I love this place! The owners are all kind and helpful and knowledgeable. I know that any produce I find will be priced significantly less than the big stores, too. I've lived in Edmonds since 1980 and have been going here since I found them back then. I'm always sad when they pack things up in the fall, and in the spring, around Mother's Day, I'm delighted to see them back again. So nice to see small businesses making it in these crazy times. We were driving along Aurora and spotted this farmers market. Since we like to support farmers market, we pulled over to check things out. Everything was nicely laid out with a good selection of produce, and the quality looks good too. Even though we didn't "need" anything in particular, we bought some sweet onions, cucumbers, plums, and a cabbage. Happy with the purchases and the price. The temperature has dropped dramatically, so employees and customers were bundled up including wearing face mask. Plenty of parking at their lot. read more

Every year we get our Christmas tree from Country Farms! They have a great selection of heights. Both Noble and Flocked trees. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I don't mind spending a little extra when the experience is great and to help a small business. They will even help you tie your tree to your roof top if you need! read more

Great source of fresh fruit and vegetables! We just scored: $0.33 cucumbers, $0.40/lb oranges, $0.69/lb sweet onions, and 2 for $1 bell peppers. This open air market is open mid March through early November and offers really great prices on perishable groceries. You don't have to weed through a bunch of bad produce either, the staff weeds out anything that's past it's prime and puts them in further reduced clearance boxes. Right now, their produce is from California and Mexico, but when the crops in Washington are harvested, more Washington grown produce will show up in this market. There's a $0.60 charge for debit card charges, but credit card purchases are free. The place looks great, the prices are really low, and it's right near Seattle Deli for Vietnamese sandwiches and Than Bros for pho, one stop shopping for a bunch of affordable goodies, sah-weeet! read more

I used to love shopping here. I won't shop again. I was already in the store today when a lady and her husband drove up and the lady steps out without a mask, is walking around the store. I told my cashier who told us to let someone in the back know. We told two people in the back who did nothing. The lady went to check out and completed her transaction. I told the lady that there is a mask order in Washington State right now. Her husband got belligerent and threatened me. I went home, then called and asked to speak to the manager. The manager told me that if someone has a medical reason. They don't have to wear a mask. No one ever asked if this person had a medical reason. I will never shop here again. If they are lax about hygiene during the Pandemic, they are probably lax during the best of times. read more

For example, friday i came to do shopping, i got one bunch of ORGANIC bananas, four washington grannysmith apples, three sweet walla walla onions. two heads of garlic (and a partridge in a pear tree...J/K) two ears of sweet corn, one large zucchini, and a bottle of nantucket nectars half and half tea... total bill: $7.95 (the tea was 1.69). DING DING DING DING! 200TH REVIEW! WHAT-UP! I almost hate to write this review... not because of a bad experience but because this is one of my "spots" I tend to keep fairly on the down low. But hey, it's not very "Elite" like to be all "Elitist" about places you love, so allow me to share... plus. I figured for my 200th Review (a milestone mind you) I should share one of my favorite places to go. At first glance, it's simply just a fruit/veggie stand... but the true charm isn't until you check it out! The prices are fantastic! These are the best prices on produce I have ever found anywhere! Not even TJ's or Costco can hold a candle to these prices! The most recent trip I came by, I picked up 3 heads of kale, a 2 lb bag of carrots, lb of peaches, and a head of red lettuce... guess how much I spent? less than $8. I make baked kale chips on a weekly basis and this is one of the places I hit to get my kale, at just under a buck for a head of kale... it's super cheap and great for those who want to add the nutrient rich green in their diet! The staff is always helpful, I rarely have to "dig" for the good stuff and you will literally feel like you can really afford to be healthy. One of the biggest excuses unhealthy people have to justify eating not so good for them foods is that they'll claim eating healthy is expensive... no excuses here. This place is a thriving summer institution in this area, and I don't take nearly as much advantage of it as I should. It has been here for years and years, since well before I moved to the area, and I am averaging maybe one visit per year if I am lucky. It just goes to show how tough it is to embrace the idea of going to different stores for groceries, like our grandparents did. The prices here are just insanely good, but we all want the convenience of parking once and getting everything at a supermarket. This is a big open-air stand with parking for about 15, right on Highway 99. The fact that so many cars go right by here strikes some people as a negative for produce, but, hey, we DO all wash every piece of produce before we eat it...right? The stalls here are full of fruits and vegetables of all kinds, with occasional visits from juices, ciders, and cut flowers. You can usually count on them to have a few potted herbs, flowers, and plants as well, but the focus really is on the fruits and vegetables. The prices here are absolutely spectacular (and they do take cards). You can get down to almost local prices for produce from California (I mean prices you'd pay in CA for stuff grown there). It's not all organic, by any means, but they do have some OG choices, and you can definitely get big, healthy, perfect specimens of all kinds of stuff. They get stuff from all over, so it's not ultra-local by any means, either. You can weigh the factors that affect your purchase decision accordingly, but if you need pounds and pounds of a given vegetable (for a dinner party or whatever), paying 69 cents a pound here is a lot better than paying $4.59 for it at a high-end supermarket. Sometimes you want to snag the deals at the nice supermarkets, sometimes you want to snag the deals at a place like this. And this place almost always has almost everything at deal prices, so I need to come in here a lot more often. read more

