Had a nice romantic dinner here recently. The restaurant is open and friendly. They have outdoor seating for those warm spring/summer days. The staff are amazing. Very friendly and happy to make recommendations on food or wine. Since we where there for our anniversary they gave us a free glass of wine(for me) and a very lovely non-alcoholic cider for my wife. I had the Mushroom Pappardelle. Flavor was good but they used the wrong mushrooms for this dish. They Mushrooms where tough and made the dish difficult to eat. read more

They have expanded their happy hour times and changed up the menu a bit since last time I was here- but this is still a fantastic spot for happy hour with the girlies. I had dinner on Wednesday night with a big group. For drink, I had the Thyme traveler, which is made of verjus blanc, giffard alcohol free ginger, thyme syrup, and apple. The drink was refreshing and I liked it a lot. Regarding food, I thought the appetizers were stronger than the entrees. We had a grand time enjoying the appetizers including burrata, French fries, and focaccia. Everyone went crazy for the fries. Burrata was placed on top of spice-roasted delicata squash and topped with apple balsamic, pomegranate, hazelnut with a side of toasted baguette. I thought the burrata was the best dish out of all. For entree, I had braised short rib with pappardelle port cream sauce, blistered tomato, and sage. I thought the sage had an interesting flavor - it tasted like it was roasted to a crisp. On the other hand, I probably should've gotten something else because I don't really like sweet pasta dishes, and port cream sauce was exactly that. The combination of short rib and pappardelle felt kind of excessive and I was struggling to swallow at times. I appreciate that I had the opportunity to try several dishes during a work event so I didn't have to shell out for the food, but I'm not sure if I'd be back to buy food for myself here again. read more

I'd give it 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. The main draw here is the very extensive wine list. I think this would be best experienced with a small group of 3-4 people so that you can split a couple of bottles. However, if you come on your own, they do have a decent wine by the glass list, and there's also an option to buy 2 half glasses so you can try more things without getting completely sloshed. The food is just alright for the price. It's decent, but it's not amazing. Basically, you can get better high-mid range Italian/American food elsewhere nearby for comparable or better prices. This Purple location is new-ish. It has a pretty large patio area which I enjoyed in the summer. The staff are helpful and able to provide suggestions and information on the wine. read more

The most fun you will have at this location of Purple is the circuitous route you will be sent on just to find the restrooms...and don't forget to look for the codes. Went there with my son and wife after his class at the Divers Institute just down on the Lake Union Waterfront and would gladly return for more. We were attended to by Sydney who was absolutely delightful and very attentive. Their happy hour menu is really a good value and their HH Old Fashion was very close to perfect. I gave high marks in all categories and really do mean it. I just wonder if patrons who share the "porch swing" sitting option if they get annoyed by each other when they are trying to cut through a steak and the whole bench starts vibrating? Really the place is later out great with a metric ton.of seating options. We chose to sit outside and we're really comfortable in the shade. I don't know about parking as we walked from the institute but I'm sure there are plenty of options in the neighborhood. read more

This is my favorite location that Purple has. It's very cozy and is always busy! Their food is always delish, I always go for their pizza or pasta, you can never go wrong! Visited the Woodinville location yesterday and the place has changed big time and sadly not for the better. I was very surprised when we walked in at 1:00 to a nearly empty restaurant on a sunny Saturday The menu seems to be cut in half with most of my favorites gone. We wanted their shaved prime rib sandwich but had to settle for a extra salty turkey. Just not the same. They were nice enough to take it off the bill Also gone were their salted Carmel truffles So no taste treat for the table. Great food, no matter what you try. The bar is crazy - beautiful and expansive. I always have to get pizza when I come here, it's my exact type - little bite with a little crunch. Never had a bad experience here - staff has always been kind and accommodating. I have blood sugar issues, and during an episode, a very kind waitress dropped everything to get me juice. We went here for Father's Day, and everyone really enjoyed their food. I had the Chunky Avocado salad and loved it so much. It contained a wonderful combination of textures: soft avocado, crunchy quinoa and pepitas, plus frisée. I was worried it wouldn't be enough food, but it was surprisingly filling after sharing a cheeseboard. The server was knowledgeable about wine and shared a recommendation to pair with the avocado salad. It was lovely. I would definitely come back here. Sadly, many things could be improved: The service, to start. Our waiter seemed bothered by having to take our orders. (We were a table of four.) He was extremely slow and after delivering our food he never came back to refill ice tea, never offered bread with sauce dishes, offer dessert.. MIA. I finally walked up to the bar to ask for the check. The food was not on par with other Purple restaurants. My "risotto" was a glutinous, shimmery mess. My daughter in law's pasta was similarly bad. Our usual favorite, Shrimp Frites was rated by my spouse as "decent" but at their prices it should at least warrant a "good". The special included a bottle of wine which was just bad - it should never have been sold. It's a beautiful restaurant but quality of service and food has a bearing on ambiance. Overall, the place was giving "diner at closing time" chiefly because of the attitude of the bartender/server. All that said, the Baked Brie was slow to arrive but tasty. We love the other Purple restaurants and really wanted to love this one. read more

I've been to this Purple location 3 times so far this year. It's such a pleasure to have an established Northwest restaurant in my neighborhood. The service is excellent, from greeting to bill. And a manager is always on the floor: viewing, helping, bussing, etc. I know this is a sign of a good business. I want to particularly recognize Sammie as a fabulous employee. A welcome addition to the neighborhood. Good food, service, and atmosphere, definitely will be coming back. Had the avocado salad, vodka fusilli, pizza with hot honey and cured meat, spicy shrimp appetizer (tip: ask the kitchen to make this into a main by adding pasta, will absolutely be doing it next time). Having their wine specialist on hand that night and executive chef coming out to greet us were very nice touches, customer delighter that up leveled the whole experience. Absolutely delicious food and really great service at this fun restaurant. We ate there before when it was Fiasco, which we loved, but this new place is awesome. Only suggestion would be to add at least one chocolate cake or cookie option on the dessert menu. The tiramisu and sea salted caramels are great, but we were craving chocolate cake. read more
