I'm not sure of 2 things- 1) how long Putt Pub has been opened? and 2) why it's taken me so long to visit? I had such a great time with my family a few days ago. They're kid-friendly up until 8pm and had 18 creative putt putt holes at $15 per person. Along with mini-golf, there's table tennis, yard games, a pool table and see saw. I didn't see any food on-site, but they have a full bar with daily drink specials. You could easily spend several hours here with family and friends alike. One of the most unique and fun places I've ever been to. The course is so creative and there are so many other free lawn games. It's like a grown up play ground. The Monday deal is great. I went there today at 3pm when they just opened. There was no one playing or even inside. The music was blaring and one had to almost yell to talk to anyone. I was there with a few kids and two have sensory issues. The music was too loud (even with their earphones) even as an adult... too annoying to have a relaxing golf game. I politely asked the bartender (guy with many tattoos) if he could turn the music down a little given some of the children have sensory issues. He said maybe just a little because a lot of other people could be coming. He didn't turn it down at all and walked away. I'm not angry with that person given he apparently has a neurological disorder that causes him to have zero sympathy for other people... especially kids. Again, we were the only people there at 3pm on a weekday. I see many other people online complaining about the bartender as well. The owners reply is full of lies. The "other customer" was part of our group (we were the only ones there) and we were there 10 minutes waiting for the music to be reduced... it never was reduced. In addition the music was not initially at a low level... it was very loud... yet another lie. read more

Really cool place! We showed up eighth when they opened. Sundays is $10 all day golf and there's free games like corn hole, ladder ball, checkers, beer pong, a seesaw (adults!) and more. Definitely a cool place with good music and the golf holes are really fun! I bet it's a way different scene when school is in and it's nighttime. We liked how it wasn't too crowded and all the drink options. It was just so dang hot! We wanted to play more than one round but called it quits. We had so much fun here with a family of young kids. We were ready to go before 8 when I assume it becomes even more fun for the older crowd. The course was thoughtful, fun, and challenging. Putt and Pub is one of my favorite mini golf date night spots! It's a drive from Austin, but so worth it! I wish we had something similar closer to Austin, because I'd I come I always have to get a DD or just not drink really, which is fine, but mini golf is always more fun with a little liquid courage! That being said, Putt n Pub is perfect for dates, hanging out with friends or even visitors (not family friendly though). They have lots of fun yard games to play outside of just golfing, they have two bars and a pretty good dj. The only com is usually you're going to run into a lot of college students, since it is down the street from Texas State. Never have I come out and not had a good time here! read more

First things first it is kid/family friendly! I love that! Parking is limited but you can park on the side of the dollar store right behind. Next if it's during the day there is no food, the food truck opens at night around 7pm but we were informed that you can Uber eats food to you! That was pretty cool. Things to do include: Putt Putt, corn hole, Jenga, giant connect 4, giant beer pong and a few others. Drinks I recommend are the cougar punch and as a alumni the Bobcat Lager! Great fun!! read more

This place is so cool. There's not many fun things to do in San Marcos (besides drinking) and this place put a good twist on that. The bar has swing chairs, the mini golf is super creative with tons of ways to get holes in one, and the workers were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a fabulous time here, for a celebration of my niece and new nephew's marriage. They had a private wedding before a judge, then treated us all to a fun party at this putt-putt (and other games) course, with a well-stocked bar. They rented out the space for several hours for our private party, and it was great. Since they don't have a kitchen or serve food themselves, they allowed catered food to be brought in, including the wedding cakes! It's rare for our whole family to get together aside from holidays, so we all had a blast. We missed my daughter who lives in NC, but her twin was in from Dallas, along with various parents, aunts, uncles and cousins. It was great seeing everyone in a comfortable, laid-back atmosphere to celebrate their marriage. Congratulations! Thank you for good food, good company, good drinks, and fun times. There website says open till 2am. We arrived at 11:40 pm. They told us that due to "volume" they weren't selling mini golf and were closing early. Please put that on your website then, if thats what you want to do and thats the "rules" you want in place for your business. We drove all the way from austin (1 hour) for my boyfriends 24th, just to be told no. It is really upsetting because there is nothing else we can do at this hour in san mo, and it will take us an hour to get back to Austin so by the time we get there everything will be closed. This is a nice establishment and we have been once before but it is just really upsetting that the website says one thing but its basically up to the people there if they want to close early (which obviously everyone wants to go home so who knows what time they'll decide to close when you decide to go). I just wanted to put this here so others know. If you're planning on coming anytime within THREE hours of closing; please beware. read more

Groups of people hanging out with each other just chillin at cool Adirondack chairs, groups of people, including dates, playing mini golf, and others playing cornhole. Nice outdoor area, well lit outside. They had karaoke, nice. But I will not recommend this place for my bad experience. I purchase craft beers and one of them did not taste the way it should. I took it back to the bar and said I wanted to exchange it. The person at the bar said they had to charge me full price for the other beer. I said.... I'm bringing this one back. He said sorry... I had to charge you for the beer. Never heard of this before. I've been to aqua brew just across the road and they have better service. I might add that this place don't have happy hour. And the beer prices are over priced. If you want a good price and you like bud light, and ultra light this is your place. We like craft beer and they are $9. Aqua brew down the street have happy hour everyday from from 4pm to 6pm half price beers at $2.50 and $3 craft beers. They continue a double happy hour from 8pm to 10. I will continue going there.