Each spring, I wait for Country Farms to re-open. I love that they sell the typical produce you expect that is better quality and more reasonably priced compared to grocery stores. On top of that, you can also find potting soil, vegetable starts, herbs, and other plants. It makes for great one stop shopping for all your produce needs. Like most produce stands, they often have a discounted bin. I like the way they do theirs better than most stands. They have a flat rate of $3 for discounted boxes and they provide a variety to choose from. For instance, you could get a box with 3 onions, a lemon, a grapefruit, and asparagus. Of all the fruits stands I've been to, I like this method the best. Also, the produce is not as old as other stands. What I mean by that is with most stands, the discounted bin is barely usable. With Country Farms you likely have longer to use the items. Staff members are friendly and quick. Parking is more plentiful than a lot of stands I've been to. Also, the location right off Aurora is super convenient. read more

I've driven by this place for a long time. Finally decided to stop on my way home for a pepper and a cucumber. I walked in at 7:43 as they were tossing covers on the produce and was met with a big sigh. When I apologetically asked if they were closed I was told "no, but we close at 8 and that means we'll be walking out the door at 8." It was probably a long day, I get it. And there was maybe a bit of remorse when 3 minutes later I was checking out and I was told in a teeth gritted kind of friendly way that in a couple weeks they'd be open to 9. But I walked into a produce stand and was basically shown I was an irritant. Thanks but no thanks. I go to the stand by my house because they're super friendly and nice. And they smile at All the corporate joints. You've done neither and I'll never be back. Your produce looks fine, but that isn't why I support my other local small business owners. My boyfriend and I came here to grab ingredients for veggie soup. Zucchini, cabbage, mushrooms, yellow squash, onion, broccoli, all for under $10. This is the place to visit for inexpensive meals. So far it has lasted us 3 nights! Everything looked fresh, clean and well organized. I appreciated that items were clearly marked with a price. I was also impressed by their salad dressing selection! I like this place because its on the way home from my zumba class. They have great hours, 7am to 10pm and the parking was okay while I was there and easy to access although, I can see how it might get hectic. They have these mini avocados 3 for $1, amazing. I like them almost as much as I like personal watermelon. The selection of kale which has been touch and go because of the weather, was better than I have seen at any other produce stand including, Lenny's and star produce down the road. Country farms also carries a lot of cactus and other exotic food that are tough to come by in say, SAFEWAY. I would definitely go back to this place but for now I am a Lenny's regular because they have sugar snap peas for a reasonable price. WOW WOW WOW :) Hubby and I went down to this market this afternoon after we realized the pumpkin patch was too far away and we were too exhausted on this lazy Monday afternoon. Here was our shopping list when we arrived: 2 pumpkins. (that's it - I had a $20 in my pocket and that's all we were gonna spend). Here's what we left with: 2 twenty-pound pumpkins, a pound of fresh green beans, 2 HUGE fuji apples, a bunch of fresh spinach and one pear GRAND TOTAL: $12.78 LOVE IT! How could you not love this? Well... ok, they don't offer much/any organic produce but still, like Theresa said, it's (mostly) from Washington so that's awesome. Perfect place for pumpkins, lots of selection. even had gorgeous white pumpkins, corn stocks, and TONS of squash and other fall yummies. We recently searched for new places to get our Christmas Tree as we had gone to Sky Nursery for years (5+), and they've always been higher in price but it felt worth it as we lived so close to it. Since then we've moved, but are still in the area. We went to Sky as always to look for trees-but this year, their prices seem to have skyrocketed. :( So, we ended up at Country Farms with a better deal and a beautiful tree! This is a great place to stock up on your fruits and veggies. Better prices than in the regular grocery store. My boyfriend is a big fan (apparently this is 1 of his 7 reviews) and always dragging me here, he's obsessed with avocados. Conveniently located right on Hwy 99, where you can drive by and see some of the advertised deals on sides by the road. Good quality produce. They have a wider variety of things than most stores too. They also sell a few other odds and ends like honey and Dave's Killer Bread, with a mexican like section and a small refrigerated section. Not the best place to do all your grocery shopping though unless you are a raw foodist or something. read more

