We received a referral for PureClean to fix a faulty booster pump. They came out to assess without a prior call (fortunately we were home) and diagnosed that it needed replacement. They sent an email saying they would like to install it the next Saturday. We replied with availability and never heard back. We sent another email 3 days later and a call 5 days later to get on the calendar. 11 days later they called us and cancelled the repair stating we were unreachable. of course the initial service fee was paid upfront to diagnose what we already knew... Marcelo and the pool clean team are fantastic. I was having continual problems with my big company pool cleaners. A friend referred me to Marcelo. He is fantastic. He had to do a lot of diagnostics and repairs (pumps, heaters etc) to get my pool system back on track and its been great so far. He comes weekly and pays great attention to detail on the chemistry, mechanics etc. He is reliable and excellent at communicating (i hate the phone and love text and email) That said, I am very hands off and was looking for someone I could trust to basically maintain my pool so I don't even have to think about it unless I am swimming in it. read more

Up until this week I've used another company to open and close my pool. It was always a hassle - having to call them multiple times just to get an idea when they might show up. When they did finally show up, they were in and out as fast as possible. My recent experience with Marcelo was amazing. Right from the start there was excellent communication. Within 2 days he was at my house, exactly on time. I saw the reviews and hired Marcello of Pure Clean. He does not provide receipts for parts he buys and does not stand behind his work if there is a problem. He is very polite and courteous if there's no problem, however if he installs something wrong BEWARE. He does not warranty his work! It ended up costing us a huge water bill and a re-installation of the parts to stop the water from dripping on our pool pump. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I contracted Marcelo to open my pool and needed it done by Fathers Day (2 weeks) He finished half of the job and wanted the other half of his check a day before the pool was to be finished. I told him he would get the balance upon completion as we agreed. He told me, "no check, no finish". I told him "no finish, no check". He says, "me no happy", I told him that I'm getting someone else to finish it. He's a one man operation and very shady. Don't use this guy! read more
