Prices are reasonable and they have seasonal sales to help entice shoppers. The line to check out was rather long as there was only 2 check out counters open. The cashier was friendly. Being a co-op member, I was able to apply this purchase towards my rewards. What I like about being a co-op member is the ability to return products within 365 days from purchase. Though I've never availed of this benefit, it's great to have as a perk.

I've stopped in previously, usually for a detour for The Homie or items for The Nephew. This was the first time to create a Target account to place an online order for store pickup (11/25/23 - 11/26/23). I appreciated the ease of locating the item and its availability at various store sites. I was also given an update when it was ready for pickup. Why 3 stars? Poor signage of where to get assistance. Big sign near entrance says Returns /Exchanges, but dinky sign for Order Pickups. Scanner used by store associate was glitchy to scan the bar code. And the 80 cents extra charge for a bag fee, of which was never received. UPDATE: bag fee was removed because of the completed onsite/in-person pickup. Thankfully, a limited item was available post Black Friday. However, I rarely go out of my way to shop here. It can get a bit busy and congested with its proximity to Alderwood Mall.

Asking for help is honestly the last thing I want to do. I usually try to figure things out myself first, but my app wouldn't scan the item, and the scanner near the plastic plates wouldn't scan it either. There were two of the same item in clearance, and neither had a sale price, so I simply wanted to know if they had been placed there by mistake or if they were actually on sale. I asked Aarya/Aria for help, and she told me to wait "one minute." I was patient, but that one minute turned into over five minutes. I actually timed it. During that time, she repeatedly rolled her eyes and seemed visibly annoyed that I had asked for assistance. What made the interaction even more uncomfortable was the constant huffing and puffing while walking back and forth a very short distance. It was only a few steps, yet she acted as though helping a customer was an exhausting task. There were also several other employees nearby, so I'm not sure why a simple price check became such an ordeal. I understand that work can be tiring and everyone has bad days. But if you're working in a customer-facing position, basic courtesy still matters. If you need more time, just communicate that. If you're busy, say so. Don't tell a customer "one minute" and then leave them standing there while visibly acting irritated. Maybe she needs more experience and practice in the role. More hours might actually help with that. Customer service is part of the job, and hopefully with more practice, helping a customer won't feel like such a physically demanding experience. I also felt uncomfortable with the way I was treated and felt that there was a racial component to the interaction. No customer should leave wondering whether they were treated differently because of their race. I wasn't asking for special treatment. I had already tried the app and the store scanner myself. Both didn't work, so I asked an employee a very basic question. The huffing, puffing and eye-rolling were completely unnecessary. I came in to shop, not to feel like I had inconvenienced someone by asking for help.
