I can confidently say the instructors have given me near life and death experiences every class. If…read moreyou've ever wanted to be an elephant zookeeper and didn't feel like you had the strength to do it. These classes will assist you in that journey If you ever had a nightmare that Ed Gein or other friends like Jeffrey Dahmer might chase you down and make you into a suit. I assure you with their training that you will no longer need to fear that today if you sign up and take the classes consistently. I've been into self mutilation lately in the sense of heavily enjoying sweating out every demon I've ever acquired in my lifetime at their Mat Pilates class Don't let the name fool you it's absolutely the exorcism you've always needed and your mom always wanted you to have for your bad behavior as a child. Highly recommend it if you'd like to sweat out your demons. Every time I leave their class, I don't know if I'm supposed to look the instructor in the eye and think them or flip them the bird because they whooped me in the classroom I'm afraid to make eye contact with other people next to me, knowing that they are equally dying during most of these sessions There are times that I am questioning myself and why I signed up for this but when I look at myself in the mirror, I'm like oh she's snatched The only thing I have to add is don't ever be late because they will lock you out and you will look Hella silly sitting there in your workout equipment knocking on the door don't be late. Be 10 minutes early. And if you think you're gonna be late, just don't show up because you'll look like me big bird on the side of the road trying to get into her hot Pilates class I love when men sign up for these classes because it reminds me why I'm a woman I had the pleasure of witnessing 18 year-old boys sign up for one of these classes and I laid there and laughed for 20 minutes because they all cried So anyway, if you have a fear of serial killers in the state of Washington and would like to be fit, I highly recommend peoples Pilates. I also recommend them if you've acquired many demons in your lifetime and need to sweat them out and or beat them out because they will do that for you without charge.

How's your new year's resolution going? In mood to learn something new, or add something different…read moreto your workout? Are you looking to explore on improving your posture and form while strengthening your muscles? Well I think I have a perfect place for you. Quick background on my personal pilates experience before discovering People's Pilates (they're new in town, opened in Dec 2022!): I tried pilates few years back for about two months (Bellevue Pilates), I did not like it mostly because of the atmosphere- small group in a quiet space, which is expected of this exercise because its low impact and focuses on strengthening and stretching your muscles. Yeah it was boring for me and I never looked back. Pure Barre was more of faster pace with upbeat energy for me so I stuck with it for 2+ years and it was great! Fast forward to 2023, I've been going to Orangetheory Fitness for 6 years now which is more of quick paced and I love it, but I've been looking to add something low impact, a workout that can help me relax my muscles and tensions in my lower-back from repetitive high intensive workout. People's Pilates have highly knowledgeable instructors, they will not bore you to fall asleep on that reformer. They have a comprehensive routine that is various, and I recommend starting off with "Intro to Pilates" class a couple of times, it will help you to be familiar with different parts of the reformer and discover pilates the right way. They also offer classes like Glide&Flow; and Strengthen&Lengthen that focuses more on specific type of workout to improve your unused muscles and help you get in right form. One thing I took away from my initial classes is that your body is going to keep fall in a way that is comfortable with, and that's not always the correct form. People's Pilates instructor helps you to focus on your form first, so that your spine is aligned correctly and that has been a huge help in relieving some tensions I've had in my lower back and glutes. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly so even if you've never done pilates before, its not intimidating at all. They also incorporate different equipment into each workout, so no session is the same as the one before. They offer variety of membership and class packages that you can purchase so that you can try as few classes as you like or as many as you like. Check out their website (or App!). I purchased 3 class pack and have done 4 classes so far, and I must say that I have a whole new perspective on pilates now. Lastly the instructors are super cool and they have a playlist that keeps me moving! No more of that zen pilates that I've tried to fit myself in.

I went to a few classes, they were ok. But The owner Sold me some eyelash growth product that I…read morereacted to and I returned it within the month as she said I could. She told me I could use it for class credit or get the money back. I planned to return to a class but then I broke my back. When I got back to her she told me it was too late for either. She had not said there was a time factor or I would have just got my money back. But the worst part was she was unkind and showed no concern about what I had been through. So I would say do NOT trust your body and health with this kind of person.

I have so much love for Core I hardly know where to begin. I started going here about a year ago…read moreand am now fully addicted. First of all, the owners, Patrick and Crystal, are just about the nicest people ever, and they definitely know their stuff and have a passion for their business. The studio is built around private sessions--before you can sign up for classes you must go through 1 or 2 private sessions with one of the instructors. Some people might be uncomfortable with this, but it helps to ensure that when you're in class you're actually doing the moves correctly and that the instructor can tailor some of the moves to suit you. Their classes also rarely have more than 3 or 4 people, which means you get plenty of personal attention. They work on a points system, in which you buy a package of points and then sign up for classes of varying point amounts. It can get a bit pricey, and is probably a good bit more than your run-of-the-mill chain gym, but the personal service is well worth it. After just a few classes the instructors and other customers begin to feel like a family and the overall atmosphere is extremely positive. This is the first workout program I've ever managed to stay on for any length of time, and I don't see myself quitting anytime soon! Edit: I forgot to add that they have a very convenient online system for purchasing points and signing up for classes.
