Came in solo during a short trip to Walla Walla. While this place is spendy compared to other tasting rooms in the area, it's valuable and worth it. I was greeted immediately walking in the door and was lucky to have Shawna helping me. Knowledgeable about wines and suggested the perfect flight for what I was looking for. We've been club members for years. I see some negative reviews here, but please don't let that deter you. We come to Walla Walla wine tasting often and Browne consistently has the best whites, sparkling wines and reds. Their 2019 Continental Cab was outstanding. One of the best reds we've ever had. Spymaster series is excellent as well. Browne is also now making spirits. All of their bourbons are very good and worth trying. The girls in the tasting room are all knowledgeable, personable and help make the tasting a wonderful experience. Highly, highly recommend!! read more

There is a piece of me that doesn't want to like Browne. It is a bit more expensive, feels a bit hoitie toitie. But you know, the wine is pretty darn good. Actually, my favorite from the area. A big pro is that they have happy hour from 4 - 7pm. The happy hour is decent, but even more is just the fact that they stay open until 7pm. I know that next time we are in Walla Walla, I will want to go try other wineries, and yet we will still end up at Browne! read more

We had a fabulous tasting! Very comfortable outside and great staff. Being unfamiliar with Brown wines we were pleasantly surprised how good they were. They have several sparkling wines, and we loved Gigi, a sparkling rose. The 2017 Estate red blend might have been my fav taste all day. Though the 2017 Spy Master, a cabernet sauvignon, was amazing. We shared a cheese and salami plate that was delicious, and it included some chocolate that was also great with the red wine. We had a wonderful time sitting outside on a nice day, people watching and enjoying great wine. An outstanding tasting experience! read more

I like their red blend wine but...they don't take cash so I would recommend going someplace else. There are plenty of beautiful wineries to try in walla walla and those other wineries take cash! Shawna was wonderful by the way, but refused our cash. read more

We walked in thinking it would be great since we had seen large crowds the day before. Severely disappointed in the indifferent service and quality of their wines. The place was empty so it wasn't a question of service staff being overworked. We tried tried their 4 red flights. None was discoverable on a popular wine rating app. Each of them was below average or poor. Service person looked shocked when we asked what wines were on the tasting menu. Just snapped that she will bring out a list describing them. When she brought out the flights she struggled to explain each of them. We had to walk in to ask her for water. Venue was cute, staff was somewhat friendly, not overly but also not rude, theme was campy/comfy (LOVED IT), wine was OK. This being said, I would give it another shot as this was our last stop on our all day wine touring expedition... so at this point my review may have been a bit toasted (literally!!!) Location is right downtown, so if you are in Walla Walla I would stop by and give it a try. Im confused. This place has a decent score... However... Our experience was...... Bad. The wine is for a beginners palet. Mellow and unevenful. The tasting room servers were dull? They poured our tasting and said what it was then nothing. No suggestions what it might be good with. No information on the grapes or anything. Very blah. I have enjoyed the occasional Browne wine in the past, but all of today's offerings tasted a bit shallow and mass-produced. Very approachable wines, but for the price, I expected something more complex. Service was friendly and attentive, and their shop has cute items, which we bought a few of, along with a bottle we liked okay. They have plenty of variety, so perhaps we'll try new options another time. read more

Our small group wanted to visit Browne this weekend and planned to stop by last since it said online they were open until 7. We got there at 630 and they were closing and wouldn't let us taste. The next day we went earlier at 445 and they wouldn't let us taste because they were going to close early and the woman was pretty rude about it. Makes it hard to spend money if we can't taste the wine. read more

This was our very first stop for wine tasting in Walla Walla. We were impressed with the ambiance and decor. However, we did not actually taste the wines. We began asking questions (as academics, we often do) & it did not seem that we hit it off somehow with the employee or owner. We just chose to leave. I am sure that this place does well as it is in a prime location. It may have also been different if it had been one of the later stops rather than the first. This is why I am giving a benefit of the doubt and giving three stars. We plan to go back to Walla Walla within the year and we will give Browne Family Vineyards another try. read more

We spent a weekend wine tasting, hitting six different vineyards. We were most excited about Browne, it was the last stop. And most disappointing. The long dark haired hostess was not inviting.
