Do not recommend. Asked front desk person who he considered to be good but he wouldn't answer. Towel used on the headrest area (I came in for an hour long foot massage) was soiled and there were stains everywhere on the carpeting. If you like your massage facility to be clean, I wouldn't recommend this business. The massage therapist's hands had a strong odor (smelled of food) which I found off putting and distracting. Got a last minute couple massage here while we were in the area because our backs and legs are killings us from a hike. They took aWe got the 90 minute Swedish massage. I forgot to ask who did my massage but he's a man. Overall massage was just okay i wish it was firmer though. I asked to be more firmer around my right calf because its painful but i think there was a miscommunication that he thought I wanted the pillow to be fixed. The hot stone experience was really nice it was the right temperature. After the massage he cleaned me with wet towels and it was too hot on my back that I got startled . Tipping is different. You have to say it in total to the front desk(including your tip and massage). For example, $10 massage plus $10 tip. You have to say $20 in total. Walked in to get a foot massage. Had an ankle compression sock on because I had just come from the gym. Actually had completely forgotten about it but the guy at the desk said no. I tried to communicate that it was just a compression sock, but he didn't understand English. No matter, I just took my business elsewhere where they has no problem with it. Treat yourself! Close to tourist areas/hotels. Great prices. Definitely coming back! This by far has been the best massage I've had in a long time. The pressure was perfect! As soon as he came across my unbearably tense shoulders he came back to it with a gentle but firm pressure without causing me pain. Normally ppl put too much pressure on the knots on my shoulders. I've gone to Purity Massage several times. Some of the therapists don't speak very much English. I've asked them repeatedly not to use their arms and elbows on my back. Each time after receiving a massage, I go home feeling bruised. Not good. When I am checking out, I pay and give the therapists a tip. Each time the therapist laughs and says "this is all you're tipping me" in very clear plain English!! They always want more!! Rude!! In my opinion, gratuity is a kindness gesture. Best massage of my LIFE!! I had gone through a double mastectomy and had back surgery and after 2 years of healing my back it was still so f*cked up and I was dying to be "adjusted". Sometimes this would make a lady feel uncomfortable (having a male masseuse) but he knew what he was doing from the first touch. I love massages deep and hard and he gave it. His hands were so strong and quick. All I could do was submit and breathe out the last 2 years of hell I had been through. I feel like my muscles got the benefit of 3 massages in one. I used to be a fan of these places but now I am not at all. My mom went to get the $80 massage and woke up the next day with her body hurting. On top of that, the persons hands smelled like cigarettes and at the end they automatically charged her card with $20 tip. They didn't speak English so it was hard to communicate with them. Also, they own the one in Marina and not happy with that one either. They thought my friend wanted a combo massage and that doesn't include feet. She wanted her feet rubbed as well so then they upsold to her sister saying 90 min to Include feet. Then when my friends mom went they kept talking in the room and it wasn't relaxing. They rip you off and then they talk in their language when they aren't happy with the tip you provide them and stare at you. I would say just stick to getting a plain foot massage there but not full body. Not worth it all. Save your money and treat yourself to a nice, quiet, smell good real spa! read more

The last time I had a massage at Purity, I was given a brand new, inexperienced therapist. She did not understand English. She kept hurting me. I finally asked the receptionist to come in and translate into Mandarin Chinese, to let her know that she was hurting me. However, even with translation, she could not be corrected. She continued to hurt me , again and again and again. I finally asked for a different therapist. They said I had to accept the inexperienced therapist, because she needed to learn how to do massage. Finally, they were willing to give me a different therapist. We barely spoke, but she was able to not hurt me again and again, like the previous inexperienced therapist did. The next time I tried to get a massage there, I got the owner on the phone. I was told that I needed to make a reservation. He said that I needed to go to an English-speaking massage parlor. He said that I needed to pay more money and get someone who understood English. He said that only clients who want very hard massage came to Purity massage studio. He was unwilling to help me at all. He would not make an appointment for me, with any of his therapists. I'm really disappointed because it was a convenient location. I'm kind of surprised that even speaking Mandarin Chinese, they did not understand when I kept saying, "Ouch, you are hurting me"!! read more

I have been to many upscale spas to receive treatments. This is absolutely the best massage either one of us has ever received. If you are looking for white bath robes, cucumber water, crystals, mystical music, trickling water features, and showers with locker rooms, and saunas, this is not for you. If you are looking for an honest, clean, truly healthful and healing massage, this is the place. I have, honestly, had pain in my shoulder for a year now. I have had hip pain for many years. After 15 minutes of initial massage, without me telling him anything. Peter went to work on both my shoulder and hip. Instead of an interview, during the initial 15 minutes he was able to identify the areas that needed work. I left with mobility in my shoulder that I haven't had in over a year. DO NOT be discouraged with the location in a strip mall. I was hesitant when we arrived. These Massage Professionals are amazing. They provide more of a therapeutic, than Boushey experience. I have been to the foot spa place across the street by sushi time and this massage was so much better compared. I only got the foot massage which also includes shoulders, neck, arms and legs. I have regular independent CMTs I see for therapeutic bodywork but a few days ago my Achilles' tendon and ankle started getting really sore so on an impulse I decided to go to one of these quick spas. I chose this one based on reviews and location. I had a 60 minute foot massage which also included a bit of work on my head, hands and upper legs but was mostly what I needed, which was feet and lower legs. My therapist was Tony and he was really great- confident, firm pressure, attentive, good rhythm. The massage included a little hot stone work at the end as well. The woman at the desk was wonderful: very friendly and service-oriented. She even offered me ear plugs at one point because one of the other clients was snoring! Getting out of the military I have a shit load of body pain. Still waiting on VA to say yes to paying me for this broken body. The massage was pretty average and was about to leave a tip, but she was extremely rude when my friend gave her a tip that was below her expectations. So I didn't leave a tip. We arrived to a clean and friendly establishment, the price was amazing, it is a stellar find. My masseuse was Micheal, he was perfect in every way, he was able to pin point all my problem areas without direction from me. I was very pleased. My partner was also very happy with his masseuse but was in seventh heaven and failed to get her name, both of them were amazing.