Ahhh, what's sweeter than browsing your neighborhood produce stand? Few things, I'd imagine, though I guess I can imagine a few... This place is a must-stop when I need some fresh veggies or fruit, and also a random-stop just about everytime I'm at 99 Ranch, Boohan Market, or grabbing some pho at Than Brothers. It's just hard to see it when it's open and not swing in! It's hard to see it in the winter when it's closed and wait for it to reopen! The fresh veggies and fruit are plentiful, fresh (of course), and cheap! It's always a great stop before you head home to make dinner or before you fire up the juicer (better with something in it, no?). I have been going her since I was little girl! Back then rising my bike or walking now driving. Way harder to park than it used to be. Prices are higher now bit the quality isn't as good as it used to be. Still, I do go here when the dita have peaked as that's the te for the best deal. They do have lots of variety and there's always the boxes of overripe fruit for super cheap! The customer service isn't that great since its outlying high school kids just playing around. Just watch them as they will drop your fruit into the bag like you just bought some rocks! Sheesh!! read more

Yes, I know, it's a veggie and fruit stand but in the off season they also sell Christmas trees. While the prices are about what you expect from a small local stand, I was surprised this year when we did a bit of price shopping and found them to be on the cheaper side of things. Granted they can't compare with the huge mega-hardware store, who can? They had a nice selection and friendly staff. They also shake your tree of loose needles, trim the trunk for you and run it through the plastic net binding thingy. They'll even help you put it on top of your car, and for us height challenged peeps that's worth the price of gold! Veggie and fruit wise they are on the up and up, priced about right and depending on the time of the season you can find some really nice deals here. I also like this place because you get to handle the produce and pick and chose what you want. Unlike the Pike Place market where they show you the best and then pack your bags with stuff for you from the other display side of the stand were you can't see things!!! I just hate that... Plenty of parking and if memory serves they take most major credit cards, well they did at Christmas time.... read more

This is totally a hidden gem right off Aurora. The most affordable produce I've seen in the greater seattle area with a very good selection. The parking situationinitially seems like it might be bad but I've never had trouble finding a space nearby, even on a Saturday afternoon. It's close to Costco and Fred Meyer which means it easily fits into the shopping routine. They close for several months in the winter which sucks, but they always return in the spring! read more

I drive by almost daily on my new route to work and stopped in today for the first time. Oh my goodness, it's fabulously fresh and great prices.. Radishes and green onions, two bunches for a buck, fresh guava at $2.98 a lb, so much to choose from. I had four full sacks of beautiful produce for $27. I will be coming back often. read more

Love this place! This is a place I take into consideration whenever I consider moving. This place has a great selection at prices that are amazing. I've never found fruits and veggies this cheap (that aren't past expiration). I've never been to a farmers market here or any other veggie stand like this so I don't know, this could be pretty standard?? Love this place, however, they aren't the safest during Co-vid. Many employees don't wear masks, very little adherence to wiping down carts, guests aren't required to wear masks. It might even be nice to have tongs and gloves to pick up vegetables, everyone touches everything. I'm immune-compromised, I want to come back so I hope they figure this out. PCC and QFC are doing a little better right now. (Changed to 5 stars, they seem to be working on the issue) read more

This is one heck of a fruit stand. Peaches, apricots, and nectarines for under a dollar a pound and mangoes for 50 cents a piece! I love summer fruit and this is the place to get it! Not only are the prices great, but the people who work there are awesome. Even if you don't live in the Edmonds/Lynnwood area, this place is worth the drive. We love this place and have been patronizing it for years. We have a running joke that no matter how much we get, we cannot spend more than $30. That's serious. I love the fresh veg they have starting in the spring. It is a great place to get local produce without having to fight the crowds down at pike place market.
