Instead of replacing all the windows around the house like all the window selling people are telling us, Rob offered to fix the windows for a much better pricing. We are so happy with the result we asked them to remodel our three bathrooms. Again, their quote was better than the other 8 companies we compared with. Their timing and flexibility was better as well! Throughout the process of bathroom remodeling, they were extremely helpful, accommodating and easy to work with. From picking tiles and helping us with the pickup (usually pretty expensive), to going out of their ways to seal cracks for us on the wall and hanging paintings for my mom. They even offered to walk my dog when they were working with us. They are excellent at what they do. See images for the before and after of the bathrooms. We love our 3 bathrooms now. They were able to accommodate everything we asked them too. Including changing old electric outlets, adding a shower in the guest bathroom, and switching the vent to a heated vent. They even helped to fix my kitchen sink that a plumber failed after trying for 3 days! They are also honest people. I did notice a cracked window and Rob immediately ordered a new one and covered the cost. So they do honor their warranty on their work. A major beam in our sun room was screwed in incorrectly by Roberts people. The beam fell from the ceiling hitting another contractor. Thank god the contractor wasn't injured.

An evaluation card was sent to me to be completed. I wore on the card how upset I was that a cleanup fee was charged and I did the clean. On May 14th I received a $25 dollar gift card since my evaluation was pulled for the month. I immediately sent the card back indicating I didn't want the card due to the charged cleanup fee. Today I received a call from the man who wrote the contract and he indicated that he made a mistake, that the contract should have stated completion not cleanup. He then told me if I talked to anyone about this and told them I was charged a clean up fee when my son an I did the cleanup I would be "telling a FIB". In closing, I wish I could give 0 stars, I do not recommend this company.

A trailer was sent the third day to remove a few pieces of drywall. When I have had major work done hawking away trash was included in cost, not a separate cleanup fee. Furthermore, debris was placed behind my garbage bin so my son would have to clean it up and place it in my garbage bin. Garbage bags were left in my bathroom when the work day was complete, my son had to throw those out into our garbage bin. I had to sweep and clean the bathroom at night. The final day I washed down the bathtub, the walls surrounding the tub. They did absolutely no cleanup. Once again, in the breakdown of payments it specifically states "CLEANUP $800. To have my integrity impugned by the man who wrote the contract (he admitted he used the wrong word" and to be called a fibber if I call this a cleanup fee is beyond belief. I did receive an apology from the owner for the way the situation was handled by their employee but, that doesn't resolve the fact that I paid $800 for a task that wasn't done.

It's not the direction in which we pass to see it. The windows were installed in October while my father-in-law was in Hospice. Admittedly, it was not our biggest priority to scrutinize the craftsmanship and quality of the install. In March, I discovered exposed wood, unprimed, I was not aware they installed. I looked at the install directions and it clearly says primed. I called and they were able to send somebody out April 9. The person they sent out, said he would note the problems, including one of the boards that clearly also should have been replaced and I would hear from someone within two at the latest three weeks. Today is May 7, and I had not heard from anyone from Wallside. I called and spoke with a customer representative who pulled up the order and said let me speak to a supervisor. She came back and indicated the primed was referencing the interior boards and not the exterior boards and the only place those if necessary. They were clearly in need of replacement when the order was placed. I noted if that were the case, at minimum, they should have noted they had to replace the boards on the outside and that they were not primed so we could've had someone address the matter before leaving the wood exposed the entire winter season. Her response was the sales person should have gone over this. She noted he wrote in one the contract the stops on the inside are primed, but may not match the existing interior, if available. There is nothing I can find specifically in the contract addressing the exterior boards. A reasonable person would assume a window company replacing windows would replace rotted around the window as it part of the structure integrity of the window and sill. The demeanor of the company representative was dismissive and defensive. The first time I called, I was told the supervisor was in a meeting and that they would have to get back to me. They did not, and I called the second time before they sent someone else to make the assessment. I would highly recommend that you consider looking at other companies before using Wallside Windows.

Chris from Main Street was quick to respond and we set up an on-site consult for later in the week. I knew which windows (4 of them) I wanted replaced since an Anderson Renewal guy had come out separately to inspect & provide a quote. Chris from Main Street was extremely kind, helpful, and upfront. I chose them ultimately because of this pleasant meeting, urgency for the replacement, and fair price. He was my only point of contact the whole job which was nice and he was on top of communicating things throughout the whole process. We also have siding being replaced so he communicated with my other contractor to coordinate timing. Pricing was very reasonable compared to Renewal but more expensive than a DIY vinyl install because of the window quality. I wanted a window that would last and was willing to pay more. The Anderson 100 series installed was literally half the cost of what Renewal had quoted me (I believe they quoted the 300 series) but are very high quality windows regardless and we really like them. There are some minor aesthetic defects from the manufacturing of the windows (pictured here) but they can be trimmed off very easily and aren't a concern. The installer Dre came in with Dan as support and they did a beautiful job. I had plenty of notice beforehand and they finished the job exactly as estimated (about 6 hours) after cleaning up very nicely. All in all, I thought Main Street Windows had a competitive price, I appreciated their recommendation for the product, they did a great job communicating, and the windows look great.

Deyonker Window and Door, did our smaller house windows and large bedroom windows back about 11…read moreyears ago, they were terrific, so we knew we could trust them, and a few years later, they did our door wall on our walk out, so now, we had them do our large picture front window at our home, Dan came out and gave us the estimate, he then came out a second time to double check measurements, take a deposit, then they ordered the window from the factory and approximately 4 months later they were here to install it. This was a custom order, thats why it took so long. My other windows didnt take this long, they were in stock. As you can see from the pictures its is very large. They came with a very large crew and had it done in about 7 hours. This included the custom molding that they cut on site and put on, all we had to do was paint it. The crew was very polite and respectful, they laid out tarps before they even started, and they brought in and used an air compressor that was so quiet i could talk right next to it. Mark and some of the crew had been here before on our previous install. This to me indicates a company who not only keeps employees who do good work, but gives us customers an excellent job.
