. Let's just say I walked out with TWO costumes and a 10% discount if you check-in on Yelp/Foursquare. I think I'll be returning next year! Needed a last minute mask for Yelp's Masquerade Ball. You can browse their catalog online and then call in to see if they have it in stock. If they do, you can pick it up within 10 minutes at their warehouse. Saves the shipping costs if you live local. And pricing is not bad too. Quality of the mask was really good. This is my 2nd time here and the first was 5 years ago. Day before Halloween I went to a local Spirit Halloween costume store....the items looked like they had been picked through thoroughly. Customer service was also nil because there were too many people in the store. I decided to stop by Pure Costumes Halloween day. I searched their website and picked out 2 costumes. You can't tell if the costumes are in stock unless you select the size then it tells you it's unavailable. Otherwise if the website shows it's available they will have it in stock. They do a great job keeping current inventory. They will hold up to 2 costumes the day you call and put it back in inventory if you don't show by the end of the day. I showed up at 10am. It's in an industry area with maybe 12 parking spaces and some street parking. About 4 parking spaces were blocked due to picture displays of all their costumes. No costumes were left out for people to grab and try on. I went into the building and told them I had 2 items on hold. They located it quickly and sent me into the restroom to try one item at a time on. Not too many people trying on stuff so I don't really know how many rooms they had reserved for it. The packaging on both costumes were intact and brand new. I took 1 of the 2 costumes to the register and received 10% off for checking in on Yelp (helped with the taxes). Prices for my costume was actually $10 less than online at Party City or Spirit Halloween as well. They even gave me a nice reusable bag with their logo for purchasing. This place certainly does have a huge selection and great customer service. They greet you immediately when you walk up to the warehouse and instruct you on what to do. Basically, there are posters of their costumes collection outside of the warehouse for you to browse, and then you go inside with the costume information. After they grab the costume for you, you can try it on! Do costume stores typically let you try out these things? I have no idea. Because it's a warehouse and seems to do most of its business online, it's not TOO packed with customers, which is nice...especially if you hate kids, like I do. HAHA :D Lastly, I noticed they were kind of lacking in the accessories department, but after inquiry I learned that it's because most of their costume packages come with everything you need. BEWARE OF "FREE" SHIPPING! I purchased a costume from the website, only to change my mind and go with the 'Elf' theme. They didn't carry the costume I wanted so I had to return rather than exchange. I followed the return instructions and realized I was being charge a fee, on top of paying return shipping out of pocket. This is the email I sent customer support a week ago with no response. I think a week is fair time so now I want to share with potential online shoppers. To whom it may concern: I just wanted to express my disappointment with your return policy. I happened to order my costume on November 26, after receiving an invitation to a Santa Party. As it turned out, Monday November 26 was "Cyber Monday" when your site was offering Free Shipping - I didn't ask for it and didn't go out of my way to find a coupon or discount code. I gladly would have paid for shipping as I pay for it with every online purchase other than Zappos and Amazon. Now, because I changed my mind on the costume, I am responsible for the return shipping AND being charged a 20% restocking fee. I'm used to being charged the return shipping fee (I believe it's usually around $6.25 or so they take out of your refund) out of my return, but have never experienced this double "fee" structure. I am aware that your website clearly states the return policy, but like most customers, am not anticipating the return of the item and therefore do not preemptively read the return policy. I just wanted to contact you before posting this, as I feel you should have the ability to respond before receiving negative feedback. My lesson is learned and I will do my part with my customer review to ensure others don't make my mistake. I find your 4.99 flat rate shipping to be a far more appealing offer than free shipping with a penalty and suggest sticking with that and ditching your "free shipping" promotion. These people are crooks. I ordered a costume before Christmas and received on January 10th. The costume didn't fit (was too big). I returned it on January 14th. A few days after, I received an email from the company telling me that they received the costume and that : "upon inspection, it was determined that the costume has been worn" and that: "The costume had numerous dirty marks on it". They sent me pictures of "the costume" with the supposedly marks that were done by us. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. ABSOLUTELY UNBELIVEABLE. The pictures were not pictures of the costume we ordered (and returned). They took pictures of another / older damaged costume and alleged it was ours. Moreover, they let me know that if I wanted that "costume" to be returned to me (since they can't accept the return) I would have to pay for the shipping (lol). I wrote 2 emails and asked that somebody (a manager) in charge get back to me. I haven't received any response yet. I have complained to my credit card company. Of course, I won't (never) order anything else from that company. oh and, I had no choice but rate one star before sending my review. In fact they do deserve 0 star. read more

Went here on the same day as I went to Halloween Club in Santa Fe (LA) and Costume Castle in Lake Forest (OC). The staff was quite friendly and this is pretty much their new storefront and warehouse for online shipping with a large, clean bathroom for dressing. Their prices were much lower than anyone elses and the quality of the costumes was even better than it looked online. Call ahead to let them know what you want to try on from the website and they'll even have it waiting for you.
