That said, also apparently not terribly skilled at…read morediagnosing an issue correctly because it took three trips -- all at my expense -- before their other tech found what he called "a very obvious issue"...so obvious it was somehow missed twice before by his co-worker. On top of that, he also said we needed a new TXV, except it turned out that was also incorrect. The TXV was, and still is, fine. It was later discovered by a different company that on the original visit the co-worker had badly overcharged our unit to the point where the excess refrigerant had to be bled off and recaptured before it caused bigger issues, like mimicking a bad TXV. We used the different company for that, they didn't charge us for it, and I won't bother calling Air Supply ever again. I used Air Supply based on recommendations here on Yelp and from several neighbors. Not sure why we got so lucky but we ended up spending a LOT of unnecessary money chasing down "a very obvious issue" and having someone else fix it.

Cody came out and explained what the plan was, what he noticed as far as my current system and specs, and priced it all out for me. He even waited until I was at a break during my work from home to go over everything. The price was much lower than the initial company and did not require any walls to come down! Mike and Cody quickly got me set up with a new system and answered all the questions I had. I wanted a Mitsubishi system--and what do you know, he revealed to me that my other Mitsubishi quote from another dealer was full of bunk. Go figure. So, I took him up on his offer. I asked for quotes on both the low and high end system; I chose the low end system. Here's where it gets interesting: they brought the high end system instead, due to some paperwork mixup. They spent about an hour figuring things out for themselves, and in the end came to me with the offer: "we'll just let you keep this and get it installed today for the low end system price, it's just easier". I took them up on it. The installers were great, thorough, and efficient. Here it is 5 months later and 22 degrees outside, and all is well. Thanks for reaching out, Mackenzie. It worked out well.

Everyone I dealt with - in the office over the phone or in person - was incredibly nice & professional! It took awhile to get approval, from the warranty company, to replace entire unit.
