Our go to person we've been ordering from is Kristin, but I've been in and received help from Ryan and multiple different folks. All are welcoming and helpful. I wish I would have known about Risan a couple seasons back when we were having trouble finding cleats. They had a TON of options, same goes for bats ( they even had the Fire bat which was one of my son's top asked for bday items). There was a day recently where Kristin was not in, and I was able to still get a response from her via email and her coworker even text her to get a response. The team at Risan cares about their customers and that's rare to find nowadays. Every time I've been in I see someone else there getting great service, and you can tell they've had some relationships with local schools and teams for years and years. I also like that they're able to do small batch orders. We were considering doing a dozen hats for parents and Kristin was more than happy to get quotes for me. Next time we need any baseball gear for the team or just my son, we'll be hitting up Risan. Highly recommend for baseball gear in Kirkland/Redmond/Sammamish.

I walked in mumbling something like "uhh I ride kinda switch and sometimes hit side hits but also like buttering around," and within five minutes she had narrowed my choices from "all of them" to "these exact three that I won't hate by February." Her product knowledge is scarily good like if bindings had a trivia night, Sophie would win a free lifetime supply and then give half away because she's just that nice. I walked out with premium bindings for less than the "discount" price I was about to pay online (before shipping, tax, and the inevitable regret). 10/10, five stars, two thumbs up, would let Sophie pick my bindings again in a heartbeat. I was able to find pretty affordable ski pants too. They have a good selection. The people working here are pretty friendly. They helped me expand my ski boots with this ski warmer and it helped a lot in terms of comfort with skiing. They also gave me more tips on how to prevent my legs from being bruised because of the tightness of the ski boots.

However, I do like the convenience of shopping in store when I need something right away. I will say the parking lot of the Bellevue store always makes me jittery when going there because the spaces are tight or awkwardly designed. Not to mention the amount of cars circling the parking lot makes me concerned about fender benders, which leads me to avoid it if I can.

His customer service is impeccable, and his knowledge of the game amazes me. While I might be able to save a dollar or two on a website, I know that I am money ahead by coming here. His son does on-site glove repair and restoration. His selection of mitts is second to none and he knows each and every one. If you buy a mitt from Misho, Jim will personally start the break in process in his shop with the old fashioned wooden mallet and hammer. Jim is always willing to help out the community and his customers. This is and will always be my go-to place for baseball and softball gear.
