A special shoutout to Ethan, the store manager, who has been my go-to person since he fitted me for my first pair of beginner skates last winter. I recently returned to upgrade into performance skates, and he once again made the process thorough, honest, and completely pressure-free. He used the Bauer FitLab scan as a starting point, had me compare multiple models and fits, listened carefully to my feedback, and helped me land on a pair of Bauer Fly40s that felt absolutely perfect. He also advised me not to add unnecessary profiling right away so I could first get used to the new setup--exactly the kind of honest guidance that builds long-term trust. I've been wanting to stop by into this store for awhile now and I just wanted to say that my time in the store was very pleasant. The staff was more than friendly and very helpful. I'm very new to all this and have been pretty nervous about visiting, but I left more than happy. Any questions I had were answered without judgement and I appreciate that. We were so excited when we learned that Pure Hockey would open a store in this area. There are not too many hockey stores in this area, so we could only buy online or from very limited selections. I purchased from Pure Hockey online before, so I expected that it would be a big hockey store. I was a bit disappointed when I realized that it wasn't big as I had expected, but I was very happy to see a brand new store with a decent selection of hockey gear. It's a very clean store. They have areas for us to try on gear. They have a very cool machine to scan the feet and tell you what kind of skates would fit. Both my kids were able to find their best fitted skates. We also purchased new helmets, and the staff was very patient to let us try every helmet and helped us adjust to the right fit. Very good customer service! We came here during the Grand Opening, so we got some good discount. Without any discount, the price is pretty high. This is a reason why I have to give them only 4 stars. I feel that I probably will still go back to online store to get cheaper deals. read more

I bought a pair of hockey skates from Pure Hockey online but they didn't fit, so we brought them here to exchange them for a different pair. The staff at the store was great! They were able to return the skates I bought online without any issues, and helped me find the right pair in person. The store has a good variety of gear. We looked mainly just at skates since that's all I needed. They have a very cool tool that you stand on and it measures your feet to help figure out your skate size and width. My feet are slightly different sizes and can be tricky to fit, but they were super patient and tried on a few different skates and sizes until we found one that I was comfortable with. They were also able to bake the skates right there for me and sharpen the blades. Can't wait to get out on the ice! read more

Fantastic spot for all your ice/street hockey needs. Came in to get the bf some street skates as we're picking back up to roller skate outdoors. They had a great machine that measured his feet perfectly and the sales staff were very pleasant. The gal that helped us was newer and was very honest about her knowledge level. Which was nice as we needed genuine feedback - and got some from a guy who also used to roller hockey. Great experience and I'm probably coming back soon to get fitted for a pair as well. Clean shop, chill vibe and fair prices. I went back to the store, few months later, with a pair of ice hockey skates that had an issue with the blade holder, the store manager looked at the condition of the boot/blades and decided to give us credit toward a new pair of skates! My son and I went to Pure Hockey to get his hockey skates sharpened. We were immediately greeted by the Store Manager, he was very helpful, professional and friendly. His attention to my 8 year old son was very warm, personable and engaging. I was extremely impressed with the Store Manager and his interaction with his customers. After turning over the skates for sharpening we continued to look throughout the store. I had a question regarding cage masks, that's when Trevor approached us, eager to assist. Trevor was very professional, knowledgeable and provided phenomenal customer service. He was able to answer all of my questions, he gave great advice and recommendations and Trevor's attention to my son was very engaging and inviting. As this was my first time visiting Pure Hockey I was not sure what to expect. My overall experience was truly the best in every aspect. Customer Service was by far the best I have received in a very long time. The knowledge of the Store Manager and Supervisor was very impressive. But what really made me leaving the store feeling like this was the best customer service experience I've ever had was the inclusion and engaging conversations with my 8 year old son. He had asked if we could go back the next day, this was simply due to the feeling of being welcomed and important. Being from Canada, I usually go to Vancouver for all of our hockey needs.
